Blues vs. Predators | NHL Highlights | December 11, 2025

Juicy Sorrowos and team Finland are closely
associated. Bennington trying to recapture the magic he had in the four nations when Canada won
the tournament. Here we go. Underway. Big Colton Pereo dumps it in. Soros will handle it for the
first time. Soros is 4- one in his last five starts. Top line out there for St. Louis. We told
you about them. Always be aware of what’s going on at the beginning of a game. Nashville has been
falling behind early. This time, Luke Evangelista comes into the offensive zone. stopped on the
dive. Defender wipes out. Evangelista gets it back and he gets it over to Steven Stamos. Stamos
O’Reilly. Evangelista wears the puck. Bennington thinks he’s got it. It clanked off the side
of the cage. Landenburgg doing everything at Stashney taking his game to the next level. First
touch for Reed Schaer. He sends it out to Nick Pervix who blasts away. Bennington somehow was
able to reach the pass game. He steals another puck. Working to the shot. Schaer got flipped.
Here’s another loop. Schaer back in the play. Powers his way and he ran into the goalie. Kyle
moves it to the interior. Gets it back. New suit played for several teams and a good play to the
middle. Holloway stopped point blank by Sars. St. Louis has had a solid power play. 14th in the
league just under 20%. Sooner tries to send it across. Deflected by Pervis. The race on the other
side. Brady Shay down there. Out to the point. Cam fouls to the middle man wide open in the shot.
Quick play save again by Sorrowos. Two big stops against the Colorado Avalanche. And he continues
where he left off. Look at that. Look how far out he is. He’s number 89. Dorski to the corner.
Bruce Davis approaches. Nice feet. Open man. Another save for Sorrow. Nick Hey on this shift.
You’ll see different combinations with the seven defensive top of the circle. Sudter approaches.
Shoots. Another save. Sorrows and the rebound collected by the Predators. Period. First period,
they they played well, but period two and three, they they kind of got beat up in their own
building and they were managed to tie the game at two. Here’s another feed to the slot.
Good defense there by Sketchoff. And now numbers for the Pers on a two-on-one with Stanco.
Back to Stanco. Save and the rebound. Score. Steven Stamos continues to play his best
hockey of the year and he’s given Nashville a one- nothing lead. Stamos, he’s got the
dog in him now. But what impresses me is watch when he gives it to Matt Wood right
here. The poise Matt Wood 20 years old. He sets it this whole time. He’s looking.
He’s looking. He’s got Broberg. Waits for the stick to go down. Gets it through.
Stamos one shot. Bats it out of the air right through the legs of Bennington.
What a goal. Back come the Blues for into the corner. Taken by Thomas wide open
again. Another save for Sorrows. Rebound blocked. Nashville giving up a lot of heat right between
the circles. Blues have carried the play. Thomas ever dangerous. Out to the point straight away
Fowler. That one off the glove and right to Shay. He’ll try to loop it. He sees Forsber down there.
Nice catch there by Evangelisa. He’ll drop it off. for right back and forth but back to O’Reilly and
then at least they got a shine away. Bennington with the save. What a what a turnaround for
him. And you know Bruno’s always talked about he’s a lot more comfortable playing with
the younger guys a little further down the lineup. Younger player seems to be taking
off. Now Wood comes out of the corner using the reach. He finds Pervvis. Pervvis didn’t look
like he’s ready for it. Yosi rebound score. Number two on the night. Steven Stanos getting to
the slot. Two nothing Predators. Stammer. But look at Wood again. Look at him use his size. Get to
the net. Good play by Pervix and Yosi to the net. Stamco right in front of the net. I’m telling you
right now, his game, he’s evolved in that. He’s getting to the interior. He’s trying to get some
screens, get those rebounds, and look at him right in front of the net in coverage, trying to get a
screen. Good turn by him. But I think what that unit does is they move the puck. They’re either
moving their feet or the puck’s moving. There’s always movement on there. The other unit seems to
be a little more stationary. Yosi floats one down the middle. Rebound Evangelista. Save by Bington,
the rookie out of the corner. Robera slides over and he will probe into the corner. Nassie. Oh, a
quick move. They score the puck bounced right to the open man, Hugh McGee. And McGee is able to
pick up his first NHL goal. So they’ll grab the puck for him. So they had a tough first period.
dash two. So, they’re looking to to make amends. And good little play here by Broberg. Nice little
tip out there. And then McGang just puts it far side. Broberg and I think it’s Fabry right here.
Just tips that puck. Nice play by Fabri and McGang far side. That’s a great shot on his off side
there. Left hand shot. That’s not easy to put out there. Got a lot of lot of wood on that one.
