Why don’t we attempt more deep passes when its one of Jayden’s strongest ability?

  1. Few factors to consider here:

    (1) Our receivers were injured most of this season. Who was he throwing to? Practice squad guys/scrubs.
    (2) need the run game to be strong and well-established so that we can set up for the long pass. We lost Austin and with him lost that healthy respect for the run game.
    (3) we were behind early on in games, so defenses knew we had to pass. They dial up blitzes or drop 7 into coverage, both of which can take away the long game

  2. This is one I’ll defend him on. He doesn’t have a genuine deep threat besides Terry. I’ll die on that hill.

He hit dyami a lot last season cause he had speed in the postseason

  3. He’s gun shy now, coaches are trying to turn him into a pocket passer so now he’s scared of throwing an INT.

  4. Because guys don’t get open. Luke did a feel times before he got hurt, deebo isn’t that fast, and the other guys would drop passes if throw to. Without Terry and Noah Brown, there is no serious downfield threat.

  5. Finally I can make a comment without criticizing JD. Our O-line has been trash this year. Bit of improvement recently, but on the whole not good.

C’mon man. Jayden missed 6 games. Terry been out. Noah been out. Pretty easy if you think about why.
