Dallas Cowboys’ Matt Eberflus MADE ME CRASH-OUT After He Said THIS!

Dead man walking. Dead man walking. Let’s get right into it with Matt Eberloose sounding off at his presser. I think it’s been a couple of weeks since we looked at a Matt Iber presser. I think given the recent events, it’s going to be a relevant one to pay attention to. Um, let’s go ahead and get right into it. Be sure to leave a like on the video and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already, man, man. Shut your up. All right, y’all. Let’s get it. Afternoon. Um, excited to have Jadeian Clowney back on the field today. is going to be great in terms of his impact of what he’s done for our football team um over the course of the the time he’s been here. Obviously a really good run player. Does that really well um obviously the pressure player that he has, but more than that uh really just his leadership, you know, and he’s done a really great job with that. I’m excited to have him back in there. Um and then uh Rebel Rebel is going to be uh he’ll be limited today and it’s really just in-game soreness. It’s nothing big. Okay. But for him it’s going to be you know getting the reps in the walkthrough and then he’ll be out there today um in in the practice. But uh he will be that listed as that. And then uh talking about Diggs, you know, Diggs is uh went through the walkthrough. Um did a nice job there. Continues to be more consistent. That’s what we’re looking for, consistency. Um he again, he’s going through still a wrap-up period of coming back and we will see where he is just much like last week. We’ll see where he is in terms of the the uh consistency and the execution throughout the week. What is his 21-day practice window up? Didn’t they activate his window last week ahead of the Detroit Lions game? Dig’s about halfway through his window already. So, we gonna we gonna find out real soon, one way or the other, what they really thinking and what’s going on. Man, this this whole thing has been strange. Just real quick, real quick. Y’all ain’t found it strange that none of his teammates has brought him up. Nobody has spoken up on his behalf from the critics or how people have been critical of him on social media like we normally see Cowboys players do. At least one of those dudes at some point will usually stick up for a guy. Y’all haven’t noticed the lack of team support for Trarevon Diggs, like from the actual players at the player level. Y’all haven’t noticed that. Y’all don’t think that’s strange that no one is really asking any questions about Diggs or anything else like that. The reporters, it’s almost like everyone’s been issued a gag order about Trevon Diggs, especially as it tends to them asking questions to the players because why hasn’t a single reporter asked a single question to a single player about missing Trevon Diggs? Hm. Let’s keep a move like we would with any player. Um and that’s where he is. Um and then moving on to uh to Minnesota. Minnesota obviously a big challenge. You know, they got a big victory last week and uh you know, host of receivers. You know, they top three receivers are really good players. Tight ends a really good player. Um their their two backs are are really outstanding running the ball and a really good clip. Um in all personnel groups, their multiplicity is what what creates that and they do a really good job with mixing their personnels um as they go through it in the run game and give you varied looks. So that’s a that’s a challenge for us. worked on that yesterday, working on it today and then starting on third down. Um, which is going to be a big down for us. So, uh, with that open questions, Kevin Watkins, that man be trying to he be trying his best to cover all his bases before they start asking questions. It’s like he trying to he doing that so that way during the interview he’ll be able like already answered that question a little bit earlier and so now he doesn’t have to give a real in-depth answer. He can just give him a short BS answer. Keep it moving. Matt, you ain’t s slick. Justin Jefferson’s one of the top receivers in the league, but the last couple weeks his numbers have been down. you seen anything on tape there where teams are taking him out or is it something else that we’re not seeing? Yeah, I mean obviously when you have one of the best or maybe the best receiver in the league, you know, guys want to be able to do that and that’s what you’re seeing a little bit of and uh but again they’re going to be creative with moving seeing a little bit of what see don’t talk nothing like shotty. This is not bro Matt Ibra is not the correct robin for a shot. Shotty need a dude like Brian Flores. Like a dude that’s pretty much stuck at being