thanks for the memories Lane!
Thanks for the 2024 ALDS
Don’t get scared now
I thought we might have wanted to keep him. Not a huge move for the Royals and doesn’t hurt us much.
But we already got too many bottlenecks and platoon bats
If that is how much Lane is worth on the open market, more power to both him and the Royals. I wasn’t sure he’d get a major league contract.
Good luck to him, except when they play us.
Good for him, I’ll never forget the September/October Lane train
That’s 😃 great for Lane Thomas… not so good for KC.
Seemed like a good dude so good for him
Definitely think he was on addy for his 50/50 raffle promo if anybody else can remember that lmao
Good for him. Get that money.
Man. I really thought we’d keep him. But I really hope this means we have other options that are in serious talks with us.
thank you royals, for protecting us from ourselves! good riddance.
Good future answer to the immaculate grid. Thank you Lane especially for that series against Detroit
That’s a lot of money to pay for a broken foot
Bye
wtf we were sayin we’d be annoyed if he got a minor league deal lol
He’s going to absolutely mash against us, isn’t he…
Better anyone but us!
I’ll remember 2 hits from him. The Grand Slam against Detroit in game 5. Also the double off the wall with against the Yankees in game 3 the rally going and prolonged the inning before the Big Christmas Jack.
Hell have an 802 ops
God our owners are fuckin pieces of shit lmao
I don’t even think he’s worth this much, he’s really not, it’s that they won’t even spend this much on somebody that is.
In spite of an OF that’s essentially a big ass question mark at two positions, Lane was most likely to be the odd man out.
Cleveland’s perfect world right now is DeLauter and Valera can combine to take over both roles and make a big impact in 2026. Or they could, you know, make a deal or something but as if that’s gonna happen.
>Signs with Cleveland for two years
>Eliminates Detroit from the playoffs with a clutch elimination game grand slam in his first year
>Spends the rest of the next year injured
>Leaves Cleveland and refuses to elaborate further
Lane “Gigachad” Thomas
Damn… I wish we could’ve kept him, but that frees up room for CDL, Valera, etc.
that grand slam will live on as one of my favorite postseason memories. good luck, Lane train
Lane Thomas? More like lame Thomas
Yeah, the Guardians sure as shit wouldn’t have given him that much money.
I remember when I was so excited about that trade.