And Blue’s within one. Western Michigan product. his talk about puck luck, but that’s how you
track it. PDIO is a way to track puck locks to Yosph snapping the puck around. O’Reilly trying
to get loose evangelis back to O’Reilly score. The con slice winner for the Blues in 2019
scores against his former teammate and the factor is playing great hockey. And this is
just a great job of just keeping the play alive, holding on to that puck, keeping possession.
Look at the puck movement. The ability to win those battles and and just keep the play
alive. And look at that pass. Evangelisa makes it look like he’s going to the net.
Takes Thomas with him which opens up that lane to O’Reilly. And then he just gets it
through. I think Bennington was screened by his own player there. Got the Predators in the
scramble. Give and go. Protecting the house for O’Reilly trying to get it out and it’s lifted
out by Shay. A chance for Evangelista. He grabs that puck. Great feet for Oh my goodness.
What did he just do? Phil, a sorcery move. The look on his face, he means business. And this goal. What an effort here. Tracking
the puck down. The bouncing puck. Gets it over to Forsber. Look at the lift. Bennington
goes with Forsber on the body. Pulls it to the forehand. Lifts that puck under the bar. Look
at that hard deep move there. Pulls that puck around to the forehand. Under the bar. What
a goal. Another great feed from Evangelisa. He is racking up the assist. He leads the team.
That’s 18. And we’re talking primary assist now. Stamp goes back to work. That goes. It’s tip
ho. And if it’s Stampos, it’s hat-tick time. Indeed. Here come the Liz. His
15th hattick of his career. Watch this. Look at Stamco in the corner. Puck
protection. I think it took a minute because it ends up going off Justin Faulk. He was looking for
Matt Wood back door and he laughs right there cuz goes all folk skate. No chance for Bennington on
that one. And I think it took the fans a minute to recognize that it was Stanos that got this
goal, but great power move by him in the corner. drives to the middle of the ice and he just wasn’t
involved a whole lot in the first several games, but he has really adapted and found his game.
Nashville attacking again. Bington with the save. Rebound crashing in was blanket burns
still with the pressure on. Great back door feed. Maras got the stick. Neighbors for
Brober. Desperate attack for the Blues. Brober to the middle. Turnaround shot. Score. It
might have been tipped in front and that top line answers back for the Blues. They want to stick
around. Good job on the back door as well. But this is the aftermath. The Blues able to keep
that puck alive. And Goldberg again gets that puck through to Robert Thomas. That’s a good
bet there. And Thomas just quick release. Just straightens up. Watch him turn here. Right
there. Get an angle on the net right through Pervix and under the arm of Jussi Sorrows.
And Robert Thomas scored. He scored the only two goals I got. A lot of that’s confidence. When
you’re going through a tough time, it’s tough to really feel good about anything you’re doing.
But when you’re feeling good like Stamco with his abilities and skill set, seen a different
player. Josie still creating rebound score. Goal number four. Stamps had an enormous night. His second four goal
game. Well, Willie, I was kidding that he might get to 600 tonight, but what’s he doing here? Look
at Stamos. Look where he is, though. He’s in front of the net again. We talked about the evolution of
his game this season and how he’s adapted to the way the Predators are playing and Yosi no look to
the net. There’s a high tip. They’ve done a really good job of two layers of traffic. I think Matthew
Woods going to get an assist on a Lion’s Den in Denver. So, you got to keep pushing forward
here. Here comes Spencer Styley blasting his way in challenging Herford. First shot for Joel
Holford who’s been sitting here for two periods. He’s able to get the glove. He’s a big goalender.
Again, they’re they’re looking for the answer in net this season. They play that power play unit.
That’s the end goal. And that’s that’s the next level here for this team. That power play with
the confidence and the swag of their wonder about all these next level. How could it go? Can
they change the score? Evangelisa back door. Evangelisa is dealing. Well, look at the
pass by Blankenberg. Watch Evangelista. He’s not leaning forward. This is back
door and he disguises this pass. He’s waiting. He’s watching Bunting’s rope to
the net and then he just flicks the wrist, fires that pass and Bunting down on one knee that
helps him get the elevation. Just two years ago, his final year with the Lightning 2023
and Nashville breaks out short-handed. Here comes Erica right up the middle. Erica
knocked there by that one ripped by Mayu. Another save for Sorrowos. So Sorrowos puts
the final punctuation on 72 masterpiece.

  1. Wow – my Blue Ballers have ROLLED into 'soft' dough in front of both nets as our Captain Schenner said. Guess we won't get 'heated hard' until late January when we make our annual push! Merry X-mas and Happy New Year everybody… wake me up in mid/late Jan!
