THIS COULD BE HUGE FOR THE RED WINGS: QUINN HUGHES & JACK HUGHES TO DETROIT?
Everybody is talking about Quinn Hughes. And that’s the same on this YouTube channel. You see this guy, you see his elite prospects page, you see his profile picture, you see it every gosh darn day because of course you do. It’s the hottest topic in hockey. But what if I told you that we could be on the cusp of potentially seeing some other conversations with some other Hughes? New Jersey fans, clench up and put your seat belts on because this is not going to be a fun ride. Let’s go out there and talk about what Greg Wasinski said on Twitter. When it comes to the Vancouver Conucks and the idea of a Quinn Hughes trade, now yesterday on the YouTube channel, we did make a video talking about Vancouver and Detroit. We made a bunch of videos actually. We spoke about Quinn Hughes’s apparent Red Wings and Philadelphia trade plan. Then the idea as to whether or not Tom Vander is better than Axel Santine Pelica. And then of course this was all fodder for the actual game that we were greeted with. Lank the tank. Lanken the tank commander stepping out there and letting in some Red Wings goals and giving Vancouver that home ice shutout loss. What a great game to go out there and watch live in the arena. But this Vancouver and Detroit angle is getting really interesting because every other day we are seeing some more conversations with the Vancouver Conucks captain Quinn Hughes and the idea of him getting traded over to Detroit or somewhere like that. And talks just got even more interesting when you had Greg Wasinski go out there and say this on Twitter. This was from yesterday. Is this the prevailing theory right now? One, Vancouver trades Quinn Hughes to someone like Detroit that’s a better fit needs-wise than the New Jersey Devils. Two, he spends two seasons there, hoping that he would sign long-term. And number three, summer 2027, he either signs with New Jersey or basically tells us where Jack is heading as a 2030 UFA. And this can be interpreted in a number of ways. You can say firstly, Greg Wasinski, what the hell are you talking about? Like this doesn’t even make any sense. What are you on? What does this even mean? It’s cryptic. Is it? I’m not too sure. But you can kind of string together an idea as to what Quinn Hughes’s plan could look like if it follows this sort of a blueprint. And you can just go out there and read some of the replies. I mean, I guess JP Gambes is also kind of confused. I am too honestly like this is not the easiest thing to interpret. What in the hell is Wasinski even talking about? But there are some interesting ideas as well. Shane goes out there and says this, like I don’t think Eerman trades for Quinn Hughes without an extension in place already. And I know what you might be thinking. Wait a minute. Quinn Hughes is not eligible to sign an extension until the summer of next year. And that is absolutely true. It’s why Quinn himself has been so adamant that yeah, no, like there’s no reason to think about signing an extension right now because I can’t do it. Like I can’t do it for a year. So why waste time thinking about that? But if Detroit is a prevailing contender for Quinn Hughes, you could definitely say that it’s a better fit with the Red Wings than it is for the New Jersey Devils. We’ve been making videos ranting and raving talking about how good the Cider Edmonson pairing is, but could you imagine what Cider Hughes would look like? I mean, Cider Edmonson is already the top NHL defense pair in the entire league based off of goals for percentage or not goals for percentage, expected goals for percentage, excuse me. Could you imagine what Morates Cider solid defensive play paired with Quinn Hughes’s dynamic elite teamdefining offensive productivity could look like? Simone Edmonson would have to get demoted to line two to play with Axel Santine Pelica. And just thinking about what Hughes and ASP could bring on different pairings, it would keep NHL teams on their toes. I mean, heronic Hughes is already pretty good, but Hughes with Cider, who is a lot better defensively and just a behemoth of a human being, I think that would shake the rest of the league like crazy. Now, this is a much better situation for Quinn Hughes to step into than it is in New Jersey, for example. You talk about the Devils and the fact that Luke Hughes is already a guy that’s playing on his offside and he’s a top four Dman and on a best case scenario situation, he’s probably a top pairing guy. Do you really want Quinn to be stepping on his brother’s toes there? What does Simone Neich’s role look like longterm? Douggee Hamilton is also in there as well. First power play has Simone Neich for whatever reason. Second power play has Hamilton and Hughes. So, you would have to move some guys around. I would assume that Simone Neich goes over to Vancouver if he does get traded to the Canucks in a Quinn Hughes deal. But then again, it’s like Luke Hughes is getting paid more money than Quinn is at the moment. If Quinn goes over to New Jersey, you have to give him that power play spot, right? And you would automatically have to place him above Luke. Even though Luke is the more expensive player, Detroit is just a better fit in general. But the second part of Greg Wasinski’s tweet is quite interesting. Let’s say Quinn Hughes gets traded to Detroit and he spends two years there. He spends the rest of the 2526 season and then he spends the 2627 season and the hope is that he would sign with the Wings longterm. In 2027 he either enters UFA status and signs with New Jersey or basically tells us where Jack’s heading