Jim Harbaugh On Primetime Win Over Eagles | LA Chargers

Any update on Trey Pkins? Uh yeah, we’ll see how the week goes. Uh won’t practice today and then uh Elijah Molden left the game with hamstring. Any update there? Same. We’ll practice today, see how the week goes. And then Darius. So yeah, uh won’t practice today, see how the week goes. Just what jumped out to you watching the the film back? Um, it was a uh just how awesome uh one of the most competitive things I’ve ever watched uh in person and um just the the level of the competition and uh just the way our guys competed. you know, uh, Justin Herbert, that’s the most competitive thing I’ve ever really seen as a quarterback from a quarterback, uh, or really ever seen. Um, Cameron Dicker, you know, incredible the way he competes, uh, our entire defense. Um, you know, so many so many guardians of victory there, uh, and resilient. Um Cam Hart, one play there’s a completion on him, the next play he’s knocking down the the throw. U the tip PBU to uh TJ Jeff. So happy for Tony Jefferson. Energy. The ball finds energy and he’s always in the right spot. He’s always breaking to the right spot. Uh elite uh elite uh communicator back there. Um Don Henley just his athleticism continues to show, you know, ascending player. Uh been, you know, one of our top five most productive players on the team. Uh Denzel Perryman, again, I’m going to say it again, he’s playing his best football like we we said last week. Um the edges, our edges were uh you know, played dominant in the game. uh and dominant within the game plan. Uh unselfish in their in their pass rush um in in stopping the run uh every which way they could they could contribute. Led by Kell Mack who was dominant and did a great job of not letting their quarterback out into into scramble lanes or um you know to create create uh create plays. Uh that’ll be really important again this week. Um including the last play of the game, you know, the uh the game- saving uh interception. I mean, Khil Mack is is right there uh in their quarterback uh make making him elevate the ball a little bit. Uh just just uh you know, providing that uh you know, that led to the tip that led to the to the interception. Uh Tier Tart playing his best football. He um you know controlling the blocks. He’s uh he’s stopping the run and he’s running to the ball. I mean he’s coming out of the stack the pile. I mean he’s getting off blocks, finding the ball, running to it, playing his his best football. Uh Dand uh Dante Jackson um just the the level of detail that he’s playing with um is showing up in in production. Tarib still thought he had his best game you know since he’s been back healthy. Um and and Troy Dy uh you know just ton of respect. I mean just ready to go at a drop of a hat. You know put him in and uh you know he just plays great and especially on on third down. Uh Jamari Caldwell uh one of the most textbook force fumbles that you’re you’re ever going to see. Uh and also his effort on on on field goal block. Um just uh ascending player as well. They’re um I could I could go through all the guys really. I mean, practically all all Derwin James uh the the ultimate energy, the ultimate tone setter, uh the ultimate contributor, you know, uh top two on our team and uh cont contributor and and production and uh you know, everything that he does. So, uh, all those guys, you know, plus, uh, plus the offense, you know, that that wasn’t perfect, but, uh, you know, did what, uh, did what they had to do to win. And, um, you know, it’s the competitive season. That’s the uh is the season to be at your best when your best is needed. Uh, I thought our guys uh, you know, did that. As I said, Justin, um, Warrior, most competitive, most competitive game, most competitive thing I’ve witnessed in sports. Um, the way he played, willed us the victory. Uh, Marian Hampton, great to have Amarian back. Contributed uh big run in in uh overtime. Uh, got one of the games only two touchdowns uh on the reception. Kamani Videll again over a 100 yards and uh in production 60 yard completion and and uh and tough runs and Justin Herbert leading rusher uh but Amaran and Kamani were uh we’re close behind and uh you know just uh everybody competing, everybody battling, everybody uh just u knowing that the only the only stat right now that matters is the W and uh just respect the way our guys compete for that and that’s that’s what’s uh their priority. How did Justin come out of the game? I think good. Um, you know, I don’t, you know, I don’t I don’t know for sure though, you know, like cuz Justin will say, “Yeah, good. Feel better. Feel better than I did last week at this time.” And and then uh you know, gets on to the next thing that we’re doing, you know, the install and the and the or the walkthrough or the practice or the or the training session, you know. go practice. There’s there’s no complaining. I can tell you that. It’s uh it’s uh practice. Uh yeah. Yes. Yes. Uh yeah, competed uh weren’t weren’t perfect. um as I said with the offense and but uh you know got the job done uh and that’s that was that’s the priority for everybody on our team offense I thought they played pretty good pretty good not perfect but pretty good especially when we uh when we needed it I mean overall I think it was the highest pressure rate of his career maybe sack seven times. I mean obviously you guys won in the end but of course with a broken hand. Is that is that not alarming moving forward? It’s it’s always I mean it’s Yeah, we’re we want to we want to keep him clean. We don’t want him hit the entire J game. We want that jersey uh and uniform. Uh we want to keep him clean. What did you think of the passing offense as well? Those fewest passing yards of his career look like. What did you think happened there passing yard passing offense wise? Yeah, I mean what I what I said earlier, you know, this is we’re in the we’re in the competitive season. That was a defensive that was a defensive battle. And um you know, our guys our guys did enough. We went not really concerned about the stats right now. Um, but yeah, we want to be wasn’t perfect. Want to be better. I don’t know how much more clear I can be out of that. That’s how I think of it. Just how much of the the pressure sacks