Raiders Caleb Rogers GOES VIRAL on Social Media + Joe Burrow?

So, the Las Vegas Raiders have this rookie offensive lineman named Caleb Rogers. This guy’s going viral on social media. This guy has essentially come in over the last two weeks, and the guy’s played really, really, really well. He played 17 snaps last week and in this most recent game, he played every single snap against the Denver Broncos, and the guy had a really good game. And you know what’s crazy about Caleb Rogers coming in and having this game is I’m not really surprised that he’s having success. Uh, but he is going viral on social media and and the reason why he’s going viral is because he was asked about something specific. If you guys don’t know this, Pro Football Focus gave Caleb Rogers one of the highest grades this past week. They say this guy gave up no hits, no sacks on the quarterback and he gave up no hurries or or pressures generally speaking. And he was asked about this, right? Like what are your thoughts Caleb Rogers? Your first full game. You’re graded really high. You’ve gave up no pressure scoring in PFM. this guy, you know, he kind of took some shots at PFF in basically an indirect way. Uh, but I love some of what we’re hearing from this guy. I want you guys to check this out and then we’ll talk about this on the other side. Is not my standard for my success. Uh, and they’re lying. Go watch the game. Zero sacks, zero pressures. That’s not true. The sack we gave up in the back of the end zone, uh, I mean, we all got muddled up, whatever. We didn’t throw the ball, but my guy made that tackle. So, y’all y’all can give that to me. And then like I said, uh I had one I got beat early, beat across space. Effort made up for it. Uh I was able to block the guy, but Gino, uh ended up flushing through the middle of the pocket. Uh next down, second and six, so it was a gain. But I mean, I’m not going to allow PFF to, you know, define my success. I’m like, okay, PF says I’m doing good. Like, perfect. We all We don’t care about PFF. We don’t look at PFF. Uh my mom sure does. So, it’s cool for her. Um, but at the end and it’s cool for my wife, you know, it’s cool for me if I I guess if I wanted to try and look into it. Um, but I mean, just really trying to stay away from that stuff, not allowing that to fuel me and and say PFF did a good job, so I did a good job. What’s been I need to just allow myself to do that myself and move on. So, he’s saying PFF is not my standard. He’s saying it is not what I look at for success. Now, he says PFF is lying about the sacks and quarterback hits and pressures, but PFF actually is not lying. Caleb Rogers is wrong in this situation. Um, only because PFF measures things differently, right? Caleb Bers is saying, “Hey, my guy went and and tackled the quarterback, so that’s a sack on me.” But PFF is going to say, “Hey, well, the left tackle is the guy that lost. The left tackles guy is the guy that blew the entire play up. He’s the guy that grabbed onto the quarterback.” and the quarterback may have slipped away from the left tackle’s guy and your guy may have cleaned it up, but the sack is not on you that’s on the left tackle. And I agree with the way PFF does it. I think that’s the right way to measure this. But that’s not the point of this entire thing, right? The fact that Caleb Rogers is taking accountability for things that aren’t even really his fault. You know, truth be told, the guy’s tape was really good this past week, and that doesn’t mean he had no losing reps. Um, there were three or four snaps that I counted from watching the 50 plus snaps he played that he lost, but generally speaking, second ever game for this guy. First full game in which he played every single snap. And Caleb Rogers looks really, really, really good. This guy’s a natural leader. And uh, this isn’t based off of what he said in that in that interview that he was kind of asked or the question he was asked. Him being a leader is stuff that he’s done over the course of this game or over the course of this season. is based off of some of what I’ve heard about him. I’m not surprised that this guy’s having the success that he’s having. He was solid in college, had a pretty good preseason. He looks pretty good, and it’s still early on. We’ll see how he continues to develop. But Caleb Rogers to me, man, looks like he may end up being one of the team leaders for the Raiders as we go forward. I love what we’re hearing from this guy. And you know only makes it that much better the fact that he actually looked good on tape and he’s having success. You can tell this guy’s a former tackle on tape based off of how good he is in pass pro. The guy had some reps that were really impressive against some really good defensive linemen. The guy was just flat out very very very solid all around and I’m excited to continue to see this guy develop as he continues to go forward. Uh, and again, you know, some people will say he’s taking shot at at PFF and talks about how his mom will will, you know, look at PFF and his wife potentially. Um, but I love some of what we’re hearing from Caleb Rogers. Hopefully the Raiders don’t pull this guy as Jordan Meredith gets fully healthy and is