Game Highlights: Boston Bruins at St. Louis Blues
as they make their only regular season visit here this season. They drop the puck and away we go. Peak along the near side, tried to steer it up the wall. It’s stolen by Shen. Centered and swaming a great stop out in front to get things started on Joseph as Middlestat will snag it over the line. Drops to Zaka up top. This shot coming in by Lindholm is swallowed up by Hoffer. [Applause] bangs it up top. Zidorov spins, shoots, and that snapper steered aside by Hopern over the glass. Sunquist double clutched on his pass. Puck bouncing around at the hash marks. Steves couldn’t rake it out. Faulk who’s got a bomb from the point. Thomas right into that pooch navage pulls it back. Thomas shoots. He scores. Robert Thomas found a little quiet ice and zips in a power play goal. One- nothing Blues. Middlestad to the dock into the slot. Zaka shoveled it to the corner across. Middlestad Harbertson taps up top. Lynholm shoots. Her loves it. Thrones are planted from behind. Robert Tavis from Pavo Buchavvich and Justin Faulk on the power play. Out in front. Zaka jamming away. Hoper. He’s able to cover it up. Shen will carry it out to the neutral zone. Bruins have had some rocky moments here in the first seven and a half minutes. Down one. Holloway pulls up. Swaming the stick save. Rebound coralled by the Bruins. You had geeky breaking but instead it’s turned over. Shen deep angle. Swaming read it. And now Lynhome will skate it ahead. Fowler now to Thomas. Back hands to Fowler. Just out of Zaka’s reach, sent out in front. Swam in the save. Sudter sends it back up top. Sudter had a goal against the Bruins in the first meeting. Sunquist. Sudter. F shoots. Swaming a glove save. Steves to bump it up top. Look out here. Twoon one. Here’s Joseph to the circle off the post in transition. Here’s Steves. St. Louis back to full strength. taking a couple of shots from Mayu. Zadorov steves and shoots. That didn’t get to the net. Cari recovers. Now Peak [Applause] to Cari. Peak shoots. Rebound. Her stop on Castellik. Man on man. Here’s Hanina. Beat his check. Sodstrom shoots. Kicked out by Hoford and now it’s grabbed by Thomas. He has the game’s only goal. Up top, Pareo. Walks in, shoots Swayman. He made that look easy. Part of the reason that the Blues offense is 30th out of the 32 teams here early in the season. Bruins turn the puck over left backhand. Swaming the save and Swaming again and he’ll smartly cover up. Heels back to weight now. Peak. indirect to Middlestat. Zaka softly backhand. Hoper kicked it out. 25 seconds left in the period. Pareo having a problem. Zaka who had two goals in the first meeting against St. Louis. Send it to the point and it’s kicked out. Zidorov with it. Geeki. He’ll walk it in. Boston. Zidorov. We got a delayed penalty coming. sent out in front and the save on the turnaround drive. Bruin, that’s where your loyalty lies, but you want to be part of the Olympics if you’re an elite player. Bruins start this period on the man advantage. It’s a Bruins Ford Bronco horsepower play. Here’s Geeki. Tapped off his stick by Pereo. Bruins almost able to keep it in. And now Posternok threads to Zaka. Geeki shoots off the post for the rocket up top. Lynholm to Lynholm centered. Hope for the save off. Nice little play by Zaka to retrieve that puck just outside the hash mark. One more minute on the power play. Posternox wheels his way in. He tied for the team lead with five. Sent it out in front. tried to look off Hoper. Here’s an Orb. Fires. Missed the target. Bugad’s out of the box. Then on net and Hoper kicked it out. And now you got a threeon two coming the other way. Joseph Duke shoots. Swimming. Got a piece of it. Couldn’t bottle up the rebound. Fowler shoveled it to Casamaki. Set on net. Hope for a stick save. And this one into the protective netting. Pete trying to dig away. St. Louis, the worst second period team in the league. Lynholm shoots. Hope stick save. Castelix’s got it. Jano fires. Deflected. Floats it to Zidora. Nowadina pulls it back again. Manon-man St. Louis changing its system. Pass for shoots. Hope for the save and holds. Deflected over the crossbar by Geeki. Back up top. Sodstrom. Hoer bothered Geeki. It rims out in front and Hoffer has seen enough. Knocked off the puck by Peak. Neighbors gets it. Fed right circle. It’s fired. Swim and a glove save as Bavich couldn’t quark a shot. And now a steal by the Bruins. You got