Detroit Pistons beat Portland 122-116

What’s up, Pistons fans? Back on the winning side of things. Take care of the Portland Trails Blazers tonight. I I I didn’t have time to to come after the Milwaukee game. Um, let’s get myself prepared for the Lions yesterday. It was huge game for the Detroit Lions. Shout out to them for taking care of business against the Cowboys. Uh, you can hear that, Kade. But we took care of business tonight. And you know, one of the main things I want to talk about with the Detroit Pistons in this video is the ability to close out games and how important it is. I mentioned it a little bit before, but I think tonight we seen a reason why that may end up not being a problem for the Detroit Pistons in the near future. Let’s break it down. Detroit basketball. [Applause] All right, Pistons fans. So, before we even get into that, um, I just want to say one thing. The Detroit Pistons fan base has been showing up pretty nicely at the arena. I’ve been watching on TV. I’ve been definitely watching on TV. You guys have been showing up, been showing out uh to keep the camera panned on you guys, man. You still got a lot of personalities coming around the arena. Um you know, Isaiah Thomas was there again tonight, but you know, the fans, whoever it is that’s going to the games, if you’re watching this video, we appreciate you guys, man, because you let you let the refs know. And that’s what triggered this conversation. um when you guys get to chatting towards the refs after they make terrible calls because at the end of this game in the fourth quarter, man, those were some atrocious calls, man. Um you don’t call Tobias getting slapped on the arm and then you go down and call that garbage three point. I hate that rule so much. I get it, man. But like some if these dudes are selling it, if it’s not a legit situation, it should not be flagrant, bro. is if if guys are just falling on the floor like Jeremy Grant did, which we all know how how he can flop. Um, yeah, man. Y’all gotta I mean, the rule is the rule, but but still, if you going to call that type of garbage, you got to call the other stuff that’s obvious on the other end. Um, you seen guys like Cade out there frustrated. Tobias let them know a piece of his mind because he was the one filed, but JBstaff is always going to go to war for us. You know what I’m saying? So, um, just be better, man. Be better. Officiating just in these professional leagues have been horrible, man. From college to the NBA to the NFL, it’s just been bad, man. Uh, that game with the Lions last night was horrible. So, yeah. Anyway, so tonight’s game obviously, um, a lot of energy, a lot of energy from us. Um, Portland has definitely been a team that’s uh, you know, had their up and downs, but they’ve been playing some pretty good basketball here and there. They had a game similar to ours. Um, and, you know, they pretty much made a vow to the coach and said, “Hey man, next game we going to take care of business.” And they did that and end up winning a game against Cleveland. U, you know, coming in there coming into Detroit. One thing with the Detroit Pistons is it’s been closing out these games. We’ve been having too many nailbiters. Um it don’t matter who the team is. It just seems like we’re playing to win at the very end of the game. You know, I mean, any fan or anybody that’s a fan of the Pistons in general would love to see the Pistons just go out and get blowouts, but obviously that’s not the case. Uh they they really have been earning the wins that they they’ve been receiving. So, but one of the thing is the fourth quarter closing of the game and I think the solution returned back tonight and that is having the ability of shooting and the threat of shooting from Duncan Robinson, man. Duncan Robinson changes everything. I mean everything. Um, when you look at Kade, when you look at uh who whoever it is out there on the court, uh Duncan changes everything, man. He opens up everything because you have to respect and know where he is at all times. You have to. So, you know, with that, I mean, I think we can weather some of these storms. We definitely needed them the other night in Milwaukee. Um, but I think we can weather the storm, man. And and his knockdown shooting tonight was just I mean, absolutely amazing. Absolutely amazing. Pure cinema. Big shots, man. Tobias has been hit some big shots at the end of the game, too. I’ve noticed that. But, uh, Kade definitely needed somebody else to step up, and he stepped up, and we needed that. So, big time performance out of him tonight. Um, we seen some big time blocks from Isaiah Stewart tonight as usual. I mean, Steu is just Stew. Steu is going to go up and he’s going to contest everything. He’s going to, you know, I mean, here and there you going to see him get dunked on. I mean, everybody, you know, gets off here and there. Um, but for him to have that the ability, the the timing, the the the absolute dog in him to go and get most of these shots, man, is is just fun to watch, you know. And Gregory Kelzer says something on TV that I can kind of agree with. I think, you know, if not the best, he’s one of the best in the league when it comes to blocking shots, protecting the basketball rim, and he’s not starting. You know what I’m saying? he’s not starting at this point. So, you know, it’s just something that you just have to appreciate as a Pistons fan. And then when you have guys like Assar and Ryan Holland playing defense like they have, um it just like I said, it’s it’s so important to our team. It’s very important to our team, man. You want to protect the basket as much as you can to keep guys from scoring, but you know, I mean, not everybody’s willing to do that, and everybody doesn’t have the ability to do that. And you know, Stu does, Assar does, Ron Holland does, Ron Holland. Got to give a shout out to him. He knocked those shots down tonight. Kept taking them. He missed a few and he kept taking them. He stayed aggressive. That’s what we love to see from Ron Holland, you know. Yeah, we know who you are as far as going to get the loose balls and playing the defense and and everything else, but when he’s taking those shots confidently after the one win in off the glass, I kind of figured that he would, you know, saying uh let it fly a couple more times and, you know, our teammate, our team found him um a couple of more times and he he took them opportunities, man. You want to see him continue to do that. So, you know, like I said, man, it’s just the growth with this team, the growth with the the Pistons roster right now and the chemistry building. Um, but as a team tonight, they were impressive. As a team, they were impressive and they they took care of business, man. That’s what that’s all we can ask for as Pistons fan. Go out there, play your style of basketball. I mean, and we with you. You know what I’m saying? and win, lose, win, lose or draw. We with you. So, on to the next one, man. The Pistons win again as usual. Yeah, it’s good to be right back on the winning side, man, because like I said, I was a little ticked off with that Milwaukee game the way it ended. I did not want them to win that game, especially after Giannis went down with his trade knee injury, uh, calf strain. So, yeah. With that said, let me know in the comments what you guys thought about this video, man. And make sure you hit the subscribe button if you haven’t subscribed to this channel, man. I checked my analytics and a lot of you guys that watch my video are not subscribed, man. I know you don’t be want to make an account and whatever it is, man. But just do it for me. Do it for your boy. Uh, subscribe and hit that like button and man, I’ll see y’all in the next one. Peace. [Music]

