I’ve been watching the Birds for 51 years. I’m grateful for Jalen.
Let’s see if he can outplay the other qb in that superbowl Kenny Pickett this Sunday. I’m a big Jalen hurts defender but that would be hilarious if we lose
Anyone calling for him to be benched or traded has only been watching the eagles since last February
Can’t win a Super Bowl if you play like Jj McCarthy in the regular season.
I wouldn’t say he outplayed mahomes in SB 57, I think they both balled out. But bro he can’t carry the offense anymore, and it’s not completely his fault. Imo when he was truly elite in 2022, he could carry cause back then the RPO was lethal, and tbh his mobility was his greatest asset. But after his knee injury in 2023, he isn’t as mobile anymore. If u watch him scramble from the 2022 season to now, it’s like watching a different player move. Now as a result of that, he is kind of being exposed a bit since he kind of has to be more of a pocket passer, and is unable to go through progress that well. Either way he can’t carry the offense.
That’s the only time he throw 3+ picks but he’s a upgrade from Wentz
Jalen had a really bad game.
A few weeks ago, he was playing a solid year within a scheme that was unimaginative and predictable.
The last game introduced new concepts that didn’t get adequately practiced in the off-season. It is not surprising that Jalen was out of sync with his protection and his receivers.
Any quarterback needs a coaching staff that can put the team in the best position to take advantage of the talent on the field. Jalen has not had that this year. That’s very different from thinking that we’d be better off with a dart throw at QB.

Remind me how Jalen carried the Eagles? I kind of remember the Eagles carrying Jalen. You know ball though.

Jalen Hurts carrying the eagles offense for 2 games (very very generous definition of carrying) is not the same as him doing it consistently.
I honestly don’t know which side is more insufferable, the “bench Jalen” crowd or the “he won a SB guys you have to be nice to him” folks.
Not every game is a referendum on a player’s entire career and potential. He is capable of playing at a very high level. Right now he is not playing anywhere near that. That’s all.
