Tomlin gives a little update on T.J after today’s practice and his chance of playing

  1. Tomlin not having the specifics seems like a good sign. Not necessarily that he’ll go on Monday but it doesn’t sound as serious as initial reports made it seem.

  2. I hope I’m wrong but Tomlin being nondescript and Highsmith saying it’s scare makes me a little worried.

Alex Highsmith says he’s been in touch with T.J. Watt, talking with him throughout yesterday and today:

[“It’s definitely a scary situation, tough situation. I’ve just been praying for him. I know he’s getting better](https://x.com/i/status/1999210124599005330)

  3. Everyone who speculated that the team doctors committed malpractice and pulled a Tyrod Taylor need to apologize.

  4. Staying overnight in the hospital with a (lung?) injury. I hope they don’t rush him back for monday.

  5. I hope he gets better. Hopefully if he doesn’t play Monday we can still pull out the win but statistically speaking, if he isn’t on the field it’s almost a guaranteed loss 😞. That being said, I’d rather lose this game and him get the help he needs than win and him get more injured.

  6. I’m not even worried about him playing at this point.

As a wrestling fan both Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper/Brodie Lee had “lung problems” that kept them away from the shows and then one day….led to something tragic.

I am not a religious person but I genuinely pray that is not the case.

  7. First and foremost is his health. Hopefully this isn’t a punctured lung, just some fluid buildup that subsides. But I’m not a doctor, so don’t listen to me.

Second, this sucks because TJ actually gets a chance to be the blindside rusher, and then this happens.

    Welp, Herbig szn.

  8. Chiropractor here. Embarrassed to say i have heard of patients experiencing a broken rib during treatment. It’s hard to believe that a man his size would have a rib broken and displaced so much that it would damaged the lungs but the pain would require them to check it out. It could feel like a lung issue and that would require a hospital visit.

  9. My understanding is that it’s a collapsed lung, I hope that’s not true. I’ve been through that too, twice, it is at once not as scary as it sounds but also way scarier than it sounds. That’s a tough one to explain why but it just is. He is a dad that’s gonna be the first thing on his mind, I’m gonna pray for him to be fine no matter what it is and hope that when we get an update it’s something a lot less frightening. Hopefully it’s something much more simple.

  10. Tall white thin men are more susceptible to Spontaneous Pneumothorax. TJ hits two of those things. Wonder if this is the case?