able to kind of come back. Hopefully the Raiders just let this guy play the rest of the season. Another thing to kind of throw out there, Caleb Rogers looks good right now, and that’s without having real NFL coaching from the offensive line coach. this guy’s offensive line coach is not good, right? Brandon Carroll is not a good offensive line coach and yet this guy’s still having success out there. And it just kind of goes to show that sometimes, you know, although the offensive line coach does matter because, you know, when it comes to like specific run concepts, he’s going to teach you like things to look for and the steps to take, the angles, the the handwork and all those type of things. uh when it comes to pass pro and the protection scheme specifically O line coach you know helps kind of implement those things. So mentally the O line coach is responsible for you know kind of developing those guys in that instance but at the end of the day you know when when uh when Chris Jones lines up in the three technique and you’re that guard and you have Chris Jones across from you know your coach telling you what to that’s not going to help you. You got to get get out there and beat that guy’s ass. When Zack Allen is lined up across from you, one of the best D tackles in the NFL, you have to block him one-on-one. And Caleb Rogers in those moments looked really, really, really good. I am excited to see what this guy continues to develop into. And keep in mind, going into this off season, the Raiders have one less offensive lineman from at least what it looks like right now, it’s one less offensive linement to worry about. Dylan Parm is going to become a free agent. From what I’ve heard, he’s going to be one of the higher paid free agents for this draft or for this uh free agency period given that, you know, the draft wasn’t great uh that Pawn came out of. So, the guys, you know, four years bad to become free agents. It’s not great. Doesn’t look like a great free agency class, but there are some good good guards kind of coming out. So, we’ll see what the Raiders kind of do as the draft continues, but Caleb Rogers is probably going to be locked in to start at right guard for the Raiders as we go forward. Now, there are a couple other things that I want to get into. Uh Colton Miller has officially returned for the Las Vegas Raiders. He is practicing and you know I I have mixed feelings about this because on one end I want Colton Miller to be fully healthy and you know the guy started this season off having the best season and it’s not just like statistically right. I don’t really care about the stats but like on tape this guy looked incredible. Like he was dominant pass blocking, run blocking. Court Miller looked phenomenal. And again, this was the best Miller has looked in the entirety of his career. And it’s unfortunate that he ended up getting hurt because if you guys remember, just kind of going back, he was hurt for like two or three straight seasons. You know, he decided not to get surgery that first time he got hurt. I believe it was his shoulder. He decided not to have that surgery. Came in the following year. The shoulder still kind of bothered him. Missed games at the end of the season, and then finally had the surgery. Did not have an entire off seasonason. So, three years of Colt Miller’s in the last three years specifically kind of got impacted because he was not able to really have that off seasonason. Uh, this past offseason was the first time he got that. And keep in mind, the injury started back in like 2021, 2022. So, it’s been a while since Colt Miller’s not been fully healthy. Uh, this past offseason, he got a full off season to work, train, get better. He put a lot of effort into it. And it is unfortunate because the, you know, the high ankle injury that he ended up having, you can’t control that, right? It was, I think, the second to last play of that game. Uh, someone falls right into his ankle. Just like that, he’s he’s out, right? And I believe he was carded off the field. Um, you can’t control those type of things, right? Joe Law kind of had the same injury end up happening twice. Someone hit the ankle and eventually knocked him out. Um, but I am excited to watch Court Miller kind of come back to see how this guy looks as we finish this season. Also, keep in mind Gino Smith is not back at practice, which means Kenny Picket is likely going to start for the Raiders. As Ian Raport reported yesterday, Ryan McFaden says the Raiders quarterback Gino Smith right shoulder/back is not pro is not practicing for the second straight day. There’s a real chance we’re going to get Kenny Picket back. And again, as we go forward, I think is very important for the Raiders is can he pick at the future? He’s probably not, but we need those answers before the season ends. And again, hopefully at some point soon, even Caleb Rogers, I’m sorry, even Charles Grant is able to kind of come in and and play. And that would also answer some more questions for the Raiders. We should theoretically have a boost on the offensive line coming up in this Eagles game. Now, it’s obviously going to be a difficult game. The Eagles are a good good team. good defense, a