I didn't see this discussed, but CBSSports has an article on Giannis' trade value not being what one might expect.

If I am thinking of this right, Sam Quinn is not good.
As we get closer and closer to 12/15, it seems less likely that Giannis will get traded at all. The last part of the article is pretty much what I’ve been thinking this whole time: more teams are becoming risk-adverse and are more than willing to hold on to young talent. The teams that are closer to maybe challenging OKC are thinking about 2-3 years from now, not this year.
CBS getting in on the ESPN narrative now?
I really do think teams are getting more risk-averse under the current CBA, but even with that, the Bucks would still pull in strong offers if Giannis ever asked out. What drives me wild is this “wait and see” storyline about challenging the Thunder. It’s such a lazy narrative. OKC is built to be good for a long time. If you’re not trying to compete *now*, then what’s the point of owning a franchise besides padding your bank account?
This whole “just be patient” bit from the media is nonsense. Contenders don’t wait for perfect conditions. They push, they adjust, they take swings. Acting like the league should tiptoe around OKC’s window is exactly the kind of thinking that gets teams stuck in the middle.
Yeah I didn’t see this being discussed either. I had no idea there was even the thought of Antetokounmpo being traded. I bet sports media is going to blow this out of proportion, that’s my guess.
