[Jeff Paterson] Adam Foote says there is no way to deny the Quinn Hughes trade chatter has made its way into the locker room

  1. Great, another master class from this management team on creating great player morale and a top locker room environment! /S

  2. I mean what do you guys expect him to say, it’s all people have been talking about for a month+ no shit they hear it lmao.

  3. I remember clearly one of the main goals for Alvin and Rutherford was to, and I quote them directly, “provide an environment where the players can feel safe.”

They have only done the complete opposite in their tenure to date.

  4. I hate this era of Canucks hockey, all I see on socials is “HAHA YOUR GENERATIONAL CAPTAIN IS LEAVING AND THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT”

  5. Over the last 10 days in media, Foote hasn’t said the best things. Might be an indication that he thinks his job is on the line?

Yesterday he was describing the loss to the Wings and just said “it is what it is” lol.

  6. This sub hates foote for some reason. He’s doing alright with what he has to work with

  7. No shit Sherlock

Tf he supposed to say? “Nah we took away their internet access”

It’s all this sub and the media can talk about for a month but somehow simultaneously no one can know about it?

  8. He is being honest. Whats wrong with that??
Some people can’t handle the truth it seems. Its reality. It is what it is.

  9. The lack of accountability by anyone here in this sub right now is pretty fucking rich. I know I’ll get downvoted to hell for this, and I know it’s not any individual person’s fault here, but this sub in aggregate has been just as bad as any other community or media outlet at absolutely hammering on the Hughes doomerism and trade talk.

I’ve said this a few times here over the last half a year or so, if everyone keeps posting about Hughes leaving then all you’re really doing is manifesting it. Of course the things that get said on twitter, or instagram, or here will end up eventually reaching the locker room if it’s talked about constantly for months.

If you guys want to keep Quinn, stop incessantly talking about him leaving. Stop making so many posts about trade theories or sharing articles about why he may leave. Engagement is what drives all of this, and if people stop engaging, then the talk dies down and likely doesn’t make it to the locker room. Right now, it’s probably a lot of what Quinn hears about himself, because how the hell could he not?
