No tank hurts more everyday

But seriously can CJ still make these explosive plays? They’ve disappeared… OC? Protection? Pocke PTSD?

Can the 2025 #7 still do THIS…?

  1. There were two huge chunk plays this past Sunday. Overall I think Caley’s system does doesn’t rely on big plays like these, which is really unfortunate

  2. I don’t think so. It seems to me that both his arm strength, accuracy and most importantly his confidence has declined since his rookie year.

  3. Seeing Tank in these highlights makes me so sad. I miss him and hope he can come back from his injury with the same speed and quickness he had.

  4. I think rookie CJ had OL confidence that was ingrained into him at OSU and carried over somewhat to Year 1. Year 2 OL basically killed that causing CJ to be constantly on the run and Year 3 OL although less terrible still hasn’t cured the Year 2 PTSD.

That plus defenses are forcing the team to dink and dunk because they know the offense isn’t good enough to sustain a drive without a sack/penalty killing the drive.

CJ still has it in him, but it’s going to take a combo of OL work and also QB room tape work showing him times where maybe he’s feeling pressure that’s not there.

  5. Didn’t he do this twice against the Chiefs last weekend. Mind you they didn’t go for tuddies, but he threw deep balls.

  6. Yes lol his arm strength and accuracy is still evident and was in the Chiefs game. He doesn’t have time for longer routes like these which is unfortunate but at-least the OC is scheming around the O-line this year.

  7. I think the Oline he has had the past couple years has really shaken his confidence. Sports psychology is a big thing. I think it was Brad Lidge that got his confidence absolutely destroyed by a Pujols homerun and was terrible for a while afterwards until a sports psychologist helped him.

  8. I’ll say this. He had time and an open man with Collins last game and Collins had to drop back to bail out CJ.

I don’t know what’s up but it makes you wonder. Maybe that was just one pass.

He can still dart em and thread the needle in short to mid passes for sure

  9. Idk that deep ball to Nico looked short but we haven’t seen him throw them too Many this year

  10. CJ has shown the ability to do that this year (49ers game he had an absolute dot to Noel) but I think the opportunities haven’t been there because teams don’t need safety help vs our run game and we don’t have a second receiver that can stretch the field like Dell could.
