Jalen is 1 of 1. If we want more titles, he is our guy.
Why is this even in question? He’s shown in multiple years that when he has a competent OC he can get us to the SB, and win a SB. He’s not a Burrow or Allen level talent where he can mask and overcome bad coaching all on his own, but he can win at this level no doubt.

Grass is always greener, I would bet almost anything Tanner McKee is not winning us a Super Bowl lol. Jalen has his flaws but he’s not even a year removed from balling out/ out playing mahomes in the SB. Fans calling for him to be benched is ridiculous and an example of why we get a bad rap.

Yea, if he can do what he did in the future sure. But hes not willing to run as much so you wont be paying for the Hurts of last year anymore and the one you’re paying for is a 12-20 range QB who’s only going to decline further with age and even more of a drop off when the talent around him is restricted bc of his contract

also not sure that is how it works when counting years – mcnabb was traded in 2010 and they drafted hurts in 2020. otherwise it took the patriots 25 years between tom brady and drake maye to find a franchise qb.

I just want to know that he’ll still try to be a running qb man, this whole trying to be a pocket passer thing is just not it for him. I get he wants to stay healthy but he’s crippling the offense but taking away his biggest asset.

I mean, I think it’s a bit of a stretch to say it took us 20 years to find a franchise QB. Before all the injuries, Wentz was the best QB in franchise history. Yeah injuries took their toll, but let’s not say our old girlfriend was fat just because we’re with a new girl now.
With that being said, I would much rather fire all of the coaches with the exception of Fangio and Stoutland, then make another run with this team under a legitimate staff.
If paying Jalen means we can’t afford to keep both Q, DeJawn, and Carter/Davis, I’m starting the search for the next QB. Jalen’s game is predicated on an ability to run. If the reports are true that he is unwilling to continue running the football, his productivity/effectiveness gets slashed in a big way. I’d much rather keep this core of defenders together than extending Jalen. The D is highly effective as a group right now AND they really seem to like one another. I want to keep that side of the ball rolling.

Here’s the thing, we’ve seen Hurts play at an elite level against elite QB’s. We haven’t seen patullo put together a competent offense for an entire season. Simple 🤷🏽♂️
