NHL Highlights | Stars vs. Jets – December 9, 2025
season. It’s the 10th calendar meeting in 2025 between these two Central Division rivals. The puck is dropped and we are underway. They met twice in the second half of last year, twice here to start things off. And then of course that sixgame thriller, the second round playoff series from the spring. Stars are dressed in their road white sweaters. They’ll funnel it in deep. Sam Steel is there pulling away from Morris. He then got knocked down. Taken by Dlo of the Jets. He had some traffic and it moves over to Ranton. Rink wide. Lindell set it up. Hasten shot. Hit bodies. Johnston got the shot in. Comry had to kick it away and Johnston second effort blocked. Lindell he scores. What an opening shift for Dallas. And Essela Lindell 44 seconds in. breaks the scoring. All that hard work down deep in the zone originally in behind their net and the Stars kept it alive, kept it alive until that wrist shot just a a complete discombobulation of defensive zones. That’s a lot, which is crazy with the success that they’ve continued to have in those road contests. But yeah, that historic run now it’s turned over. Short-handed steel. Saved by Comry. Oopsy Daisy. Kyle Connor. A giveaway to Steel. Dallas is still looking for their first short-handed goal of the season. Winnipeg scored twice short-handed on the same minor penalty in the third period on opening night in this building. Both for Shely. Dribbled away from him. He’ll get it back. Under a minute to go on the power play. Saved to Smith on Valardi. kept alive and he calmly with the left hand. Calmly bailed him out at the other end. Valardi in tight and they got it out in front. Johnston bumps it over to Hastenan. They work it loose. Here’s Robertson in. Delay shoots. Save back to him. Tight angle. He missed the net. All five defensive duo out there right now for the Stars. Shley who’s on theme there carries in. Connor with the shot. It hit to Smith. Leaked off of him. Stayed wide of the net. Good seven minutes of action in his first period. Stars control it. Long change here in the second period. They will continue on power play. Chance number two. They go careening into the sidewall. 25 left on the power play. Robertson left circle. Turns away with possession. Then low backhand across hints. He scores. Nifty set up by Mo Rantin and Rope Hints. A power play goal here early in the second to double the Dallas lead. It dribbles to the weak side. Watch Mo Ranton comes in from the weak side. Johnston to the net. He’s just trying to throw it across the crease understanding that he’s going to have Rantin sifting in from the weak side of the ice. Now Mo rant and knows what he wants to do before he gets it. He can see hints, you know, he draws the coverage and it’s just a little bump to rope. What a sapient play. Star scored 44 seconds into the first period. Even strength. The Buck 16 here into the second on the power play. Two nothing. They sport themselves a multi-goal lead on the road. Bourc couldn’t get it in front now to Petravic. He scores. He’s not finished. What’s he doing? Stars come out and land a onew haymaker to open the second period. Hustle down. He just bumps big Stanley off the puck. Stanley’s gargantuan. And he just basically said, “This is my puck.” They swing it back out in front. He stays on it. Comry actually fouled up the centering feed. And then the blast from Petra. The stick of Shley. Jets fix in a change as they hold the attack zone. Pearson walking it out in front. Jamming and the save made. Neils Lungquist takes his time and turned over. Shley got a stick in the way. Got it back and scored. Didn’t take him long after the turnover. Shley and Connor converging after they took it away. This is an E5 that it it’s an unearned goal that we’ll see what it sparks just trying to go up through the middle. Their two most dangerous offensive players are between Niels and who he wanted to get that puck to. And very quickly they change the point of attack and bang. No chance for Smith to get for Shley. Connor deflected threw off his timing. Dlo a leaping hold from the blue line to Connor in front to Smith. The save and he’s got it underneath him. Goal scoring machine for the last month. Up high. Hastin Lindell left circle shot save. Comry rebound. Robertson turned away at the corner of the crease and then Shley who’s got the goal in the game for Winnipeg has it left wing wall snapped low towards the net taken by the Stars Fox fired it right off of Connor’s leg clearing attempt held in Morsy Jets spread it back out Shley Mark Shley up