Shedeur Sanders Postgame Press Conference | Week 14 vs. Tennessee Titans
How’s everybody doing? [Applause] Offense down the field, you know, you have the opportunity to tie the game. Um, just what was going through your mind when you know you’re taking off the field and you see the play go the way it goes. I was thankful that I was driving down the field and we scoring. Did you wish you had the ball in your hand in that moment to tie the game? If if I’m out there any play, you know, I would wish I would always have the ball in my hand, but that’s not what football is. Sometimes you got to run the ball. Sometimes you got to kick a field goal, you know, everything. I like that’s the game. That’s the game. That’s the most important thing is the ball. So, in any situation, of course, you would want to, but um I know we practiced something and and and we executed it in practice and we just didn’t seem to this day. So, I would never um I would never go against, you know, kind of like what the call was or anything. Did it work in practice? No, we just called in the game and it didn’t work in practice. She thought I don’t think you called plays in a game that didn’t work in practice. Whoop was working for you so well today in looked like pretty bad conditions out there. Um was working for me. I’ll say God. God was working for me honestly. Uh the way how he I would say let me be mentally clear out there. Um the game the game is mental and in a lot of different situations, a lot of um I would say when it’s a lot of confusion, when it’s a lot of adversity, when it’s a lot of things, you know, going on, um that’s why I feel like God steps in the most for me to be able to to help me stay mentally clear and mentally close to him. So I would say that’s that’s definitely what work was working for me today. Did you feel how important was that after the interception to be able to stay clear and then come back and lead those two drives in the last whatever six eight minutes? Uh yeah, definitely on the interception. I say I’m I feel we stagnant, you know. I’m trying to get a spark. I’m trying to, you know, so that’s all it is. And and as the game goes on, as time go on, and I know my dad mad at me for that for sure. I know the team, you know, everybody is. But I would say as time goes on, those decisions and those things, you know, will will slim down. Um, and we won’t be in situations where I where where I have that feeling, you know, like I got to make something happen. So, yeah. The one to herald the last touchdown. Is is he the intended target there? And when you let it go, did you know that he was going to go get it? Nah. All right. Come on. I mean, I’m saying it was great. Who would be the intended target? The whole play. Not not the throw, the whole play. Would you come up? I got you. I got you. Um, yes. I was intentionally throwing it to him. Um, and he caught it, made a play, and Yeah. What happened on the first two-point try? Did you just sn No, I didn’t I didn’t I didn’t That was on me. That was on me. Just didn’t get a grasp of the ball slip out. Yeah. The result was the fumble snap. So, that’s on me. Shor, I know you said um I know you said like that that second play two-point trial was something you guys had practiced. Um but but it wasn’t a surprise to you that you were going to go to it after you scored, right? Because I know Kevin was saying like that was always the plan. So that wasn’t a surprise to you. Yeah. Nothing we do out there on the field is a surprise to me honestly. Like uh we practice for situations, we do everything. And um if they knew it would pan out like that, I don’t think they, you know, would have did it. I don’t think in any situation if we feel like something’s not going to be as success, we’ll intentionally call it and then, you know, just be surprised when it don’t work. You know what I mean? So, I think every play I think that’s the whole league. Any play you go into a game with, you you you expect success. And if that don’t happen, that don’t happen. The result obviously wasn’t what you wanted, but what do you think you may have shown today in coming back overcoming all the adversity that you had in this game, including losing your center and also already being down to I say guys present. What about just the ability? I mean, do you think you showed just the the moxy, the never say die relentlessness, the ability to just come back and just fight to the bitter end? I’ve been this way. So, this is God showing a lot of people who I am. You know, a lot of circumstances, you know, what sometimes get you mentally not um mentally not in your best place, you know, and you got to find your happy place. You got to find what you got to find that it for you. So, I think that’s kind of that’s kind of I’ve been praying and doing a lot, you know, talking to God this week in general to get back to that place, you know, to get back there. So, um, yeah, it’s him. He the one did it for me. Sure. You talked this week about trying to work on the time on task. Just what you how did you think that felt today and kind of getting through that that process and being a little bit better in that area? Well, I’ll say it’s more faith-based. It’s more faith-based and just commit to it. You know, uh obviously me and Jerry had that dispute or whatever last week, but you know, I had faith in him. You know, he had faith in me and everybody put everything aside and okay, cool. Let’s go out there and play ball. You know, God forgive everybody else. So, why not we let’s forgive each other, you know. So that’s when you go in situations you have no negativity, no hate on your heart, no anything, you know, and you you out there enjoying having fun, then um that’s the result, you know, you you’re going to be able to get. So that was the message in pregame, you know, we all together, we got to be as one. No matter what um happens, good, bad, ugly, we got to stay together. So um that’s just, you know, that’s just a testimony for real. Speaking of speaking of Jerry, just on the touchdown throw to him, how did that play sort of develop? what did you see and then how nice was it to be able to connect with him for that that score? It was it was