  2. I mean. Baseball drafts are not as much of a “sure thing” as other sports. NBA is basically a race to top 2-3 picks, with a surprise gem later in the 1st. Filler after.

    NFL draft is 1st round for gold, sometimes 2nd. 3rd and after is lucky to be a starter.

    Then, in MLB you can snag a late round pick and get a star. Canseco (15th round), Pujols (13), Nolan Ryan (12th) or the all time late round GOAT – Mike Piazza (62nd round – 1,390th overall) obviously those are sort of hyperbole, but 1st round doesn’t hold as much weight in baseball.
