2 points in 25 games and he’s averaging *less* TOI per game than last season. Respectfully, shut the fuck up Ryan.

  1. bro has 2 points in 25 games and is a -8. he came here to fight and didn’t really even do that too much. he also described his own knees as “loose” when he wakes up in the morning, i believe?

    guy stinks

locker room vibes tho, playlist man

  2. We don’t care Ryan. You knew what the arrangement was.

This guy clearly went to the Marner School of Being a Victim of Nothing.

  3. I kinda feel for reavo it can’t be easy to hear that but at the same time being a cutthroat org evidently works when you look at Vegas

  4. Man this is one thing about him I hated always whining to the media while failing to produce. Even after the leafs did right by him trading him to a team that would use him he’s still bitching

  5. I can agree with his sentiment, Dubas/Tree have always been kinda muddy. Whereas Lou would have blown his shit smooth off behind the Master Card Centre.

  6. As much as I want the leafs to win and not give up empty roster spots, Reavo really helped the locker room vibes.

If I remember correctly, he said something in the lines that the team has never had a team dinner on the road – which is crazy to even think of.

Best of luck to you Reavo!

  7. To be fair hes reached his last season point totals in 10 less games with San Jose.

But that point total happens to be 2.

  8. Mind you San Jose already hates him, he’s been scratched 2 of his last 3 games, and there’s talk of them being done with him lol

  9. I mean, he’s only playing now because the Sharks have young guys to “protect” and they aren’t as deep as the Leafs. Heck, he only has 19 PIM’s this year too so I’m not sure how much protecting he’s doing either.

I doubt anyone on the Leafs actually uttered the words “you can’t play in this league anymore” as he “basically” put it. Tough as an athlete to find yourself on the outside when you really want to play though so i get it.

  10. yup 2 goals in 25 games, -8. Sounds much more like the message was, you cant play in this league, at a contender level. But to hit a salary cap, bring a room together, and in theory, stand up for the young guys, there is some use there.

  11. Holds no grudges yet repeatedly calls them out in the media. Glad this dude is off the team. He wasn’t good enough to play on the 2024 Leafs – he is good enough for the 2025 Sharks (barely)

  12. It sucks that last year went the way that it did, that 2023-24 team was one of my personal favourites in the Matthews era. A lot of that I would say was from the spark plug/energy guys like Benoit, Reaves, Domi, and Bertuzzi gooning it up. The Benoit/Reaves hit sequence in the 2024 playoffs was [electric](https://youtu.be/c1EIGVUfkAA?si=UnY7Js6oF7i9L65P)

  13. How can you ask for honesty in one breath and say they told you that you sucked in the next? Sounds like they were pretty honest.

  14. His entire Leafs career he had 8 points. Last season he had 0 goals and 1 fight.

Not worth a roster spot, plus he was a distraction

  15. I don’t blame the guy for feeing this way he’s been in the league forever and clearly still has the psalm for the game. That being said he’s ahl calibre atp in his career

  16. Let’s face it, 2 points and -8, you’re not there to play hockey you’re there to keep Macklin safe, I just hope you’re better at doing that there, then you were here in Toronto

  17. A slow fighter signs a 3yr deal at 36yrs old and is shocked he didn’t finish the contract out with the team…

He’s lucky to have received that 1st contract, and he’s lucky the team was able to find a taker. He should be thanking the organization

  18. Honestly they could have just made him the powerplay coach

Keep the vibes and it’s not like it could be much worse anyways

  19. He got suspended for the Nurse hit and mentally checked out the entire season after the suspension. Straight up chicken shit scared play after that, but sure it’s our fault 😂😂😂

Being a leafs fan is insane, fans of other teams absolute dogpiled on marner and reaves but once they leave and do anything it’s “wow bet the leafs regret that now!”

Same people who would shit on them while on our team lol.

  20. I think the Leafs management had certain unspoken motivations for bringing Reeves on board, and he’s right to be salty about it.

  21. He leafs gave him a bloated contract to not play and the guy thinks the team still owes him something. lol

  22. He did not hit, he did not fight, he did not deter, he did not get revenge. If you needed the coaching staff or management to tell you at this stage of your career what you needed to bring to stay on the roster.. man I don’t know what to say to this.

I think he brought the wrong vibes if this is what he thinks of how it went down. He probably thought he was entitled to a silver stick and played not to get hurt, that actually explains his play in hindsight.

  23. Who? Oh yeah, the guy they brought in to fight that rarely did. Maybe that conversation wasn’t necessary when it became obvious to anyone that he had no purpose on this team.

The egos on some of these guys and the delusions about how important they the think they are is staggering sometimes.

You played bad and you didn’t fill the role you were brought here to fill. Face reality.

  24. We just sign an absolute bag of a player every season. This year it’s Dakota. Defenders argue they provide something then after like 6-8 months they are just poison on the ice.

Reaves had a small cap hit at least. It’s not his fault we lied to him selling him on being an impact player. I don’t know if management is actually stupid or clueless.

Stolarz comes to mind. A career nobody that has a good year and management and fans think he’s a literal savior. Same cycle every year.

  25. he hasn’t been able to play in this league going on a decade but cro magnon gms haven’t gotten the message

  26. i’m cheering for him. i don’t like Brad and how they treated him. i hope he makes his physical presence felt

  27. Low skill, locker room vibes, and a passive intimidation aura for anyone that might take liberties with the rookies is a useful roster slot on a team trying to establish their culture before their competitive window really opens up. The Leafs aren’t trying to be in that demographic anymore, even if their record is basically the same as SJ so far.
