Its early to start making big claims, but Harris is absolutely killing it. It would be huge to have a top corner going into 2026 considering the situation at that position, and that we had no idea what we had a handful of weeks ago. Based on KCs massive success finding elite DBs with day 3 picks, I dont think its a fluke either – Borgonzi knows how to draft in thr backfield.

Good to know we’ll still only need to draft 3 DBs to field a complete secondary for all defensive packages. More if you want to have depth for the most injured position group in the NFL.
He’s been really impressive for a rookie let alone a 6th Rounder.
The fact that Borgonzi has hit on so many Day 3 picks is really encouraging. I really hope we get back to Pick 1 because I wanna see how good of a rookie class he could draft after getting a war chest of picks via trade down.
We’re going to need a bigger sample size, obviously, but he’s been really incredible so far. He’s a big part of the reason our CB play didn’t completely fall off a cliff when we traded McCreary.
At best, he continues playing the way he has and we can start calling him an elite player. At worst, he’s still already proven that he can hang at the NFL level, and we need all the NFL-caliber players we can get on this young roster. Whether he proves to be truly “elite” or not, he looks like a valuable piece moving forward!
If the team continues to follow the rest of the league’s trend of using 3 safeties, and Winston can keep learning the Big Nickel role, then you only really need 2 starting level corners. The team can sign Jaylen Watson to a modest 3 year deal in the offseason and the cornerback room is “solved”. Then use a mid to late draft pick on another corner and hope they can develop, too.
He’s only played about 250 snaps total and I’m guessing around half of those aren’t coverage snaps so I really wouldn’t read too much into whatever this statistic is
Guess we will see next year.
But dont get all riled up if he isnt elite and needs replacing like the rest of the roster.
