How Did He Even Stop THAT?! Unreal NHL Saves in Week 9 | Goalies Go Wild

Hudson delivers pass Duke. Oh, what a stop.
Denied him yet. Nothing but now a try. Down and night. He stops Hudson as well. Lenus Alark
is stretching across. He takes the shot. It looks like up near the throat area and fall down.
Stopped by Lear. The highlight reel. Dave. Watch the initial play down low. Watch him slide across
right between the legs and still able to recover. Spence works it across shot rebound in front jam
drop and it’s played out in grease as this puck is going in the net. Oh my goodness Rley Greg right
there with a wide open net puck on the goal line and it gets dug out keeps it trying to center for
the one kicked out on the rebound loose and swept out of there by Toronto. Good stop by Wol and the
second one goes past to the goal line and it’s swept away. Well, fights it off and then as it is
trickling over the line, big save there to clean it up. What an athletic stretch of ball a little
bit. Watch out Sherwood on the breakway. One save by Wedgewood. He flashes the pad. Flashes
the glove. Makes the save. Wedgewood goes full extension to make that save with the glove
and stone keeper. Sherwood with Han by Charis. A great save by Spencer Knight. How about this
save by Spencer Knight? Watch that lateral push. If you’re an NHL fan, you’re getting your money’s
worth and more in this game. Matthews back the other way with block is stopped by Babroski.
Wall gets plenty on this. It’s going to hit the stick of Babroski. What a stop by Babski. Draws
a defender. Floats one over. So you got to get up short side. He labels it. Top corner blocker side.
And that is the top of the stick. Got it through side of the net. Oh, that shot was blocked.
Oh my gosh. Kaiser. What a glove stop. Open the palm of his glove without padding. There’s no
padding. Nason finds LaMo with a shot save back hand by and it doesn’t go. That’s a huge save by
I think he got a piece of the rebound as well. And then N plays it in front. Ar get the save and
the second. He denied Luke Glenn Denning with the left pad. Glenn Denning didn’t chop it over
that pad. Terrific sprawl save by Archer right in front. Backand save. What a stop by Comry. Eric
Comry with a massive save on the turnover right in front of the net. Everything has picked up a notch
here. And it all started with a huge save by Eric Comry. Stops Suzuki and then denies Copio shot
save again. Brilliant save on Jake Evans. That man has been lights out here in the first period.
That huge save coming back across on Evans on the initial save from Gallagher off a turnover. Iron
Demid finding out to the middle. Great save made by Eric Comry off of Elon Demid. This save in
overtime. What a club save. Bennett towards the net. Sorrows the save. Over Hegy is denied. for
Hegy. He’s got Sorrowos dead the right but that right pad saves it from a certain goal. Rebound
save the golden pass. Look at that split save. Pass in front. Babroski made the save. It’s loose
at the net and the back hand. Nikico Mika saved the goal and now Babski’s got it. Nikico Mikola
just saved the goal right here. That hit. Oh. Save by Nikola. Nikola took a puck off the line.
What a play by Nico Mika. This is Forsber behind the Panther net. Oh, he tried to step it in
the Old Michigan. He had it up in the air. Babroski was there. The Old Michigan Sergey
Babroski says, “No, not today.” Babroski, he was waiting for that. That was a great save.
Look at the glove right to the top part. That’s an awesome save. It’s all alone. Stopped by Shurkin
as Duta goes all the way into the net. He gets all of it as well. He tries to elevate this puck
as Sturken rips it out of the air. Terrific pass just inside the blue line by Brady Kach. But the
best part of the sequence is the glove save out in front and Wolf. What a save to Ron Johansson. Oh,
Scorpion action. And somehow that puck stayed out. How in the world did Dustin Wolf make this save?
Look at this. That is absolutely incredible. And then Cadri knocks it away with a stick. Centering
pass as Johansson denied by Wol. Drop pass and a chance for a boot. Kicked out. Rebound stopped
again. Now Cle stopped by Lank and he’s got the pop. Three huge saves. And then as Kevin Lankin
and sitting on his kester able to reach his arms up, flail at this puck with boot around the net.
Coolie’s going to come up with the puck and Lankin down on his backside. Battles and fights and makes
a tremendous trio of saves. Hughes gets away from booty center. Another save by Vala. De Brusk
the rebound after Carlson was robbed in tight. Logan Culie higher in the zone and then Carlson’s
going to get his own chance and Valka spreads out and covers the bottom of the net across. Stop
that time. What a stop. Carell Valka in front. still with it on his forehand. Turns it to the
net and unable to cover waso. He makes a great save on the rebound again on Ovetkin. Deflected
rebound great savekin did just get it up. Another rebound opportunity this time for Ovkin and boy