do you think was related to uh the receivers and how they were separating in the game? Uh, you know, it’s it’s also it’s also that that time there’s more the guy they’re going to let him play. They’re gonna let guys play and uh there’s going to be it’s it’s harder to separate at at this part point part of the season is what I’ve noticed. You know, there’s more contact at uh and you get into these December games, you get in these playoff games. I mean, you know, that’s that’s what I’ve noticed. And uh few times in the game you guys had some a gap pressure from uh puts inside linebackers. Couple of them it was just one-on-one running back and and linebacker. Other times there was sort of free rushers through the a gap. What did you see on on some of those plays? Um was there some miscommunication up front? Was it a plan issue? What what did you sort of see on those plays? Yeah, not I mean the same thing that you saw. I mean there was uh you know free free rusher u twice uh we can do a better job you know at that running back position I think and we will uh of getting that picked up and yeah nobody nobody wants to see a three technique running straight at the quarterback or you know and blasting him but uh my gosh you know he just and then spun out. Uh it’s the it’s the most amazing thing. Just uh do you without getting too far into it, did you feel like there were some communication issues? Wasn’t perfect. Did Mark earlier, where did you feel the most growth from him in year two? Yeah. Uh you know, just that uh continue the thing I said, the resilience, you know, I mean that that sticks out number one in my mind. Um, you know, just that, you know, keep competing. Yeah, you’re going against a a good guy, you know, uh or I mean, they’re all good and and and really good quarterbacks every single week, but uh just that just that ability to okay, they got that one, you come back, you get the next one. Uh it’s I mean just you know having the the resiliency and the relentlessness to to uh you know play good, play sticky coverage, play uh you know not not not back down, not flinch, you know uh just step up to the challenge and and uh and be good. Stuck out the most. How uh just how impressed were you with the game plan from Jesse? felt like you guys were able to bait some of those throws over the middle that led to a couple of those interceptions just to the overall game plan and how it sort of expressed in the game. Yeah, I thought it was uh game plan was excellent changing changing looks uh you know just the you know the the right call at the right time but also uh you know and and just the way the the rush and the and the coverage were connected and you know one led to the other. um you know and with the the ability to keep the quarterback in the pocket. Our quarterback was able to you know get out get out a few times and um you know I thought we did a good job keeping him in the pocket and and changing the looks and uh you know and um you know turning the ball over obviously was uh huge. Uh looking ahead here Kansas City’s under 500. Um just what are you expecting from them in this game heading into into their building in era? Yeah, it’s a you know biggest game of the season because it’s because it’s the next game and um it’s it’s that time of the season where everybody’s competing, everybody is I mean it’s lay it on the line. Uh probably a lot of cliches that you could you could fill in right there, but uh you know, everybody’s everybody’s fighting for their their for their playoff lives, fighting for their football lives, and uh that’s that’s what it’s going to be. You know, it’s uh going to be great and glorious competitive environment. Like a pretty much just the exact same amount of carries. Is that like the plan moving forward or was that directly? Uh we I mean it’s really impossible to predict the amount of carries um for somebody. Why is that? Before a game. Why is that? Cuz I’m not a prognosticator. That’s right. Seer of the future. Yeah, just coach. Yeah, I mean two two great backs, you know, Amaran Kamani. I think um you know that’s that’s a that’s a good place for us to be. That’s uh that bodess well for us. Having OA Tuli and Khalil all healthy at the same time, how have you watched them complement each other on the field? Yeah. Um, all four. I mean, all four. I think that uh it’s it’s it’s compliment is is a great is a great word because they all have a different style. Um, you know, if it’s, you know, we’re talking Khalil, it’s a, you know, it’s a, it’s a dominant physical, relentless, uh, you know, with all the, you know, all the all the moves, things that are, I mean, just unblockable type of things that that he’s able to do. I mean, his bull rush, unless when he’s bull rushing you, I mean, the only option is to hold him. That is the only option to uh to get him stopped. Um, Adaf the athleticism, the length, the the savviness, uh, the spin move. I mean, the different the different type of moves. Tulie, relentless, relentless, athletic. Um, but there’s a there’s a relentless motor to him that uh that doesn’t quit. Bud, you know, same savvy, um, uh, you know, effective, you know, gets it done, gets it done his his style, his way, really good against the run. Tulie really good against the run. Uh, Kay Mack really good against the run. And then they all complimented each other and it was in an unselfish way to where when I say that it’s like to keep the quarterback in condense the the pocket and uh you know ultimately get the pressure without trying to you know make the the sack that opens up a opens up a gap and lets the quarterback escape. But that was really good. I mean, that’s I don’t know of any I mean, that complement a group of edge rushers in the league that are as complimentary, you know, um, in terms of the style of play, but yet play the play the style of the defense as well. How’d you feel about the game, Greg Cole? Um, I mean, it got a gritty game, grimy, grimy game. you know, the uh the defensive game um you know, um getting first downs when you can get them. I mean, getting points when you can get them and um at our best when our best was needed. You know, it was um not perfect, but that was, you know, a winning winning performance. That stat is the one that matters right

