He also has the yipps a little bit…. I think AP had the opportunity to learn from what are some honest mistakes he made with the roster… let’s see what he does next year…. Quinn at this point is dead weight carried by Kliff and Jayden
Seems like the routes are taking a very long time to develop. Wasn’t Jayden one of the quickest release QBs last year? Why are they running exclusively three move routes that take 5 seconds to get to the break?
Against Minnesota we were completely out-schemed on both sides of the ball
Yeah kliff needs to redraw his plans they are terrible
I don’t know about ‘horrible routes’ but JD was under pressure 97% of those throws, WRs need time to actually complete their routes and the QB needs time to set to throw it to them. WTF was the O line doing?
Truth is his fast processing post snap and anticipatory throws to the faster developing concepts have regressed from last year. He’s still our guy. spending all summer with benchwarmers probably hurt more than we think.
He didn’t regress
“What kinda route can we draw up to have all the defenders close to the ball when it’s thrown. If it’s not thrown, Jayden can run.”
Didn’t seem that bad overall. The problem I see is that we had no match for their blitz. Either JD couldn’t call good protections, the OL couldn’t recognize who to pick up, the OL couldn’t physically protect well, or a combination. There were at least plenty of checkdowns open, but JD had rushers in his face immediately.
Agree….. I absolutely cannot stand….
Where a guy just runs out as a decoy with no intention of the ball coming….
Where a guys runs his route to a defender and just stops and walls off….
Lack or crossing routes at multiple levels…
Kliff just doesn’t give options at times.
Listen I keep saying I want Kliff gone and keep getting downvoted. I don’t care downvote away. I’m telling you though if he’s back next year. Expect the same outcome on offense.
Multiple known people have been talking about our separation problems with our WRs.
Kurt Warner has openly criticized Kliffs offense in college and the NFL. People need to start opening their eyes. Kliff might not be the answer at OC.
Kliff has been lacking in his play calling since the start of the season.
Terrible. Been like this for a while. Excruciating to watch.
Flores absolutely owned Kingsberry last Sunday. That was obvious watching the game.
Well, at the mid-point last season critics mentioned that Kliff’s offense would stall, but that was proven wrong. Now, my greater concern is if those critics were out of line to begin with or if there was some truth as to the sustainability and duration of Kliff’s offense. While it lasted throughout 2024, would it survive the rigors of prolonged scrutiny and defensive analysis over the stretch of 2 seasons? It might have functioned adequately through the breadth of the first season, but what about 2 seasons?
Like others, I’m beginning to suspect that Kliff’s base offense has a very limited lifespan.
His top receivers have been out most of the year, and the injuries have absolutely taken this team out of any rhythm they could have…..it’s a physical sport it’s going to happen my question is how are they going to revamp the WRs and the TEs so Jayden doesn’t have to risk life and limb
Kliff sucks. Terrible play caller.
One of my problem with Kliff is that even if something works he sees it as his gameplan working as opposed to seeing it as “Oh C-Rod has the hot hand let’s keep feeding him”
Kliffs play calling has been abysmal
It’s no secret the play calling has been dogshit this year
I always feel like Kliff’s play calls get very stationary so it seems very easy to cover. I remember thinking that in the Green Bay game also. The clip the OP showed is a great example
There were a handful of plays in there that had no separation between receivers. Guys on the same side of the formation are running hook routes and are 5 yards apart but standing directly in line vertically with one another. One defender can cover both easily.
Oh these are horrible
Kliff needs to be fired.
I was at my gate in the Austin airport and when I saw Jayden hit Terry with that ball I think I disturbed some people nearby with how happy I got lol
This is why I’m not worried about Jayden. Look at that throw to Deebo on fourth. Hardly ANYTHING there, and he made it work. Deebo just fucking dropped it. We have such a non-existent deep game, which is so frustrating considering his arm strength. Kliff got a vasectomy last week.
This is a mix of a lack of chemistry/repetition and the Vikings defensive schemes had the offense confused outside the first drive…
Lol, random internet fans criticizing “route concepts”. This is the good stuff.
