Why is everybody so scared all of a sudden? What happened to us? I don’t know if we’ll win out, but I don’t see a team in the NFL that the Pats can’t play with. You have to beat the best teams if you want to play in meaningful games.

Not for nothing, but this is our Cinderella season. I thought the team would win at least eight games this year, my wildest dream was ten and a backdoor Wild Card spot. The team has ELEVEN wins and Drake is SO GOOD dude it’s ridiculous.

Enjoy it. Believe in the team. The expectations are going to be totally different next year, just ride or die with the team and stay loud on all the feeds. Don’t be cowards.

(Also Christian Gonzalez has fallen out of the top 10 for Pro Bowl votes so let’s get that figured out)

  1. They can. And any of the playoff teams can potentially knock them off. That’s the fun of this shit.

  2. Most agree that our starters can match up with most teams out there. But our depth across the board is below average. That could cost us easily.

  3. I think you can feel that way & also recognize there are going to be some tough match ups along the way.

Denver and Houston both have incredibly good defenses, and we are probably going to have to face at least one of them in the playoffs. And we might have to face Denver on the road, depending on how the rest of the year plays out.

They’re not unbeatable, we can definitely beat both teams…but they could for sure beat us, too. Especially if we have any more injuries on our line…

That being said, ya I agree the league is wide-open right now. Doesn’t feel like there is a team leaps and bounds ahead of other teams, for better or worse.

  4. This team might surprise us come January. I mean they already have this season. This is a great group of guys. I believe in them

  5. Yeah a lot of fans are being pussies. You either believe in the team or you don’t. “I hope we don’t play X team” fuck off lmao it’s the playoffs, you have to beat the best to BE the best. Cowards.

  6. Agreed. NGL, at the beginning of the season I was worried about the Eagles… but lately that’s clearly no longer a problem. Patriots going to da Super Bowl

  7. Yup. Give me the best, people still hate on the Celtics because other teams sucked a couple years ago. I don’t want to go to Denver for a playoff game…but fuck it, Denver doesn’t want to see the Patriots either. No one should, they hit hard and finish plays.

  8. All of the doubt surrounding the team reminds me of the early dynasty years and I’ve said that a lot. I’m not saying we will win the Superbowl but all of the doubt and “the wheels have to come off eventually” talk you hear about this team was nearly identical to the 01 Superbowl team.

Someone really needs to get Paul and Fred to talk about it more on Unfiltered. There were games where you were sure your heart was gonna give out like the OT game vs a 2 win Bills team that came down to Patten having his head out of bounds.

If we could also get Ron Borges to call in and explain why he was a consistent hater would be nice as well.

  9. There were worries after the Bengals game that we might start to slow down as we limp into the playoffs. Especially with the Giants playing close with many playoff teams, it was uncertain how we’d round out. And then gametime came and we beat the absolute piss out of them. Vrabes knows how to get his guys ready. I have no idea how this season will finish, but I have confidence we’ll do it with a fire in our belly.

  10. I agree that the Pats can beat anyone and I know they can also as easily lose to any decent team. I’m here for the good times of the 2025 season.

  11. I mean, they can also lose to anyone in the league right now, they’re not invincible

  12. I don’t care if we win or lose. The place we are at right now is already the biggest win of the season. We were supposed to win 8 games this year. This year was a success if we saw any kind of improvement in Drake, the offensive play calling, or the coaching culture. All of that has been a smashing success. We are already really good and will be a tough matchup for anybody and we may even win a playoff game or two.

I want to play the toughest possible opponents so we can see what this team is really made of. And if we lose, it’s ok because it’s literally year 1.

  13. They can beat anyone they can also lose to anyone. Pats are arguably the most well rounded team in the league, certainly in the AFC. But if you aren’t worried about the Chiefs in the playoffs you are lying to yourself, it is the same thing countless teams faced when Patriots made playoffs whether a high seed or not. When a team of high pedigree is in you better respect it, or you’ll get upset big time. Speaking of pedigree Josh Allen is still almost guaranteed to be in the playoffs, that’s another guy that can beat anyone or lose to anyone, but he can do that entirely on his own.

That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the run wherever or however it ends, but blind optimism is hubris.
