For a run-first team, having the worst run-blocking centre and the second worst run-blocking guard in the league is absolutely insane.

  7. I don’t think there’s been 2 “starting” #1 on the depth chart players this bad on any team in the history of pff. They’re historically bad. lol.

  8. Can we not see what is available off the street in FA, especially for Becton who doesn’t call any protections or have any need to have a lot of scheme knowledge. Look how well Hart has played, why can’t we try and find that for OG?

  9. Crazy how the tackles are both on backups (even backups backup), yet both still somehow quite a bit better than this duo

  10. Becton is the type of G that needs a good tackle next to him. I bet next year with Joe Alt healthy he will look much better. Just my opinion.

  11. Can we not try Penning / Deculus at guard? Surely they can’t be any worse than what we have? Even trying Andre James must be worth a punt. The coaching staff have to figure it out or our season ends in our first play off game

    Idk if Foster is still on the team but him or whoever else at Right tackle while Pip heals.

  15. What’s crazy is Becton was brought in to be a run blocker. That was his specialty. On the eagles he was a below avg pass blocker but a borderline elite run blocker. Now he’s just hot garbage at both.

  17. And while we’re at it Matlock is a brick shit house, how are we not using him more? how is he not getting some FB dive plays on tight 3rd downs? Why is he not ever carrying? Let him block more! I’m sure he’s definitely better at plugging a gap than Omarion was last week.

  19. Chargers should sign Alijah Vera Tucker and resign Zion Johnson and let Pipkins walk.

    Now they have 3 good guards and some depth and Zion and Becton can compete for Left Guard and AVT Can be the starting good right guard

    Alt – Zion/Becton – new Center (Pocic?) – Alijah VT – Slater

  20. Honestly at this point I find the OL situation hilarious. It’s like a comedy sketch. If we make the playoffs we have had a great season.