pretty good defensive line, and uh again, it’s not going to be an easy game for the Raiders. But again, if Kenny Pickicket’s the future or if he has any sort of potential, we need to know if there’s any sort of Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnoldist, you know, uh in that that player and Kenny Picket, we need to find those things out. Um so, Gino Smith is likely out. Now, I should also just throw this out there. Gino Smith actually has an injury guaranteed in his contract, which some people have talked about recently. Uh, and it is true he does have an injury guaranteed, but I don’t think that injury is the same as kind of, hey, you know, Gino Smith just missed the last three or four games. Gino Smith’s not, you know, he doesn’t have to get like surgery and he’s not going to be out for the season or anything like that. Uh, but some people do think and and keep in mind sometimes language can be tricky. You know, players will take teams to court, right? Or or at least to the NFL. uh I forget what it is, but like the NFL internal, you know, the way they settle things and uh if that happens, you know, there’s a chance Gino Smith fights the Raiders for that for for that extra money, right? That injury guarantee. So, if the Raiders cut Gino Smith at the end of this season, we save $8 million going into next season. Now, we lose 16 million, but we still save 8 million. And if the Raiders end up uh if Jill Smith ends up saying, “Hey, I I was hurt. I needed to get offse offseason surgery. the Raiders release me. Well, I need my injury guarantee, which means that 8 million we would save technically goes to Gino Smith and we won’t save that money at that point. So, there is, you know, a little bit of this kind of happening behind the scenes. We’ll see what that leads to. If Gino Smith does come back at that point, you know, you can make the argument he doesn’t need the surgery and he’s healthy and he’s good. And if the Raiders release him at that point, we’ll save that $8 million. Let’s wrap it up, man. Just kind of talking about quarterbacks. Now, obviously, we don’t know if Kenny Pickicket’s the future. I do want to find out if he is. But some people are actually saying something really interesting about Joe Burrow. If you guys have not seen this, I’m gonna let you guys listen to this presser, but some people are saying this presser kind of confirms that Joe Burrow no longer wants to be with the Bengals or, you know, he’s almost talking about the Bengals as in like I don’t have the love to kind of stay with the Bengals. And some people are saying some teams should be reaching out to the Cincinnati Bengals to see if Joe Burrow is is potentially tradable if Joe Burrow potentially wants out. I want you guys to listen into this. You know, I don’t 100% buy into this, but I want you guys to listen into this and we’re going to talk about this on the other side. Um, no, it certainly doesn’t change my desire to to win. Uh, you know, if I want to if I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it. Uh, you know, I’ve been through a lot and if it’s not fun, then what am I doing it for? Uh, so that’s the mindset I’m trying to bring to the table. How much fun are you having right now? Is it difficult to have fun given the season, what you’ve been through physically, emotionally, all of it? Is it tough? Yeah, certainly. Did you have fun playing for the I mean, how much of it was fun before? Winning is always fun, but in general, was it as fun before you got hurt? Did you view it that way? At least No, I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t say I viewed it that way. I think um what was the changing point? Changing point? I’m not sure. I’m not sure. There was a a singular moment or t of time. It’s just uh reflection reflection on a lot of things that I’ve done and been through in my career. I think I’ve been through more than most and um certainly not easy on the the brain or the body. So uh just trying to have fun doing it again. you talked seem you seem like there’s something on your mind or maybe I’m reading too much into it but seemed frustrating. Um there’s just a lot of things going on right now. A lot of things going on right now. Football related personally all the above. What did you? So there you guys have what Joe Burrow said and usually I would say you know whatever you he probably practiced probably you know was tired or whatever and you know it’s not a big deal but then there’s this other element to it which is Adam Shfter and I apologize cuz the video is super super grainy for some reason. And I don’t know why Adam Sheper posted it this way, but uh he actually posted this and I want you guys now to listen to what Adam Sheper had to say regarding Joe Burrow in those comments. In a crazy week where Philip Rivers came out of retirement and Cherom Moore got fired, I thought the most intriguing comments I heard from anybody were Joe Burrow on Wednesday in Cincinnati talking about the fun he’s having or not having and his future there. Basically, I could tell you this, other teams in the league took notice of that. I could tell you that for a fact. I know that because I was texting with some of them. Andrew Luck when he retired had played 86 NFL games and been sacked 174 times. 