Didn’t vest have trouble in any other role but closer like this since it’s probably cheap
No thanks, he puts gas on the fire when he comes in or too many time he will lose his control and walk the bases loaded. His best days are long behind him.
Averaged less than double-digit K/9 (8.7) for the first time in his career last year but also had the lowest BB/9 (2.9) in six seasons. 165 ERA+ too.
He’s not Dodgers Jansen anymore at 38 but he should be able to help a team as long as he doesn’t fall off Father Time’s cliffs. I wouldn’t have a problem with this at all if terms are reasonable.
I kenleyyyyyyyyyyy to libidibidouchuuuuuuuu
It’s a solid thought. He’s still been effective. He wouldn’t help with the lack of Ks though. The age worries me a little.
Old pitcher. Check
One year patch. check
Cheap. Check
Sounds like a harris guy.should be signed with in 24 hours
Have any of these end of the career closer deals worked out for the Tigers?

I’m interested in Natalie Portman wearing her pink wig and dancing in my living room.
His xERA last year was 3.74. Not exactly exciting for a reliever.
How about no?
I don’t really get why some are so down on this idea. Jansen is past his prime, yet still effective. K rate was still quite solid last year as well.

Do not like.
Literally the only reason Kenley didn’t have an era under 2 was the tigers deciding to shell him for 6 runs.
0.59 era in save situations and basically didn’t blow a save all year (his one BS was because of an error by Schanuel). He did have a 5 era in nonsave spots (thanks Detroit), so he can’t pitch any inning other than the 9th
What, was Joe Nathan unavailable?
Christ on a bike. Can’t we please, for once, sign someone who isn’t 900 years old and/or broken?