a career defensive coordinator at this point and they’re going to do that job hella hella good. That that’s that’s that’s the type of that’s the type of coordinator he motioning getting him on the perimeter. Um that’s what they’ve done to get him the ball. Um but certainly an excellent talent. How would you assess your linebackers with Murray and and Wilson? Uh I think load yesterday said he’s still getting acclimated. He’ll be acclimated forever in in your scheme and those kind of things. Yeah, they’re both doing uh you know, learning and growing together and and doing a good job there. We’ve split time with those guys. You know, we’ve evaluated their competition and we’re going to I ain’t going to lie to you, bro. We almost what the season almost over and we still talking about guys getting acclimated that’s been here since training camp. Either these dudes are dumber than rocks or I flush your damn scheme and what you asking these boys to do ain’t making no damn sense to them. Do that and it’s important that uh you know we look at it that way. You know, we’re always evaluating the number, how they execute on the field, and what gives us the best chance in terms of the the mix, you know, who’s doing what, you know, two series, one series, two series, you know, a piece, whatever that might be rotational wise, but, uh, we’re always going to look at that what gives us the best chance to win that position. Is it hard to get acclimated quickly because Logan came in, you know, in the middle of the season? Yeah, I mean, you got a veteran player, which makes it a little bit easier playing in a, you know, a similar, you know, 4-3 type of style, uh, system. And again, we’re multiple and all those things, but, um, I think it’s easier for a veteran. Matt Thomas with you has been uh the consistency part with digs. Can you kind of what is what do you mean? Uh what enough effort? Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Push the issue. Quit letting these boys just answer base level and surface level questions, dog. Damn. It’s it’s all about just being consistent with everything, you know. It’s it’s uh for any player, right? It’s you know, I always talk to the players about being, you know, what’s important now and and that and consistent with everything with what? Because Kenneth Murray ass has been the very definition of inconsistency this year. He have a good game and have three bad games. He been consistently ass too many times. No offense, but I mean you know what your film look like, dog, but for real. Like at this point, y’all know I’m not cutting for digs, but I gota, you know, man, my my my main thing is about, man, when you’re right, you’re right. And I’m on your side when you’re right. But when you’re wrong, it’s like, “Hey man, this ain’t making sense.” You know, the I and win stands for individual responsibility. And that’s that’s what it is. Your individual responsibility for all members of the football team, you know, is to be, you know, wired in into the meetings, uh, wired in into the practice, you know, knowing your job, doing your job, asking questions, make sure it’s clear for you, and then go out there and execute all 11 all together every single play. And that’s that’s just really for everybody. And, uh, we’re evaluating that throughout the course of the week. And, uh, and like I said, who gives us the best chance to win the game. Is it still a health component with him? Uh, he’s still going through a ramp up period. you know, you take all that time off, there’s definitely a wrap-up period there. Um, and he’s going through that. And then you mentioned Clowny’s leadership. Um, how have you seen that impact guys? What does he do in terms of helping guys out? Yeah, just, you know, him him helping guys, you know, with the technique fundamentals, you know, on the side and his energy. I think that’s a big part of it, you know, really always, you always, you know, it’s not really what you say a lot of times, it’s how you play. You know, he plays with a great motor. You can see him making plays, getting off blocks, you know, straining in the run game, you know, disengaging and making plays on the other side of the field. Hey man, you saw the sack. Hey man. Hey. All right. F all these. How’s this player doing? How’s this man? Ask how do you fix what the [ __ ] we’re seeing? Bro, ask 10 of those same type of questions. The same way y’all went asked the same question over and over again when the tragedy struck. Man, we have we have been surviving through tragedy all season with this defense. Ask him over and over again in 80 different ways. How do you plan to fix the defense? How do you play fix defense? What adjustments can you make to fix the defense? Do you