86 games 174 sacks. Joe Burrow has played 13 fewer games, 73. And been sacked 203 times. So, he’s played 13 fewer games and been sacked 29 more times than Andrew Luck was. And he sounded like a guy on Wednesday who was deeply reflective, contemplative, and thoughtful about how he wanted his future to proceed. Those were alarming words. Those were alarming words. That got the attention of a lot of people. I can tell you that right now. And that’ll be something to pay attention. Now, maybe it’s just the end of the season. But in many ways, the organization has failed him. Defense has not held up its end of the bargain. The offensive line has not protected him. And yes, he wanted the wide receivers. He had to pay the wide receivers. And therefore, you can’t pay every But you know what? In his words, there are a lot of things going on right now. That’s what he said. Now, I don’t know if he’s referring to his personal life or just football in general, but a lot of things going on. If I were his employer and I was somebody that wanted to keep him in the or that would have my attention and I would make sure that I’m getting with Joe Bar to make sure that while there are a lot of things going on, we’ve got a lot of solutions to try to help you through this. So there you guys have it, right? Uh, basically Adam Schaer is saying, you know, he’s kind of comparing it to Andrew Luck and the Andrew Luck situation that’s kind of happened and people are now saying there’s a chance Joe Burrow either just straight up retires, maybe he’s not having fun, maybe he doesn’t love the game of football, or on the other side of it, there’s a chance Joe Burrow forces his way out of Cincinnati. You know, this wouldn’t be the first time a quarterback has said, “Hey, I want out of, you know, organization X or Y or whatever, and I want to be moved.” And you know, sometimes it’s not even just about the fact that, you know, he’s he’s highly paid or whatever, he wants more money. Sometimes it’s about the organization you’re with. Look, the Cincinnati Bengals are one of the worst organizations in in terms of team building. And I don’t know their general manager, and I don’t know how long he’s been there, but I could tell you guys right now, the Cincinnati Bengals have not built the right way. They have not drafted well, right? The Cincinnati Bengals have kind of sucked at drafting. They’ve kind of sucked at, you know, putting together a good roster. Kind of like the Raiders. I don’t think the Raiders probably get get a guy like Joe Burrow. But, you know, Burrow could easily say, “Hey, I I I don’t want to be with the Bengals, and maybe I want to be with the Rams. I want to go pair up and win some championships over there. That’s a good organization. That’s a good team.” And I, you know, I bring this up because maybe the Raiders do have an opportunity at Joe Burrow. Maybe, you know, Joe Burl does want out. Maybe he feels like an and and I understand he has Jamar Chase to throw the football to. He has T. Hagens th to throw the football to, but again, the guy’s been sacked over 200 times in his NFL career. The guy has been he’s basically played four games. The guy’s already been sacked like 12 times this season, which is ridiculous, right? Uh, and again it’s, you know, the fact that the offensive line sucks and it sucked for a while and they’re not putting those investments in to make it better and the investments they do make, right? I think they drafted Amarius Mims last year like in the first round or the second round. You know, he’s not a good football player, right? Or at least he wasn’t at that point. It’s one of those things where there’s a chance the Bengals may be willing to move off of Joe Burrow. Vice versa, bro doesn’t want to be with the Bengals. And if that’s the case, if I’m the Raiders, I definitely would consider it. But I’m also I’m also not 100% sold on saying, “Hey, we need to get Joe Burrow and bring him in.” You know, at the end of the day, the Bengals are also a pretty wellrun offense, right? And and they suck on defense. Their offensive line’s not that good. But Joe Flacco came in, he threw 13 touchdowns to four interceptions. And again, I you know, I get it. He’s 40 years old. He’s not Joe Burl. You know, I understand that, but like you can still find success with other quarterbacks for the Cincinnati Bengals, which also makes you feel like is Joe Burrow that good of a quarterback? I don’t know, right? And he’s also kind of had some injury issues from the Raiders and you get a top three pick. Does it make sense to trade that for Joe Burrow or get your own quarterback of the future? I think it’d make sense to get your own quarterback of the future. We’ll see what ends up happening. I mentioned this yesterday. John Splat does like veteran quarterbacks and I’m confident in that. So, we’ll see, man. We’ll see what ends up happening. But, uh, I don’t buy too much into these comments, but I did want to just kind of talk about it because there’s not a whole lot to talk about anyways. But, let me know what you guys think, man. Thumbs up, subscribe, and I will see you guys next time with another