Posternok breaking. He’s got it. Cuts into the slot on his backhand. Got tunned off the puck. Replay on Posternok. David Pos’s going to get a breakaway here. had a little trouble handling initially, but he was able to corral it. He was looking for some kind of a holding penalty there as he tried to protect the puck and try to go backhand forehand right here. You think about the penalty three and two without him in the lineup. And overall, we’ll get to that thought here in a second. Post up top. Mitten shoots. That’s blocked. Mitten gets it back. Post chopped it out in front. Mitten shoots. He scores. Fraser Mitten got a loose puck near the blue paint and bangs one home. Bruins one, Blues one. Connected effort here in period number two. And this is just pucks and bodies to the net. Create the turnover down deep. Force Minnesota to have to play deep in their own zone, defending their own zone. And the Bruins attack the net. Posinov. And then finally, Mitten. Mitten got the shot that was blocked and it came back to him and he kept the play deep. Out they come. Soderstrom Motors in a hard back end of the corner. Castle brace for the contact. Back to Jano. Up top. Sodrom. Shoots. Deflected. They score. I think Sean Carelli got a piece of that one. All sorts of traffic in front and the Bruins have burst in front. Bruins two, Blues won at first and Castellic gets it. They play the rim game. This line is very good when you talk about Jano and Castle. Regardless of who’s in the middle, they play that rim game. Jano makes a nice play along the wall to get that puck back to the left point for the shot. And the Bruins get net. Roberg kicks to the stick, wheels his way in. It’s fired and a blocker save made by Swayman. Bruins two blues one. Ball in. It goes kicked out in front. Swayman got a stop. Here’s Hadinov cuts in backhand. Denied. Mitten dribble it just wide. I think Groberg may have gotten a piece. Posternok a chip shot didn’t get a lot on it. It sails to the corner. Herford back of the net. had to deal with Haninovich sent it ahead. Shen tried to fly the zone and Thomas guides it in with a couple of chances there. Set out in front. They score. Lu Navage found Thomas. His second of the night and we’re squared at two. Easy exit. He’ll throw it in the corner. Cari chucks after it. stays with it trying to get it out in front. Sidorov shot it out in front. They score. Mark Castellic took that puck has it laid in the blue paint and he stuffs it home. He’s got two tonight. Bruins three, Blues two. Rally’s going to get there first and it won’t be icing. And now it’s go to work. Win some pucks. And I love what Tadorov does. He reads the play and he pinches down low enough so that puck will find him. And again, it’s a puck to the net. And Jano and Carali and Castle like doing what they do best. Win pucks, win physical battles. Get to the front of the net. Up top. Hampers. Lyn across. Pete shoots off the post. Post to the slot. Mitten shoots. He scores. Traer Mitten slams in his second of the night. Bruins four, Blues two. And Fraser Mitten, we talked about it, that negative sequence. He had a chance to put the Bruins up, was denied. And on this shift, alone, Jud, I think he tipped that shot by Peak that hit the post. And then he gets open in the high slot for Pasta Knight pulling that puck off the wall. Now Swayman shot it up the middle. Intercepted sooner. Shot blocked. Rebound. Swayman able to deny that. Lift it in deep. Zora back. Bats it to the corner. Thomas who has both Blues goals. The Bruins have it. Chop it ahead. Here’s Posternok. Shoots off the post. Blue still alive. Postern steel up top. Zaka. He scores. A Posternok didn’t end it, but he set up the empty netter from Pavle Saka. He’s got three in two games against St. Louis. And that should do it. 52 Bruins. But he didn’t give up on the play. He went in pursuit. He forces followed to the wall. He wins the puck. Sodstrom will settle it down. The Enterprise Center empties out. Bruins win.

any team with a stupid horn blowing needs to loose
This was ideal for the Bs. Played like hot garbage first period against a the worst 2nd period team in the league. Flush the first and come back and start over in the 2nd.
Hockey Karma working in Bruins favour…Two 5-2 W’s over St.Louis five nights apart…December 4 and Ninth…Hope Hockey Karma continues…GO BRUINS!
They gave up so many turnovers and won anyways.
Kinda lucky it was the Blues.
Go Bruins.
