If Maton is his splash than 75-80 wins is the ceiling.
I believe Jed’s hands are tied. Can’t spend on players when you gotta rebuild the whole Wrigley neighborhood into things he build profit off it
I have to believe Counsell asked about their payroll/free agent plans before he signed on. The questions I ask myself are “did they lie to him and he believed them? Or did they say this is the plan and he was okay with it”? It’s very disappointing. I dumped my season tickets after 2017 and would never buy another package. We could be an amazing baseball city yet ownership on both sides of town is a joke. Although the Sox fans can have hope because I doubt the Ishbia’s are buying-in to let them continue to flounder.