plan on making any changements any point in time? So, what is your adjust? So, how do you go about making adjustments during the game? Uh, ask 80 questions. Help us figure out if he know what the hell he doing. Uh, you know, versus Kansas City, those were effort sacks. um our our DBs would call them coverage sacks, but um but uh that that’s uh that that’s what you see on tape and that’s that’s real leadership there because it’s with the action. John, with the athletic uh you know you guys before the Detroit game, those three games, you know, leading up to that, you have a three-game win streak. Defense is playing great. Do you feel like you guys took a step back in Detroit? Yes. Yeah. you know, uh you got to respond uh to to uh adversity or sudden changes, you know, so that game was a certain situation where you had some short fields where you had some things where you’re on the other side and they just happen, right? And we have to do a better job, you know, of stopping them in the third down in the red zone uh when that happens and make them kick field goals and you probably see a different result. So, yes, we do have to play better and we do have to do better in those areas for sure. And then just in terms of getting the pressure on Jared Goff, was it just maybe not having Colony out there or why do you think you guys weren’t able to get any more pressure on him? Yeah, some of it was uh you know, when you look at it, uh, you know, they were chipping a lot coming out, you know, for our edges and stuff and and working the guys inside and bringing uh the center to certain people, but you know, it’s it’s really about us, you know, winning our one-on-ones and, you know, then creating pressure with pressure, you know, so again, we got to look at that. I have to look at that and do a better job of that and uh, you know, we’ll look and see where it is. Nick Harris four starts telegram as a rocker. Brian Shanheimer’s talked about how he challenged him earlier in the season to be more of a vocal leader. How’s he as a rocker? How have you seen him take that approach, you know, so he’s very mature soul and uh he does a great job with you knowing what to do, doing his job, but he’s also very talented. So the guys respect that and the guys respect also how he how he uh works. You know, he’s a real worker and uh he he works in the meetings, works in the walkthrough. He’s always working on his technique and then when he plays on the practice field, man, he goes, you know, it’s it’s it’s no other like a lot a lot of our guys do. Um, you know, point to the detackles, those guys are workers, overshowing, all those guys work their tail off and they and they go and that’s the motor we’re looking for and he certainly has that. And then back on the Detroit game, you guys blitzed quite a few times on those first two drives and not as much on fast ball, bro. And if he ain’t real old, you need to go get some Ben Gay. You’re too great cuz it’s making you old. 10. Uh, what was the credit to that? Is it just kind of the threats that they had coming out of the back field or what what was the game there? Yeah, I mean you call the game, right? You call the game the way you see fit to win the game, you know, and obviously I could could have done a better job and uh certainly I own that and uh you know, take take that. You could have done a better job. You gave up 40. I I understand that. And again, we didn’t win the game. So, I always look at all the calls, all the breakdowns, um, and where they are and why they happened. And, uh, that’s important to do that as a group, and we did that. And we’re moving on to Minnesota. Last quick one with Rebel. Um, it was a struggle for him. What was kind of the talking points to him coming out of that game to Yeah, Rebel’s a young guy. He’s a young player and he’s he’s kind of caught on. Everybody pulling the Clarence Hill now. Everybody asking three, four questions at a time. I like going to learn and I told Miss after he started, you know, playing in this first game, you’re going to learn so much every single game, right? There’s situations that are going to come up, the match ups like I talked about last week, they’re going to come up and he’s going to keep learning, keep growing. And the one thing I love about him is that is that it doesn’t shake him. You know, he’s he’s right there all the way. And uh, you know, and he does a really good job of doing that, resetting, refocusing, going on to the next play. So, he doesn’t let it bother him. Um, but again, he did some good things, too, and he continues to. Joe, Joe White, Dallas, one of you. Don Bland, obviously a live interception his career. He’s only won so far this season. How does Don get his hands on the