Easton Cowan | Pre Game vs. San Jose Sharks | December 11, 2025
new look for your line tonight? Like what’s the key to get that group going for you guys? Yeah, I just uh have a good for check, try to turn over pucks and capitalize on our chances and create a lot of chances and just feel like we have good defense tonight, it will lead to offense. Obviously, Neander’s a pretty unique guy. How much does that the dynamic change when it’s Robertson in that spot? Anyone you play with on this team are good players. So, just, you know, move the puck around, share it, support each other, and uh like I said, just I feel like if we have good defense today, it will lead to offensive chances. What will it be like to go up against Dickinson? Yeah, it’ll be cool. Uh, obviously a good player, known him for a while. Uh, it’s tough going against him in practice, so it’s going to be a, you know, challenge here tonight, but it’ll be really fun to play against him. Who had bragging rights in practice? Probably him, honestly. I mean, very good defensively and, uh, if he makes a play defensively, he’s probably going to jump in the rush cuz he’s, you know, really good hockey sense. So, just uh, yeah, play him hard and have some fun. Did you catch up with him at all yesterday? Uh, no. I think, uh, he was probably visiting his family, so I didn’t have any time, but hopefully see him after the game today. Texting at all throughout the season as this season? Uh, yeah, just a bit. Uh, you know, saying congrats to each other, obviously, making the team and stuff like that. And, uh, yeah, just, you know, you try to stay in touch with your old teammates as much as you can. Uh, what what stands out about what Celebrity is doing this season? Yeah, obviously another really good player. uh very good offensively and good defensively too. So we just got to play him hard and uh yeah try to limit his chances. What was your favorite moment being around him or memory being around him at that World? Just the competitor he is. I mean uh yeah we played there in Sweden together. Uh super super great guy. I mean very high class and uh good player. So like I said just try to limit his chances and yeah it was fun playing with him for sure. Did you see this coming? Third in the league and scoring as a sophomore. Like, did you see this coming? Yeah, I did. Uh, you could see just his habits in practice, what he does, you know, they stick out a lot. So, just how he competes every day and how he shows up to the rink, you know, it’s something you look at for sure. Young guy in the league, people talk about the rookie wall. I’m just wondering for you, what’s the key to to avoid the grind getting sucked into that this season? I think just showing up each and every day, learning, trying to get better. um you know just putting good days on good days like I’ve been saying and uh yeah just keep trying to get better and really attack each day and you know have a positive and you know wanting to get better mindset. Is there anything in particular you’re working on right now when you’re talking about getting better? Yeah, my wall work for sure. I mean if you can make good plays off the wall usually leads to offense and you know two-on-one chances. So just trying to uh be good on the offensive and defensive wall. How you finding your strength in situations? Good. Uh, you know, I’m just trying to maintain my weight and keep working out throughout the year. And, you know, we have really good staff here. So, just listening to them and putting my best foot forward.