  1. If all our players pan out from rounds 5 or greater next year with better coaching, we will confirm our GM is legit. But we will need to wait until next year when Non-comPETE is fired!

  2. I love Joe Burrow but the Raiders need to get young blood in the 1st round when it comes to the QB position and start rebuilding… Simple

  3. We are not getting joe burrow no one wants to play in vegas cause the atmosphere sucks its never a home game . The coaching staff is cheeks and not the ones on your face . Its frustrating . Joe Burrow is tired of getting beat up that the Raiders go online and protect him lol do you think Joes leaving the bengals with two wide receiver 1.? Heeeeckk naaa

  4. The Bangels beat reporters clearly aren’t running on a script if they are coming at Barrow that way. Shows even more how much of biatch Geno and Pete are

  5. Joe Burrow wouldn't want to come to the Raiders. Draft a QB and O linemen. We'll have a lot of cap space. Spend wisely on CB's, LB's and the D line. Go Raiders! Just Win Baby! 🏴‍☠️☠️🏴‍☠️☠️🏴‍☠️☠️

  6. If Carroll plays Miller or JPJ these last few games it only confirms his incompetence and dissolution of his capabilities and reality of today and all his shit ass poor decisions #Nepotism

  7. Saving 8m if we cut Geno. On the hook for 16m. Draft a QB when we get the 1st overall pick, let Geno start and take all those hits while Mendoza sits on the bench and learns the new coaches system.

  8. dont get over hyped with the end of game TD ..lets see pickett do it but honestly I wouldnt mind drafting Mendoza.. This dude looks like he will be a winner in the nfl as his acc. & low turnover is what I love about him …great young guy.
Why do you JOE WOULD WANT TO COME HERE? MY RAIDERS SUCK & IF THIS WAS THE MID 80's I would agree he would like the Raiders .. IN LA ALWAYS HAD GREAT PLAYERS NOT MARC WILSON tho.. no WE NEED TO DRAFT A QB EVERY YR UNTIL WE FIND ONE…

  9. I said it when he signed that huge contract. You can’t use all that Cap space and complain you don’t have protection. His money will do him no good when he is getting sacked over 200 times! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  10. Caleb's performance is further proof that Breenan Carroll is an idiot, never should have moved JPJ from center to RG and does not have the capability to assess O line player talent AT ALL.

  11. Burrow on the Browns would instantly make them a playoff team. They have the pieces. They just need a veteran QB who’s in his prime. Sanders can sit and learn/develop behind him as an extra benefit.
