Joe Burrow to the Vikings

Joe Burrow was either going to retire or play for the Minnesota Vikings. Joe Burrow had some things to say at yesterday’s press conference, stating, “If it’s not fun, what am I doing it for?” And after saying that, some NFL execs took notice. Now, whatever made Joe say this could be completely unrelated to football, but I can guarantee you the situation in Cincinnati is not making anything easier. His old line especially. So, if Joe doesn’t want to play for the Bengals, why not play for the Vikings? Minnesota has the offensive line. They have the weapons. They have the head coach. And they have a defense that is way closer to competing for a Super Bowl than the Bengals. So, the move makes sense on the field, but does it make sense in the front office? Do you want to invest picks, players, and an assload of money into Joe Burrow, who’s struggled to stay healthy in the past? Well, let me tell you this. If you’re seriously trying to win a Super Bowl in Minnesota and you don’t go after Joe Burrow, if he comes available, you need to leave town right now because if there’s a shot at a top five quarterback in the NFL, you need to take it. Obviously, the one you drafted probably not going to work out. And with the most expensive roster in the NFL, now is the time to capitalize on it. This move is already picking up steam and I just want to add to it. I just want to add to the Joe Burrow to the Minnesota Vikings hype. The Minnesota Vikings have absolutely nothing to lose. And if you trade the house for Joe Burrow and it ultimately fails, oh well, at least you tried to bring a Super Bowl to Minneapolis.

  1. I love his statement about JJ, probably not gonna work out. He’s played what seven games! Newsflash to all so-called media out there they’re not getting rid of JJ. They traded up for him. You don’t trade up for a guy and then after seven games, say OK yeah you’re not our guy?! Talk about being crucified. That front office in the management would be out of there.

  2. They will never get rid of Joe unless he pulls a Carson Palmer type move and refuses to play. The Bengals have a waitlist for season tickets because of this man. He sells out the stadium. He's a cash cow. He's not going anywhere

  3. Your opening statement that “Joe Burrow was either going to retire or play for the Vikings” is ridiculous click bait! How does your mind come up with that crap? Oh, yes you just want clicks! Yes, JB sounded a lot like Andrew Luck in his press conference, which could make people think he might pull a “Luck” and retire but nothing he said remotely indicated that playing for the Vikings was an option! Oh, and by the way saying the Vikings have a good OL, is disingenuous as the two big FA signings of Fries & Kelly by failed GM Kwesi have been a disaster!

  4. As a die hard Vikings fan when I saw Joe's presser, I said come to Minnesota, I do not care about JJ at this moment, we have what you need, a decent O-line and a SB ready D!

  5. You obviously weren't alive when they did the Herschel Walker deal. That screwed the Vikings for years. Be careful for what you wish for. Vikings haven't sniffed the SB since that trade. This could be the same. Fair warning!!

  6. Trashy McPickthrower is a massive bust who has missed 76% of the possible games he could have been in. SO he is not the immediate future and probably not the long term future either. He is REALLY bad at football and will probably only have consistent drives once he starts working for Uber.

  7. I not only think Burrow is a top 5 quarterback, I think he is a top 3 quarterback. His stats back that up. How many times is an elite quarterback in his prime, available in a trade? The injuries would be the only concern with Burrow but that didn't stop Kwesi from bringing in free agents this year that were coming off injuries. The Vikings need to do it.