ball more? Yeah, I think he has gotten his hands on the football a bunch. Um, we just got to go ahead and finish. you know, he’s right there. Um, you know, it’s about it’s about, you know, you’re you’re catching up. He’s not right there because you got the DBs lining up 10 yards off the ball on third and four. He not right there. He not right there. All those things. And he’s got some deflections and those types of things, but I think those things are coming. Um, the guys are really working hard to, you know, pound the rock during the week and, uh, you know, he’s had some opportunities and we just got to see, but again, he’ll get more as he goes cuz he’s he’s been close to the ball. And then JJ McCarthy, no interceptions last week with the Vikings lead the lead and interceptions thrown this year. How much of an opportunity is that? And how much an emphasis is getting takeaways this week? It ain’t going to matter. It’s every week. It’s every week. You know, it’s it’s we emphasize like JJ Montana against us. It ain’t going to matter. We going to have to outscore the Vikings. I’m letting y’all know now. Don’t expect to shut them down. The Vikings scoring 30. We going to have to have about 35 to win. Go practice, you know, every single day in the meetings. And it’s about what we do on the practice field. And I’m I’m seeing the progress, you know, in terms of the attempts. And uh we just got to stay on it as coaches and players and be mindful and intentional during practice. here. Garrett Podell, CBS Sports. Matt, you talked about competition with Kenneth Murray, Logan Wilson. Like, what specifically would one of them have to do to really separate themselves and get the majority of those reps? I mean, it comes down to the practice tape. You know, it comes down to the practice state of the execution. Um, you know, making plays on the ball, you know, cuz I’ve always said this even since, you know, when I was coaching Sean here before Sha Lee is that the linebacker’s job is to hit the ball. Um, you know, you are the point of attack. There is no backside for you, you know. So to me, bro, why are you going off on these mother effing tangents, dog? They asked you a very straightforward question, you start telling antecedos, man. If you don’t answer the damn question, why can’t y’all decide between the two of them and give us a straight answer? Don’t talk about, oh, it’s about making plays. Hit the ballah, dude. Kenneth Murray is seen red-handed on 4K several times in several games this year running away from the ball. Y’all wouldn’t trade it for Logan Wilson. It’s his turn now. It’s my turn now. That’s what Logan Wilson need to be saying. Kenneth got half of the season. He stunk it up. Let’s see what Logan Wilson got. You should be able to have, you know, 15, 16, 18 tackles in a game, you know, and you should make ball production. You should have calls fumbles, recover fumbles, interceptions. You should have all those things because you’re the middle of the defense. And so that’s what we’re looking for, you know, and those guys. So, put them in position to do that. Send these mofos up the A gap every now and then. Matt Flu are working to do that. And I’m starting to see with Overshone, I’m starting to see some of that come to light um of him hitting the ball the right way, you know, in terms of his strip attempt. You starting to see that come to light with Oh, I’m about to I am about to end this reaction early. I’m getting pissed. I planned on getting some steak later. I don’t want to be pissed eating steak. I’mma have a tummy ache. The Mar overone was doing that before your crusty ass got here. You know, his eyes getting back, footwork and all those things. But again, that’s for everybody. Did you just try to act like that? I’m out. I’m out on Matt Eber flutes. I’m out. What do you see on tape? He’s kind of bottom of the league in a lot of statistics. What do you Why do you think he’s struggling? Where do you think he’s at? I I always think it’s hard for a rookie at first um you know to come out of the box, you know, and and light it up. You don’t see that, you know, you jack wagging. The reporters are lowkey setting you up. I see the play right here. He asking you what are other teams doing on tape. That’s why he said on tape to slow JJ McCarthy down and give him difficulties. He’s trying to see if you know what the you doing. Oh, but you you see him being more comfortable. This got to be the most frustrating reaction I done on this mug. I’m actually getting pissed. We’re comfortable certainly last week and uh you know he’s growing like everybody else you know in the league and uh you can see that for sure. He didn’t say a mask.com. Excuse me. You’ve had to face Aaron Jones quite a