I just feel so much more confident with the bus in net
I am just enjoying the ride. I don’t want to heap any major expectations on him, but I did recently learn that the team has been watching him develop.
Look. I’m a PK girlie all day. But after the way Brandon Bussi played tonight, I want a jersey. God I love goalies!!
Koochie won 10-11 straight in December a couple years ago. Freddie has won so many games for us the last few years.
Bussi is the number 1 right now absolutely.
But pump the fucking hype train brakes.
Hmm. Maybe. He’s been outstanding thus far. He got a good win against a hot opponent tonight. Let’s see how this season plays out. I understand the excitement to crown him heir apparent but let’s be honest, this rate is not a sustainable one, in other words he’s going to have stretches where he is not 10-1.
We will need to see how he performs after some real adversity. We will need to see how he performs after other teams have significant tape on him. All of that is to say, excitement is warranted, but let’s not let expectations defy reality.
I’d love to be wrong but goalies really can have fantastic stretches and never reach that level again. I’m liking what I’m seeing but I’m cautious about naming him the guy for the future