  1. they had more offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, and a better free throw percentage than us. the fact that we won is one thing………but we need to really tighten up this rotation. Ivey seemingly destroys anything we have going positively tbh and its heartbreaking to see given the situation, but if he doesnt improve its time to give those minutes away. crowd was great, tonight with barely any empty seats almost like when I was at the warriors game last year.

  2. Ngl I don’t like how we been playing lately, we’re playing non-chalant at times. We need to be committed the same way we were at the start of the season

  3. The Pistons are great, but they need another DUDE.I hate to say it ,but I think trading Ausar or Holland is what I'm talking about not both.I think making a move like that will take us to elite status .They are great defensively but we need a little more scoring from that wing spot and that will help Cade out tremendously.

  4. Isiah said they don’t respect Pistons yet I’m wondering will it ever change are they told to officiate Detroit a certain way everytime they play cause that’s what it feels like

  5. they better smack the bucks in todays game! someone tell them it's my birthday and if they lose, I will become a pacers fan 🤣I got clowned for saying Portland is an up and coming team with just a few pieces from being competitive.

  6. Portland leads the NBA in FPP (Flop Per Possesion) .. Pistons survived the Blazers flopping storm. Detroit showed composure. Blazers hunting for whistles is difficult to defend. "You touched me. I deserve free throws."

  7. Sports are becoming unwatchable because of officiating. It undermines the credibility of the games. Ibeieve they ate hiring officials more on looks than talent. Lastly, when officiating is so bad we all wonder about

are becoming unwatchable because of officiating