bit over the last couple years. You know what? for the first time ever and we’re gonna have to speed this playback speed up to make myself I’m gonna have to make myself giggle during this to get through the rest of this last four minutes. Hold up. Let’s double time it. What’s made him kind of steady production wise and steady speed right next I want to go to the second thing first is his toughest. I mean he is as tough as he is. I mean he will he’s for a guy that’s not that big. He throws that’s too fast. My my ear smoke weed too. So I can’t listen that fast. Hold on. In there and he does a really good job. He’s an inside and outside runner. He can capture the edge. Um, and then he’s a threaten as and a weapon as as a receiver, you know, in the screen game, you know, in the checkdown game. He he can take it and uh he does a really good job with that, you know, and obviously his talent, you know, he’s a very talented player. Um, and uh he’s a true pro. You can certainly see that. We talk a lot about four games in 17 days. I know you only have one practice under your belt. Are you senior player? This is a Mike McCarthy coach. This is not a Brian Shottenheimimer coach. I’m going tell y’all that based off of how Shotti talk about the game, how the energy Shotty carries for the game. Energy and how this dude talk about the game. Notice when the Lions were successful, the coordinators for the Lions reflected Dan Campbell’s mentality, his attitude, and his approach to the game. Look at Aaron Glenn. Look at Ben Johnson. They’re both maniacs. Aaron Glenn bust out and did a soul train line in the middle of a Jets game, bro. On the sideline. Y’all can look that video up. Ben Johnson had his nipples showing on national TV getting hype in the locker room. They’re both maniacs like Dan Campbell. Look at Kyle Shedahan and the 49ers, bro. Robert Salah is a no BS, non nonsense type of dude like Kyle Shadahan, bro. Man, this dude is the most opposite type of coach you could possibly have paired up with Brian Shenheimer. This one, Jerry, that’s your bad, bro. No, I am not going to cap. This is your bad. You should have let Shotty pick his own DC. A little bit more energized now. They’ve had the extra couple days at the end of this week. Yeah, I was I was talking to Shotty last night and you know the thing I said to him was that I was really pleased with practice, you know, because when you have all those days of games and not much practice. Yesterday’s practice was really good in terms of energy execution. I’m almost like, hey, it may be a good thing if we end up losing one of these last four because if we do then we may actually Jerry might be like, you know what, we gonna have to have four coordinators in four years because we not moving forward with shot with this dude. He don’t he’s not a match. Just as much as Diggs is not an organizational and cultural match, this dude ain’t either. The only thing he probably matching for the culture that Shotty trying to build is the family aspect. That’s probably the only thing that he and Shotti really on the same wavelength with. For real, for real, outside of being co-workers, but come on, bro. Um, in terms of the guys doing what we’re asking them to do. So, it was really good yesterday. Ed WFAA uh another question personality man yesterday described the situation he did as far as ramp up and said he feels good he wants to play and then he said ultimately he’s got to do everything the right way what is your interpretation or explanation for a li well I mean when you say everything the right way it’s just when you know when you first come into the building right and then before then you leave the building right it’s just everything the right way so it’s just intentional meetings intentional in the practice field in other words diggs be playing too mother effing much he don’t be focused just enough for them. And they be seeing that he probably still be trying to carry on like they was doing. I ain’t going to even mention who it was, but like we used to see him and his buddy doing all the time and running around the building trying to wrestle folks and trying to pop in, you know. Hey, throughs, talk through all those things, you know, that’s that’s for everybody. That’s we’re not asking, you know, him or anybody else to do anything different. That’s what we ask of all of our players, all of our everybody that’s here. That’s what we do. So, and that’s a refer to not speaking for him, but um that’s what that’s what it is. digs would reach that point and get back on the field. Cuz you know what? At this point, y’all not even saying anything specific enough to that would make sense to us enough to be like, “Hey, this is why you’re not playing at all.” Not