truly exciting um being able to connect with him because I know the season and a lot kind of like hasn’t gone uh the way he wanted to this year. So um the fact that you know one decision could from me could bring somewhat joy in his life and um be able to help the team out overall that that brings me peace that brings me happiness you know. So, um, just being able to just see clearly, being able to, um, do what I need, you know, and, uh, the staff and everybody helping me and getting me prepared how I need to get prepared for games and everything. I’m just thankful for it. Do you feel like you’re more in command now? Do you feel like it’s more quote unquote your team as the quarterback now compared to a couple weeks ago? I mean, a couple weeks ago, I wasn’t the starter. It’s only like what, second, third game, third game. But how much more in comm I mean, just how much more comfortable do you feel in that role? I mean, I’m I’m I’m comfortable with being uncomfortable. You got to understand like that’s just that’s just kind of like the situation I’m in and I’m fine with that. I love that, you know, cuz cuz my story and everything uh inspires people to make sure even if they in uncomfortable positions and situations to to to stay on course and uh keep that mental strong, you know, and be able to to to push through adversity knowing that you’ll be able to see the other side one day. So, that’s kind of like that’s kind of what it is. Two more. when you ran it in and then you threw that touchdown pass and you’re you’re bringing the Browns back there at the end. Uh how much love did you feel from the dog pound from the fans and can you just feel the excitement here and what it’s going to be like when you guys kind of get this thing going? Yeah, I I always seen the excitement since since draft day. I seen the excitement, you know, so ain’t nothing changed. Nothing changed with it at all. But enjoy like deep down w within myself, you know, that’s that’s where I felt the most excitement because it’s like, you know, sometime sometimes you don’t know if you going to get in that place, you know, you don’t know if you’re going to get in the end zone. It’s a lot, you know, that come with this game. It’s a lot to even get on the field. So, it’s like the fact to be able to to to start making that a habit, you know, that’s new to me. That’s that’s that’s something different for me. So, um you know, I’m just thankful for that. you like to accomplish in these next uh I know you always talk about getting better better better each time but these next few weeks what would you like to what would you like to accomplish obviously besid winning but what would you like to accomplish in terms of improving every single start? I feel like uh this week we have improved from sideline communication, you know, just keeping everybody chill, keeping everybody um under one tent basically analogy. Um communication everybody, just checking everybody temperature, how everybody feeling, you know, what we need to do offensively, you know, what what players are comfortable with everything. Um so I feel like that that that was something that that I feel like we improved this week. Um, going into next week, of course, it’ll be timing. It’ll be uh being able to anticipate a little bit more, being able to to do different things. See, see throws, you know, I missed how to get in that rhythm early on, you know, like it’s a lot of things I would say that we go in a week trying to improve, you know, and we got to look at the film. I know I didn’t play perfect. So, it’s definitely um being able to see that, being able to go over and rekindle my thoughts on what I missed and and why I missed it, you know, to get to the root of everything so then it won’t be consistent problems. So, every week um we looking to change mentally, physically, um and emotionally, you know, so then we all are in a better place for next week. Appreciate it. Thank you.

Now That is a true leader.
Inspired by his faith. I just hope that he learns to show the type of God that doesn't drink cuss fornication lol! In all honesty if God took it all away like with job, would he profess, or swear? You are facing tribulation currently and is it the principalities of darkness? Wisdom is important and that comes from reading and studying the living word. A lot of players that started out professing they don't keep on with it. So Idk is it the money? It is the root of all evil.Or pride or going with a woman who isn't seeking the same God? Find a woman of faith.
I love the way he speak and his positivity in the midst of negative vibes! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
5:25 im a fan for life after this one!!!

Liked this kid in college… Die hard, born and raised Browns fan. Was ecstatic we drafted him. Every time i see him play and every time he talks in the pressers hes poised respectful humble confident and mature. Hard not to like this kid. Been mad at my Brownies since we did Baker and Chubb dirty. Hope we keep this kid safe and happy.
Future of the NFL👑🔥🔥
“I’m comfortable being uncomfortable”🔥🔥🔥
The thing is they are just making him stronger. They can’t break him like they are trying to. He said himself God is in control. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Keep being great Shedeur!
Shiloh from Egypt the American original Egypt. That's the hatred
This young Man is humble as they come, understanding that God gets All the praise🙏🏾💪🏾💯
Coaching from the Browns lost this game. 1. Sanders did his job 364 passing yards 3 TDs + 1 rushing TD. No question who the Browns starter should be 2. Sanders didn't give up 31pts or a great rushing game from Pollard. That's on the defense 3. Why did they go for 2pts when fieldgoal would have gave them 24pts and the follow touchdown would have tied the game with extra pt. Fire the COACH! He's trash coming from a Bears fan. See you next week Browns.
When are they going to fire the head coach?!!
SMH straight baller Cleveland would’ve had a way better record had they just put him smh straight trash coach a bum fr.
Let him know to keep it short and simple
Because they wanna embarrass him
So, leave in silence,..
While letting your skills speak 🗣️