for Morsyard’s the net front guy Shley to Morsy One-time and to Smith hangs on to that one with 111 left on the Winnipeg man advantage. Moresy Connor one-time blocked by Hastenan. His stick broke so he had to drop it. Turns it into a scrum as the final seconds tick off. Johnston’s out of the box. They work it left side and scored. It’s an even strength goal for Mark Schiffley, but Johnston couldn’t get fully back into the play. Hinan was emptyhanded and with 108 left in the period, it’s a one-goal game. We have seen more goals get scored because of players either be blocking a shot and being injured or breaking their stick. This time it’s the broken stick. Give the Jets credit. They pounced once they understood that Pacinan was in duress. The three guys just attacked the puck in the corner. They were going to get it back. And then just like on the earlier goal, they’re able to spread, change the point of attack. Mark Shley is on actual hat-tick watch. They are both out there to start this third period. He gets five on five. Dallas got the only goal back in the first. They split evenly. The quartet in the second. 33 left on the power play. Rope hints. Robertson hasting it to the left side. Granted it back for Hastinan. Robertson up high. Hastkinan. Robertson score. They took their time. They worked throughout the entire zone. And Jason Robertson gets another 19th of the season. Doubles the lead. Resistance with puck persistence. They just kept working it around. weren’t even really tugging at the buttons. But what they ended up getting, I think it was Samberg, the defenseman over on the left hand side. He’s thinking there’s going to be a one-time first. He’s just spinning, literally spinning around like a top. And that pass by Hasten is right into the wheelhouse of the Stars best goal scorer. And with that mini clapper, he just bangs it home. The Jets out of their zone. Perfetti have to feel like a gut punch here early in the third. They’re on the attack. Stanley save made. He follows up and he scores. The big man Logan Stanley gets his own rebound and gets it right back to once again make it a one-goal game. They created chaos out of just bashing it toward the net. All the stars are in there in the low slot area. This is what is Stelliferous. It’s just a bunch of stars almost in like a constellation. One time blocked by Nita Rider. And there on the counterattack Pearson for Nita Rider. Lowry going to the net front. Gets it and runs in to Smith. They wind up in the corner. The Stars pick it up. Back to Shley to Morsy. One-time save. Rebound is loose. Fought four and winds up into the corner. The Stars kill off their third tonight. Their 30th in a row. Perfetti shot save. Fighting it off. One and a half remaining in the third period. There goes Comry on the shooting. Now in front. A chance. Shley turned away. Great man. Get the Stars to chase a little bit. Overload on the puck side and it gets Kovian slowed it down. They stay on side but Dallas clears. Connor had to wait. They are offside as the horn sounds and Dallas hangs on 43. They beat the Jets.
Mikko Rantanen dished out three assists, Wyatt Johnston picked up two assists of his own, and Jason Robertson buried the eventual game-winning goal to lead the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Its stunning how badly Jets suck.
Rantanen maintains his PIM lead by accumulating two more minutes today.

Jets won’t make the playoffs this year or for a few years after that………….and then they’ll move to the USA.
Да ужж Винипег не видать в этом году плей офф.совсем никакущая много пропускают и мало забивают вот что значит нет основного вратаря
The Stars made it way harder than they needed to by not wearing their sharp new jerseys.
Who is this play-by-play guy? He really gets on my nerves.
Jets gotta make some changes in the lineup.
Stars power play is just an absolute killer.
Moose does it all!
Dear editors,
There is no need for multiple replays of goals. Shorten the edits
GG boys
Rantanen should try out for swimming in the Olympics

Hintz looking like Sergei Fedorov
I love hearing Razors in game commentary over the other commentators.
Once again, Dallas has reminded all of Canada that the South rules hockey
Sportsnet … PLEASE do not just use the winning team’s broadcasting feed for these highlights. It completely ruins it for all of us if we already know who wins based on which broadcast you use.
Stars baby!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m loving the run, but hoping it’s not just for the regular season. Still waiting for them to get over the WCF hump.
