It’s been 22 hours. Alonso isn’t the only, or even best player on the market. The same shit happened last year with Fried and we ended up getting Crochet and Bregman.
If the Sox trade for Ketel in the next 24 hrs, everyone is going to be super stoked.

Paying premium prospects and a decently large contract for a 32 year old Ketel is a far worse outcome than just paying cash for Alonso
I hope he’s right! But nobody carried more water for Red Sox ownership last year than Flemming. He’s right in line with Kennedy and Werner, he’s just echoing what ownership wants us to hear.
