At some point when the deserve to win o meter gets this high and you still lose it shifts from “you got screwed” back to “yeah you deserve to lose.” Obviously Husso played out of his mind and the ducks didn’t deserve to be anywhere near this game, but if you can’t score more than your opponent with a >5 xG difference you fully deserve to lose that game
It’s crazy how a 7-1 game and a 4-3 shootout game have nearly identical graphs.

I’m a new hockey fan and live less than 20 minutes from Anaheim. I went to the season home opener against the Penguins and I think the first game against VGK when Ducks beat them in overtime. I became a Ducks fan after that VGK game.
Games like today and also the shootout win against the LA Kings made me so happy to choose the Anaheim Ducks as my team. I feel like I picked a great team who looks primed to end their 7-year playoff drought and has a bright future ahead. I’ll be here for all of it! Go Ducks!
