The most disappointing part about this whole ordeal is dragging it out like this and making it emotional rather than just being honest. I think everyone’s just done with the constant rumors and lack of clarity when Horst at least did his best to appease Giannis at every turn. Rodgers didn’t even get the same treatment in Green Bay.
If Giannis was going to leave he should have been honest and just left in the summer. He can’t say he’s all about overcoming adversity if he’s already decided the grass is greener elsewhere.
The lyrics are literally talking about loving someone but they don’t believe you when you say it.
Then saying it’s too late for us to separate, but you guys are still acting like the insecure partner the song is referring to.

Giannis is a tender sweet muffin. Just give him space, he’s got big emotions. We loved it when he used those emotions to drop 50 in a closing finals game, and this is the other end of the spectrum of that passion. Embrace the spectrum of the shooting star that is Giannis and just send him gratitude.
If not for him, we’d probably have spent the last decade with some Michael redd level star and winning nothing important. I love redd but obviously Giannis is in his own stratosphere. This guy is incredible.
