Some of us called it on draft night, and you downvoted us for it.
He sucks.
I understand not taking Carter especially after the Ruggs situation, but there was Darnell Wright and Christian Gonzalez right there.

He played pretty well Sunday, albeit in limited play. He’s only 25 years old. One of those guys, if we let him walk, he will be good on his next team. Also keep in mind that the way this defense plays and how we’re always losing, it’s hard to get sacks. Very limited opportunities.
No surprise he’s mostly sucked. He might eventually pan to be a decent starter. If the money is reasonable I’d keep him if we thought there was enough potential. Just don’t know now if there is enough.

Tbf, he was one of the consensus top 5 blue chip players coming out of college. The injury was obviously worse then they let on. If he didn’t declare that year, his stock would’ve bombed as the injury would’ve been more obvious the next college season. We were just dumb enough to think that he’d be back to 100% in no time. Also the three of four different coaching regimes in consecutive years wouldn’t help haha
He’s gonna go to the Eagles for peanuts and rack up 10+ sacks as a secondary edge rusher for years.
Raiders tradition says he’ll eventually get picked up by some team like the Packers or Lions and be a nice player.

I’m gonna slightly disagree. No he hasn’t lived up to his draft stock but he’s been a solid contributor. He’s never gonna be a top DL but I think he’s gonna end up having a decent career; I could see him being like Shelby harris, bouncing around but being consistent at what they ask him to do

God, as a Texas Tech grad that saw Crabtree and Mahomes, I was so excited when they drafted Wilson. He’s been nothing but underwhelming unfortunately.
I will admit I knew Christian Gonzales was the better pick at the time.

Gotta quit picking DE in 1st round, they never pan out. Maxx was a 4th rounder. We need someone just half as good as him on other side so he can put up some sack #’s!
Gonzalez was the fcukin pick. Nothing else should’ve been the pick except Gonzalez. He was literally the plug and forget type of pick.
Not sure why we wanted another edge when we had Crosby and we either needed a partner on the inside or help in the secondary to give Crosby time.
It would be easier to post the guys on this squad that don’t suck, unfortunately.
