I would be ecstatic to land Thompson but buffalo has no reason to trade him. We’d have to significantly overpay
We would have to not be on his modified no-trade list first. Even if we’re aren’t, I’m not sure what we could possibly give buffalo for them to give up their 1C who has a crazy good contract. I’m not even sure they’d trade Thompson for Aho.

I’ve had my eye on Jason Robertson since the trade rumors before the season. He can play multiple positions including center, has size, scoring ability and we could trade back Dallas picks to them along with some other pieces. This is who we need for goal scoring