really kicks out that left leg. Mcichel up into the field for big save. Mcichael on a break fought
off by what a stop. What a great stop. The partial breakaway and Billy Huso with an outstanding stop
on Conor Mcichael. All alone out in front. Busy gets a B to it as he denies Stamco. Brandon
Busy robbing Steven Stamco. Stamp goes a back hand bouncing kicked out by Busy. Stamco in all
alone. Hop over. Look at the back leg. He kicks it out. Bounces to Mcains. Ronald Bryan again
set up and it stays out. That is a terrific save. Look at the lateral movement by Wolf. And it’s
Dustin Wolf again making like a force field in front of his net. Short-handed break point. Two
on to Fogle. What a save. I don’t believe it by Knight. Bogle stopped by Knight. What a save by
Spencer Knight on a twoon jumping. What a save. Two on Bfield waits and the great read by the
goalender to the empty net and diving back is he seen him go to the bench. He goes this is
going to go right into the middle of the net but jams the binders on and gets two hard strides
back into the middle with a diving stick save and a beauty. Here we go with the shootout. William
to start things off and it’s stopped by Dovish. The shooter here hoping the goalender flinches
and you can get him to go down. Dovish was down, but there’s the athleticism of Knander went to
the opposite side. You saw that right pad go down, but the left pad gets out to make the save. It
pays a shot here. Save. Rebound. Another save by as he stopped Landisk on the doorstep. That’s a
big save earlier in the second. Tough to control that rebound and then you’re in scramble mode for
Ericson. Landisk not able to elevate and a couple of important saves for early on here for Carolina.
Deandria coming across. Skinner back to Landria. yet coachkov stretches out the right leg and
denies Deandria. Oh, massive save from Cochet. Pass on the wing. Gets it back and he can’t get it
past Coachkov. Mat throws it behind the net right in front. Oh, Kappan. How did he miss? Round try
stopped by Bington. My goodness. David and Kanan. Great chances on Bennington. Off the end boards
angles it right in front. Then they pump it wide. finished and trying to get back. He managed to
as Robertson hits Robertson saved. What a stop by Jarry. Just heroic to get across on Robertson
and Scott Robertson across Robertson. Jarry. A spectacular stop. How did he make that save?
Loose at the side of the Chicago net toward in front. Kick save. Oh, and a rebound right there
for Vrono. The rebound for Vrono. Sold does a good job. Watch that left leg pad getting across right
there. Little kick save and a beauty by him. Right in front. Rebound pass. Saved by Sable off of
Toronto like his team early. Gensel caught off a couple of times by Hildabby and a goal saving play
by Troy Spencer. It was a goal saving play. Here’s Ben with a drive. Loose puck and Hildy has to
make a couple saves. They pull off the goal line. Steven Lorent bought off a big rebound. No mercy.
What a stop by Johansson on Kelly Arnro. There it is. Right to him in the middle of the ice off
the goender. And look at that glove. Rebound save by Johansson. A beauty stop. Sending one to
Fabby alone. What a stop by Lucin who spraws out to Rob. Joel Faraby on the back hand. That’s
the best save of the game by Lucinan. That’s a important timely save by the Sabres Goender.
Intercept set by Calry. Sends it in front. Oh, what a save by Luc and and he makes a must
save moment happened there. Here’s Garland top of the circle. Put in front and on go to
Brusk. Oh, what a save by Gibson. Jake De Brusk just can’t buy a goal. This is the redirection
from Sherwood. And look at De Brusk’s got all kinds of time. That’s a great save by Gibson to
react to get the left pad up to stop that one. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music]

NHL goaltenders produced pure chaos in the crease this week — and Week 9 delivered some of the wildest sequences we’ve seen all season.

Linus Ullmark recovered from an initial high shot to make a second save, then later delivered a highlight-reel diving stop before heading to the bench for an extra attacker. Scott Wedgewood went full extension to deny Kiefer Sherwood on the breakaway, and Spencer Knight stood tall with a pair of massive saves: a 2-on-1 stop against Vegas and a calm 2-on-0 denial versus Los Angeles.

Jake Oettinger sprawled out to rob Luke Glendening, and Eric Comrie went lights out in Montreal with three huge stops against the Canadiens.

Sergei Bobrovsky read Filip Forsberg’s “Michigan” attempt perfectly, and Dustin Wolf teamed with Nazem Kadri for a wild scorpion-style sequence to deny Marcus Johansson.

Ville Husso made two outstanding stops against Washington — including a denial of Alex Ovechkin — while Carolina’s red-hot Brandon Bussi showed off his athleticism to kick away a floating Predators chance.

Pyotr Kochetkov shut down Dellandrea of the Sharks, and John Gibson delivered a clutch pad extension to rob Jake DeBrusk at the doorstep.
