  1. Broken rib maybe? Im honestly relieved I figured he had a minor heart attack like his brother a few years back.

  2. Gonna miss a game bc ONE lung is injured? Where’s the grit and tenacity?! /s

Hope this is nothing major, get well soon TJ

  3. holy shit

I hope that man’s alright, and I’ll be sure to send a strongly worded email towards Perna

  4. Could be something like a pulmonary embolism, hopefully not as that would keep him out for the rest of the season. But the fact they specifically state the lung concerns me. Hoping for the best for TJ.

  5. hopefully he is ok, but if he is cleared to play he needs all the rest for Detroit and penei Sewell.

  6. Steelers star players with a 2-letter acronym first name are having a tough time lately.

Metcalf seems to be fine, hopefully for TJ this is just out of an abundance of caution and isn’t anything too serious.

  7. Prayers for him what the hell is going on first DK after the Baltimore game and now TJ

  8. Dang first dk with stomach isssues now tj with respiratory issues. Pack ya own food and drinks when in Baltimore

  9. An ESPN alert put around 1:00 EST said the injury “ occurred during treatment at the team facility”. Now what does that mean?

  10. We all know Injuries R Big Part of the GAME! But Jesus H Christ, it sure seemed like the steelers get there Fare Share & MORE every MOFO year..
    My Prayers R with U TJ🙏

  11. Pulmonary embolism, pneumothorax, rib fracture, or pulmonary contusion would be my presumption in an otherwise healthy athlete that needs to go to the hospital.

  12. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about TJ. this year. Should have been traded. Didn’t deserve that contract. Is in decline.

Might miss a game and suddenly he’s good again!

  13. Latest Update Per Schef – T.J. Watt’s lung injury occurred during treatment at the team facility Wednesday. Watt has been hospitalized since then

    Possible Tyrod Taylor-Chargers type incident.

  14. This is what happens when you switch to a Highmark health plan that costs twelve bucks a month and offers the same level of doctor coverage as a decorative napkin with words get well soon on it.

  15. With absolutely no knowledge other than it happening during treatment, my best guess as an ER doc is a pneumothorax (dropped lung) from getting an injection. Like if he was getting a rib block, clavicle, etc. Otherwise IDK what else could possibly cause a lung injury from treatment, unless he was inhaling something odd.
