The Rivers Revival arc is the equivalent to the Mike Tyson/ Paul fight for us Charger fans and I’m here for it. More teams should just bring out legends instead of trotting out Brosmer tier failures.
Please let there never be a Chargers/Colts playoff game. It would be like someone forcing you to watch your two children battle to the death.

I would root for Phil in this scenario. Nobody on this earth deserves a ring more than him. If the chargers were to beat him, I would still be happy of course because my favorite team won. But he is legitimately my childhood idol and watching him compete for a ring again would be a dream come true. I could never root against Rivers.
It is January 25, 2026. The Colts and Chargers are playing in the AFC championship game at Sofi Stadium. The Chargers are led by a now perfectly healthy Justin Herbert, and the Colts are being led by Philip Rivers, who has played the best football of his life in the initial playoff games. Rivers has had a similarly fantastic game, with 401 yards and 3 TDs. In the final minute of the 4th quarter, the Colts are winning 32-31. The Chargers get into field goal range, ready to win the game, but a costly fumble turns the ball over. The Colts get into victory formation, ready to win the game. The Colt’s players, coaches, and fans are already buzzing thinking about the Superbowl in 2 weeks. As the final seconds tick, Philip Rivers takes the snap to kneel for victory. A tear runs down his cheek and then a small smile forms. Instead of kneeling, Rivers turns and runs through the back of his own endzone. FINAL: Chargers win 33-32. In his final snap ever of NFL football, Rivers decides to send his Chargers back to the Superbowl for the first time since 1995.

Rivers knocking out Pats and Denver in the playoffs and the AFC Title game is Colts at Chargers would be amazing
AFC Championship game. Either we get to go to the SB or Phil finally does. Would be by far the least upset I could possibly be if we lose a game away from the SB.

I know its wrong to root for an AFC team and all but goddamn it would be crazy fun and some movie shit to see Rivers make a playoff run. Obviously, I’ll be rooting for our guys but I will definitely be tuning into the colts games if Rivers gets the starting spot. Crazy story if this is how he gets his ring but realistically, I’m praying this doesn’t turn into one of things like your favorite fighter or boxer coming out of retirement to get beat up in front of the world.
