It seems a million years ago that this game happened. Today? Broncos sit at the #1 seed in the AFC!
Lotta fans will say the Dolphins 70 burger was their low point in the fandom. Mine was actually this game, a season prior. Christmas day, nickelodeon slime bowl where Patrick Star roasted us. Baker Mayfield had been on the Rams for like 2 seconds and diced us up. Everything had gone wrong… again. All the hype and hope we had for Russ and Hackett, just to end the season a smoldering corpse… again. 7 long years of dog shit middling , uninspired football. And this time without the draft pick to show for it. Here we were….. again!!! The Dolphins game was low, but the christmas game was lower. I legit thought we may never be good again. Completely lost as a franchise. Hopeless.
The next day i went on the NFL website & bought this T shit- the official branded shirt for the game. I said, man if we ever get good again, I need to remember how i feel right now. Ill never take another SB or playoffs for granted again. Never worn it. Hangs in the closet. And idk maybe im rambling but I saw it in my closet today and man, im just happy the team's playing good football again. Onto the Packers

I went to this game. I convinced my family to spend their Christmas (and money) to go watch the Broncos play at SoFi. Christmas dinner was cancelled after that…
That being said, sick ass shirt, I’d buy one.
That game was the hardest I laughed as a Broncos fan because I knew Hackett was gone the next day. It was necessary and cathartic, like lancing a boil.
I tried to convince my family to fly to LA and rent a beach house for Christmas and go to this game. I’m really no one took me up on it.
This was definitely the low point
(2) Jags playoff loss in ’96 and (1) Ravens playoff loss in ’12 were much, much worse. Just gutting. We would have gone all the way both those years
This Spongebob game was just embarrassing and you get used to those as a Broncos fan every now and then.
Before I read it, I thought this was someone’s idea of a prediction. That’s because I feel like this could be the matchup for this season’s Super Bowl. The two best teams meeting head to head, but this time it will go the opposite direction in the results!
I can look back at this and laugh now ultimately. It hurt at the time but it was almost a necessity to show how low we had sunk as a franchise. We had hovered around “close” to breaking through for 5 seasons but this finally showed we were not and a full reset was needed. This Christmas will be a completely different vibe
I was at this damn game it was horrible
I spent the game just watching the Perna stream while prepping dinner with my family. At a certain point, you couldn’t even be mad anymore. You just had to laugh at how awful they were.
I stopped watching the games and followed from a distance. It was effecting my mood and I wasn’t going to watch something that was just going to ruin my day every week.
The upshot is it was so bad it got them to move off Hackett immediately and clear the road for Payton
I guess you weren’t around for all of the superbowl losses.
