Newest Orioles slugger Pete Alonso’s 5 home runs at Oriole Park at Camden Yards! πŸ’ͺ

So season high for John Means on the pitch count. Yeah. Pete Alonzo steps in 0 for two. Well, here comes the change up. Yep. It was a change up and it was not located back and that ball is fair. It is a fair ball. Pete Alonzo a towering shot way back and left. The only question was would it stay fair and it did and the Mets had another run to go up 4-2. Well, Alonzo was guessing right along with John Means and everybody else 200 he said he’s going to throw me a change up and Means did and it was not located where he warned it at all and that ball landed in the second deck and that’s only the second ball I’ve ever seen hit here and landed in the second deck. There haven’t been many up there. brings up the cleanup hitter Pete Alonso sit safely in his last six games after coming off the IIL. Had a sprained right hand. Two balls, no strikes. Hammered and out of here in a hurry. Pete Alonzo number eight and the Mets jump out on top two nothing. Well, you didn’t want to go two and 0 and then you didn’t want to miss your spot. But he did. And Jim gets back to you talked about this the other day. Yeah. You you know a home run hitter hits a home run not the end of the world but the walk in front of it right is what well it is Lindor and he took it but this again he’s looking fast ball and Bruce Zimmerman he he was able to get McCann up and in. And that’s where Severino moved and that’s a tough pitch to make and he never got it close to their two nothing Mets. Alonso accounted for the Mets one. Runs with one swing of the bat. He’s got another one. Another one. Yep. Tattoo down the left field line. And that’s a fair ball. Pete Alonso second homer of the game. His ninth of the year. And it’s a 10-3 game. Well, he throws him a curveball. And of course, you’re looking for silver linings when you’re down nine or 10 to two. And now it’s 10 to three. And fast ball for a home run in the first. Waits on the hook. down and in. All you got to do is drop the bathe head and that’s what he does. Hit 53 as a rookie. He’s got a couple here. Didn’t put this one in the second tank. He’s done that. One of six Orioles, including Franco did it tonight, but a pretty good drive there. Shortest part of the ballpark down the lines. And Door really has his attention. Well, he doesn’t have a big lead, Scott. And I’ll tell you what, you worry too much about him, what’s going to happen at home play. That’s where I’d concern myself. You don’t let him get a running lead. Make him stop and get the big guy out. Not this time. Way back. Mullins at the wall. Leaps. Can’t get that one. Second straight night. Pete Alonso with a two-run homer in the first inning. Yeah. And the difference, of course, he’s got his whole cheering section. A lot of Met fans down here at Camden Yards. So now three and two nights. Now, take a look. That’s the slider we talked about. And it’s it’s not breaking. It just stays in the middle of the plate. It spins and then he just blasts it. Right pitch just talk about pitch shaping. That was bat shaping. And just like yesterday, a Lindor walk in front of it. And the Mets will bring the tying run to the plate here in the eighth. There are not many hitters you want to face less than Pete. Hung in there on breaking balls. Pretty good against off speed pitches. And he’s destroyed fast balls. And he destroys this one to right center field. Alonszo has tied the game. Two two-run home runs in the inning. And the Mets have scored four without making an out against Brian Baker. And this wild night is far from finished. It’s 66. Wow. And I tell you what the Mets did, man. They hunted the fast ball off of Brian Baker. They didn’t respect anything other than that fast ball. And Allonzo got one right there. His 21st long ball of the year. 105 off the bat. Pretty much straight away center field. That’s it. That might have been a backup slider. Oh, and that thing just hung right in the heart of the plate. Last year, Alonzo hit 144 against Sliders. He’s crushing him this year. He crushes that one to tie the game.

  1. The O's won't win the world series as it's already been scripted for Team Japan, the Dodgers to win again, but it won't be nearly as painful to follow them throughout the season.