as a 2030 UFA. What does that mean? Well, we all know that the reason this entire Hughes situation has even become a thing is because Quinn wants to play with his brothers. Two brothers in one city in New Jersey and Jim Rutherford stirred the pot by bringing up all these times in the media. But Jack Hughes, as good as he is and as good as his contract is, that contract expires in 2030. So when 2027 comes around, this is 2 years into the future, so we’re thinking long term here. When 2027 comes around, you could reasonably assume that whichever team Quinn Hughes decides to sign with is going to be the same team that Jack Hughes decides to sign with in 2030, if not a team that he could request a trade to or go over to or whatever. If Quinn Hughes goes over to Detroit, for example, and he ends up signing an 8-year extension with that team, let’s say he gets traded soon, and then he signs an 8-year deal before September 15th, 2026, which would kick in in 2027, 2028. Would that not be even more insurance that a guy like Jack Hughes instead would be the piece to move? I mean, it’s been talked about by various NHL insiders, Jeff Merrick, Elliot Friedman. Could not just Quinn but all of the Hughes’s head over to Detroit in some capacity at some time. That would be difficult with Luke because Luke Hughes, as we had mentioned, his contract goes on till 2032. He’s got a while to wait before he’s able to move around. If not, he just decides to go out there and request to trade himself, which of course would be quite blasphemous to even assume if you’re a New Jersey Devils fan. But the idea that Quinn could be setting the tone and starting this domino effect for the rest of the Hughes Bros that could inevitably end off in Detroit. That’s quite interesting to me. And I want you to let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. How do you feel about this idea? Do you think if Quinn Hughes goes over to a team like Detroit, he ends up signing a long-term deal there. Do you think that sets the tone and it sets a chain reaction that could inevitably lead to all three Hughes suiting up in Detroit? I would assume that Quinn Hughes’s next contract is a lot higher than Luke Hughes’s $9 million AAV. So, if they’re all together in Detroit, I mean, you don’t have that problem of Hughes overstepping his younger brother’s toes anymore, right? So, you can let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. Obviously, Red Wings fans would salivate at the idea of getting Quinn and Jack on their team, but you can let me know your thoughts in the comments. How does that make you feel? I hope you enjoyed this Swedish Astral 99 and bye.

Jack cant stay healthy…. this would be the beginning of a new bottom for the wings
Who can afford all three anyways
Why not give Quin an extension in van
As a Red Wings fan, I personally can't see all 3 Hughes brothers play in Detroit until late in their careers, if at all. If this did come to fruition let's say 2032-2033 Detroit Red Wings line-up could look like this:
Finnie Hughes Raymond
Bear Plante MBN
Kasper Danielson Genborg
Soderblom Lombardi Kiiskinen
Hughes Seider
Edvidsson ASP
Johansson Johansson
Wallinder
Augustine
Cossa
this channel turned into a comedy channel 😂
Now your being MENTAL!!!!!
This channels become whack
Lego: "why are my channel views so low?"
Also Lego: Posts nothing but off the wall, never going to happen theories, simply based off of tweets"
Huggy Bear resigns with the Canucks for a 10yr contract and then the Canucks signs his brother Jack in 2030.
The bills can't be this high.
While I doubt it, Detroit going forward should be a destination for a lot of players both stars and grinders as long as they are competitive. The hughs bro's spend their summers in Michigan I believe Quinn even has a home there. Michigan has most of the top youth programs in North America so a LOT of NHL'ers spend time playing and iiving there. Even patrick kane was living in michigan in his youth playing for Honey Baked. So a lot of NHL players plant roots in Michigan.
Yzerman making a trade. I will believe it when I see it!
All the Hughs to Detroit baby!! Wooo!!
Already playing with all three of the Hughes Brothers in Detroit in NHL 2026 PS 5 N Love it
no way……
Jack is overrated for sure, the 3 brothers are going to have a hard time all getting together to play on the same team. Teams would have to decimate their prospects and younger players in trade, they'd be left with minimal talent. I think Detroit could stand pat, let's see another year of development, and hopefully a stud D man will emerge from their prospect pool…
Had to unsubscribe with this take. That’s how bad this is man wtf
Quinn ain't getting traded until July 1 2026 at the soonest. This of course is diminishing the return the Canucks could get by probably half. If Quinn will not sign he will be traded within the subsequent few months before the season starts. He will be traded to the highest bidder which probably means any team other than the Devils. See ya next July.
better than ASP 🤣 no wait,,,, 🤣
they already have a house here, its perfect
This isn't the NBA where players don't resign so they can create a dream team elsewhere (cough, cough GSW). Unless they're not getting the amount and term that they want NHL players generally are loyal and resign with their current team if the terms are acceptable (Matthew Tkachuk being an exception). That is to say, it's highly unlikely that Jack Hughes doesn't resign with NJD in 2030, especially since one of his brothers is already there. Just more pie-in-the-sky scenarios that NHL pundits like to create for click-bait (and Lego content:))
