I know every stadium is different and it always depends on who you get at the gate.
I have a Sony RX100 that I take everywhere. Anyone have experience taking anything like this in?
I'm going to be at the Shoresy game tomorrow night.

  1. As long as it doesn’t have a detachable lens.

Have taken in for both concerts and hockey.

  2. I bring various point-and-shoot film cameras to UBS all the time. As long as it’s not a “detachable lens” I think you’re fine, I know you mentioned it being just under 3″ but I doubt they’d pull out the ruler to check for that.

That said since this question has already been answered I will use this comment as a way of expressing that for whatever reason it seems to me they’ve gotten slightly stricter about this policy? None of the gate staff at UBS ever cared before but this season they’ve started hassling me about it for whatever reason, turning the camera over in their hands and asking other staff if this is an allowed camera. Must have been some top-down directive in response to something happening, I guess? I mean, the season before on the home closer some Caps fan who didn’t know the policy tried to get through with a whole case of professional equipment and was rejected but after some argument (where am I gonna put this, etc etc) they relented and let him through.

That’s it, just rambling on semi-related stuff. You’ll 100% be fine.
