Well, you can give a lot of credit on this play to Tapo Newman and he made two terrific plays in the Buffalo zone. First of all, on Joe Thornton and then secondly, he intercepts the pass and quickly moves it ahead to Maximanov and that’s what created the open ice and a fenug as Rick mentioned shoots at the same place as Alles Kota shot it. Roy tracks it down. Roy lines up, takes his shot. Flurry had that one. Bounc away the rebound. They score. Maxim off. Gobles up the rebound, taps it home, and Buffalo has tied it at one. Now, we talk constantly about getting the shot on the net and then going to the net. Well, the shot by Derek Roy was actually deflected. Flurry made the save. This play began deep in the Buffalo zone. A fenaganov actually fed the puck to Derek Roy. Roy shot hit a stick. The goalender made the save and Afenov just headed right to the net and batted the puck by the goalender. That was a knuckle ball a Derek Roy shot and a Finnov burst between two defenders and beat everyone to the puck and scored the goal. Works it to Connelly. Cross ice pass kept in there. Well, again the Buffalo power play wins in the hockey game and Maximov just shot a rocket over the left shoulder of the goalender. Jagrair goes down too soon and a Finnegan off right from the dot, the faceoff dot to the left of the net. Cleanly beats Jagrer. A quick shot on the short side and the Buffalo Sabres again pull a game out in the third period again find a way to win. But it’s taken away by Connelly. Connelly up to a pin again off getting it over the line. Max a pin again off cutting in on goal. The Sabres block a shot and a finagenov skates down the ice on a twoon-one. Derek Roy gets him the puck and a Finnegan takes it to the forehand and shoots it inside the right goal post. Beautifully executed and the speed does it. A quick move and then pulling it to the forehand and firing it inside the goalpost. A huge goal to put Buffalo up three to nothing. Kicked away by Rod. Took shots. knocks him again off with 1 second left in the Oilers penalty has Buffalo in the lead for the first time tonight. And once again, it’s a power play goal, but an individual effort by Maxima Finneganov after a wonderful play deep in the Buffalo zone as Mororrow broke in on Ryan Miller. And it was Alles Kodilik who made certain that he didn’t take a penalty. He hit the puck first, knocked it away from Mororrow and that enabled Aenov to perform some magic at the other end. He outskated the Calgary Flames and then beat the goalender. The puck was rolling but he still faked to the backhand. Took it to the forehand and slipped it by Kipasop. Roy chops at it again and keeps it alive. Roy leaving it for a back and he scores. back some of ends the shut out streak of crystal ball away and Buffalo has the lead on the power play. Well, Maxima Fenaganov looking dangerous every time he’s hit the ice here tonight in Montreal. And of all shots that beat the or in the shut out streak of a goalender UA, it’s a backhander as a finagenov took it to the backand and it looked like the puck went between the right arm and the body of the Montreal goender. Drury then put the puck back across the crease to Maximanov and Aenneov scores his second of the night and Buffalo beats Montreal by a 3-2 score as a Finnegan scores on the power play 30 seconds into the overtime period. An impossible angle. They are in the process of doing so. 90y tried to clear it out. Roy good and in front they score. Max it again. Maybe too little too late but he is rewarded is Max and that line by hard work. Here he comes again on Ray drop shoot scores. Well, he shot and will he scored. Two nothing Buffalo. Roy to Vanic to Roy to Ain again off and the goalender actually Thomas got a piece of the puck with the left glove but it trickled behind him into the net to Briier into the corner to Kot leak drips in behind the net slaps it back along the board for a finan getting away from Mabe a finan cuts out in front rebound right out in front of scores you got me once you can’t hit me twice max been again off on the power play and Buffalo with a two nothing lead. Now Buffalo certainly deserves that goal as they have pretty well dominated Toronto here in the second. This is a great play by Finnegan as he initially beats McCabe to work his way to the net for the first shot and then the Leafs just bounced the puck back to him. He knocked it out of the air with a stick, settled it down and whipped it by the goalender just inside the right goal post. Campbell’s turn to carry it in over the Ottawa line and he got slashed. There’s another penalty. Score. Campbell got packed but he kept on going. Dumped it out in front and mixed it again off one nothing Buffalo. Boy, what a great play by Brian Campbell as he dazzled his way in across the Ottawa line and then dropped it off to Afne again who buried it in the left corner of the net. As Rick mentioned, Campbell gets hacked but finds Aenov and he quickly fired the puck by the goender. Buffalo takes the lead one to nothing on the power play and they’re getting another power play because Alfredson got the penalty. That was being called a delayed penalty. So the goal wipes out the one penalty back to Heatley, but the other one is still in effect. Back to Kinder at center. Swinging it off the board to a finan getting it over the line. Comes to Dumont into a finan cutting in front of the net. She one scores. More magic from Maxim. Maxim off Buffalo a one- nothing lead. Well, Maxim Fenaganov, his linemates had gone to the bench and he stayed out there for one final rush and it pays off again. The incredible quickness of a Fenaganov. I mean, he is just so quick with his hands and his legs and he took the pass from JP Dumont worked to the front of the net. Abisher stopped his first shot but didn’t stop the rebound. But what a goal by Afenaganov. He doesn’t need much room and he took full advantage of a gap in the Montreal defense and cut to the front and scored on his own rebound. They they get on the minute they’ve got a great system. They’re all know what’s going to be happening each time they’re on the ice. Frier come. They score. Finan has made it three nothing. Daniel Brier with another remarkable pass. [Music] [Applause] Leaves it in the corner to Lud Mini. Tried to get it around. Dumont didn’t get it out. There’s another try. Got it to center. Twoon one. They get caught at the Buffalo blue line. Ben Eager, who was put in the lineup, and you got to wonder why, gets caught up in the neutral zone, and that sets up the twoon-one break. He tried to cover up. Actually, he got a bad break looking at it again. The puck goes over his stick, but Brier, the perfect pass to a fin again off on the twoon-one and Buffalo leads 5 nothing. Got right in the crease. They whack at it. Went behind the net. Round on the board. It’s Kinder keeping it in. Kinder got it to Hesh. He tried to clear it in front. Score [Applause] Maxim off. Buffalo gets back the lead. Well, Buffalo doesn’t convert in the power play. Padawa gets back to full strength. They get a line change. Buffalo changes and Maximov scores. And Emry had no idea where this puck was. He didn’t see the puck being passed to the front of the net. And Aenov just ripped it into the open side. The pass by Derek Roy and Aenov who has played his best game of the series so far tonight makes it two to one. And Emery just lost sight of the puck. Holy mackerel. He didn’t see the pass. across.