LA Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh speaks to the media during Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season. Harbaugh discusses the team’s gritty primetime MNF win over the Philadelphia Eagles, highlighting the resilience of quarterback Justin Herbert, the complimentary football of edge rushers Khalil Mack, Odafe Oweh, and Tuli Tuipulotu, and the reliability of kicker Cameron Dicker. He then emphasizes the importance of this win as the team prepares for the Week 15 matchup against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

  1. 9:58 that is not on the RB. Put the blame on Bozeman and Becton where it lies. Bozeman doesn’t need to be double teaming and sliding the wrong way with a free rusher in the A gap. Hampton did his best to pick it up but you can’t expect Hampton to play Center.

  2. The offensive line did not fucking play good. What are we even talking about. The pressures and sacks are insane, stop saying you want to keep Justin clean and make moves with people you have on the roster.

  3. Jim knows it’s a sheet show on the Interior. I’m not going to question it even tho I’m very angry. If Andre James isn’t playing then there must be a reason. I wish I knew but this is what it’s going to be.

  4. 09:50 Can blame Omarion but can’t say one thing bad about Bozeman smh 😂 if it’s the gameplan to leave a free LB blitzer against a RB on 4v5? we have bigger problems then the oline 😒

  5. Harbaugh’s commentary on OL play is as tough a criticism he’ll ever level publically. He knows it’s the weakness of the team…and it’s killing him on the inside. Coach will never tear down his players in public. Go Bolts!

  6. Herbert needs to take a page from Phillip Rivers and Tom Brady. Get the ball out faster and stop holding on to the ball!
Have a screen game going boys!
    Have a safety outlet ready.
It will make it much easier to win.

  7. HARBAUGH HOW ARE YOU BLAMING RB INSTEAD OF BOZEMAN FOR THE OPEN A GAPS?!!!

STOP DEFENDING BOZEMAN. He deserves manslaughter chargers for how he let people free rush Herbert

  8. Center and right guard need to block somebody. The OC needs to call a better game.1st down run, 2nd down run, 3rd down QJ running 40 yds downfield and QB must get rid of the football in less than 2.5 seconds unless you have a 6th OFFENSIVE LINEMAN. GO BOLTS BEAT KC CHIEFS.ALSO WHEN QJ HAS DB BEAT AND HERBERT IS TRYING TO FIND SOMEBODY OPEN TO PASS TO KEEP RUNNING TOWARDS ENDZONE .OUR WR'S RUN A ROUTE THEN STOP; KEEP MOVING OR COME BACK TO BALL.BOLT UP!

  9. Seriously need Hortiz to basically make half the draft OL… Lord have mercy its just atrocious. IOL, Maybe X – WR, DLine should be the focus. WR wise, i love Ladd, but hes more of a Keenan heir basically, a great #2. QJ a good #3. Need an elite go to guy down the field

  10. Keep Pipkins out of the lineup… he’s the weakest link on the OL… always gives up on his Blocks…

Greg Roman Is a Predictable Conservative Egotistical Dingleberry… he probably doesn’t know what Quick slants, screens… rpos… trick plays.. like flea flicker… are… his plays are not protecting Justin Herbert… he’s getting him killed… too many 5 step drops… Come on… Herbert Needs to call his own plays.., he’s been in the League long enough… he needs to do more hard counts… change up on the cadence because… whenever he calls kill kill… defenses pretty much knows it’s almost 99% a run by the rb… there should be more Quick slants like that play for Ladd McConkey… for a TD a few weeks ago…

Wake Up Greg Roman … this is the NFL not Peewee Football…