this is why you’re not starting. Not this is why you know you’re Leic sure. You’re not playing at all because you’re not consistently the first one at the meeting. Come on, man. We ain’t stupid, bro. There’s more insidious things at play here. remember that difference you think he could make his skill set? And remember I said that and when it comes out y’all come back to my channel like damn AOC what you be doing? Yeah I I think uh you know he could make some impact you know he really could and uh but again it’s all about you know being that consistency and doing the things right. But uh for me um anytime you have a talented player and we’re really able to utilize him as he ramps up and he shows that he’s ready to go healthwise and you know and the other things we’ve been talking about um certainly want to use those guys for sure. Couple quick more. Skyler and Patrick the AP. John mentioned the the three-game run that was pretty good and then you struggle against Detroit. How much of your messaging is, hey, let’s get back to that that three-game run. Yeah. You know, with the players, you know, I talked to him about, hey, the last four games, you know, in the run defense, you know, we’re, you know, we’re third, you know, in the league in the last four games. In third down, we’re 10th, you know, in terms of that. There’s been improvement. You know, you have seen the improvement. So instead of addressing the immense amount of negative that happened, you try to package that negative with, “Oh, but look how good this stuff was. We’re we’re getting better, guys.” No, bro. I don’t like, you know, sometimes, you know, you take a step back, right? And then you got to reset. You got to reset. But again, three and one in four games is pretty good. It’s It’s not the best and now go to the last quarter of the season. This is a Mike McCarthy special, bro. Um it’s important that we keep getting better um keep improving and we had some improvements in the last quarter, you know, so we got to do a great job with this quarter of the season. Hey f Patrick Dallas cowboys.com coming off of a promising rookie season file. He did some some good work for you three game stretch I think week four to week seven he averaged around 25 reps but this last three weeks he he’s averaging around seven. I realize you guys had Louis down in the building and did Marvin on his back. What more do you need to see from Maris Le for him to earn more reps on the defensive side? Yeah, I I think he’s doing the same. I think he’s playing really well and doing a good job. Had some good pressures last week. Um, I hate this. It really comes down to Hey, bro. I’m done. I Bro, packaging. Oh, so it’s packaging, bro. You can package these nuts in your mouth. How about them cowboys? Fire him, Jerry. Calling me, texting me, paging me, asking me. Y’all using check on me. Listen, listen, listen, listen. I’m still in motion of abortion. Hey, I’m still boys.

Dallas Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Matt Eberflus just made me crash-out after he gave one of the most frustrating pressers I’ve heard all season long.

  1. It’s amazing how some of yall are already saying the main thing I said in this video towards the end. Eberflus does not match Schotty in ANY way outside of being big on family. We all see the same thing

  2. FLUS does a great job of saying absolutely nothing of substance. He doesn't seem like he knows the players just their names. I need someone to testify to how he is in the building.

  3. ngl he fixed that lining up 10 yds away from the ball , i feel like you gotta know who’s getting the ball certain plays , if gibbs line up as a WR y u don’t got 6 eyes on that boii

  4. Defense wins championships, so keeping Flus would be very concerning to me unless he changes his scheme up, which I don't see happening.

  5. Why do our corners play 10 yards off the receiver…then back pedal after the snap? If i was a receiver, I'd run 8 yards and stop. First down…all the way down the field. I understood you don't want anyone behind the safeties, but damn!!! You can't play scared!!!

  6. Cowboy nation, we know way too much about football to believe. We going to win with this coach is no way!!!!!! He doesn't make sense and neither does his defense!!!

  7. This mofo is a complete disaster.u got mofos that have been on this team since training camp still struggling to even play…the defense coordinator is the reason this team will be goin fishing.this game got me worried.

  8. I think Eberflus is trying to live of his laurels. Get in THA FACKIN GAME !! EVERY WEEK! DONT DO WHAT MCCARTHY DID or you'll look just as weak .. take what you have EACH WEEEK! N MAKE A FORMAT FOR YOUR OPPONENT. NO COOKIE CUTTER BS!!
