NBA LIVE! Los Angeles Lakers vs Brooklyn Nets | December 12, 2025 | Lakers vs Nets LIVE 2K26
Craig, I know you do. One thing you got to love watching is great ball movement, which is something both of these teams take pride in. It’s always fun to watch guys be unselfish with the ball and look to make each other better. So, the next starting five, he got Nicholas Clton. Porter is out there with Cam Thomas and it’s Popkin in at the point and the Nets with possession here after Luca Donic’s three-pointer that didn’t go. Lets the free fly. Buffin with the bucket. And good to get him going early. That that shot should give him some confidence. Perhaps he’s set for a big night. I mean, he can be a difference maker for him when he’s on his game. James and foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. The recent history of the Nets, you know, Greg, they’re always looking for a big splash or a quick fix to be competitive. And Kevin, this franchise has sold its future more than a few times, but but they always find a way to bounce back. You hope they don’t go for a quick fix with this break. Take a break. Two shots. First one falls for the feel LeBron has for the game. Unreal. Whatever situation finds himself in. He always seems to have an answer. And both free throws good for LeBron. The net’s on offense. Pass to High Smith to the middle. Here’s Porter and the call on the shot sends him to the line. That one on eight. Michael Porter Jr. is an active shooter, which is why he gets defenders to overcommit. It’s his first trip to the line. And going back to his performance at the line last year, guys, 84% as a free throw shooter. You know, he really did excel at the stripe. I mean, they couldn’t have asked for too much more from him when it came to knocking down free throws. First free throw is good. Well, Michael Porter Jr. is one of the premier shooters in the NBA. And that size that he brings to that sweet stroke makes it hard to get to a shot. 610. Shoots it with confidence. Shoots it with great fluidity. And man, is he special. and he’s worked through some injury trouble early in his career and now he’s one of the more lethal front court players in the league on the perimeter and he makes both free throws and about a minute gone here in the first quarter now Reeves driving the lane and the rejection by Claxton Here’s Buffkin guarded by Donic. Pass to Thomas Himura. Five on the clock and Claxton throws it down. Oh, inflicting some punishment with the two-hand flush. Ah, they’re going for the throat. Now’s the time to do it. Keep attacking that rim. Reeves against Thompson. Reeves the pass to Donic. It’s Hatchim in the corner. Good. The assist goes to D. And we know Himura has a confident personality. You see it there with the rise and fire approach. Nice. Here’s Buff on the wing. Porter James covering and the shot goes in and that’s Porter Jr. shows nice follow through on the shot even through the contact. Pass to Aton first quarter ball almost two and a half minutes in no good. The Nets have gotten their first three shots to go in for him to start off this game. in a screen on Donic. Lets it go from 11 again. The Nets for two. Enzo Donic will bring it up for Los Angeles. Six-point game into the lane and the rejection by Claxton. Outside Thomas back to Claxton. Very foul. Yeah, he took a shot there. Earned those free throws. Well, that shooting the third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. And if we want to take a look back, they converted about 76% from the line. And you know, there was plenty of blame to go around for that. I mean, it wasn’t just one or two guys. I mean, for the most part, the entire team struggled. And he makes the first. The Lakers making a switch here. Hayes has checked in. Second free throw. No good. Lakers trail by seven. Shoots from 14. There we go. Now in the scoring column with that kick. He is one for four. You know guys, you look at Donic and he has really good size for the wing which helps him have his way against most defenders. Porter looking it over. Paxton sets the screen for Porter and the three off. Acres have gone 206 from the field. Here’s Dic and he banks in the lay. Dic has got his second basket of the game. Luke combination of finesse and bully ball in there. That’s quarter. A screen on Donic. Here’s Buffin and the Nets miss again. Los Angeles is gone. One of three from beyond the mark so far in the game. The three for Donic. That doesn’t go either for Donic. Brooklyn leading by three. There’s Porter with the three. They get the rebound. Claxton inside covered by Hayes to the right wing. Persistence pays off as they finally hit a shot. Hopkins got seven points in the game. The Lakers have gotten three of these shots to fall for them here in the first quarter to the inside. Now here’s Donic. He’s guarded close the way up. pitched. Porter with it and Hachimura picks him up defensively. Pass to Thomas. Six on the shot clock. It’s held in by LeBron. Lakers trail by five. Oh, the jam by LeBron. might be an underrated part of James’s game being totally thrown off the defender with that move. Fets have gotten five of 10 shots to drop in this game so far. Right at the 50% mark and Jordy Fernandez has called a timeout. This will give him a chance to discuss some potential alterations. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. connect. He’s checked in for Hatchimal. Williams has checked in for Brooklyn. to the left side lane. Donic against over Donic and against and it’s missing. And here’s James. He’ll bring it up for the Los Angeles Lakers. They trail by three. goes up to the strike. It’s held in by Claxton. Claxton’s got four rebounds in this game. Pass to Buffkin. Porter with it. Braxton finds Porter and off the in it goes. Porter’s got six. Well, you must respect Porter Jr. scoring ability. I mean, he is terrific connecting from the mid-range. Reed Bars to Donic. That one goes in. Six points for Lucic. Another nice bucket down low. They’ve really been able to work the ball into the post effectively here so far. Now, here’s Williams. He has yet to score. It’s Porter outside. It’s rebounded by Hayes. Hayes has got his fourth rebound with that last one. Hayes pays it up off the glass. And nice touch from the inside. I’m a fan of when LeBron just burls his way inside and takes advantage. Here’s Buffin. He has seven outside. Thomas for three. Gets that one to fall after missing his first two. One for three from the field and he’s not going to miss that sort of an opportunity from deep now. Here’s Claxton covering Reeves in the corner. Just five on the clock. And again, Los Angeles. One of the things you’ve got to admire and respect about him is his aggressiveness at the offensive end. Always an attack mode. Clark, what is it about Austin Reeves style of play that makes him such a good scoreer? I love the fact that you can change pace with the dribble. You know, he’s not super fast, but he’s not slow either. What he is is shifty and smart. He’s got good size, good ball skills, and he’s got a nice mid-range jumper. All of that allows him to keep defenders off balance. And when he’s on the floor, offensive rebounding is always going to be a strength for him. Greg, he keeps so many possessions alive, doesn’t he? And you know, those second chance opportunities can be game changers. He represents so much value to this team because of what he does. Heat. Heat. Smart check in for Los Angeles. Brooklyn’s gotten just two of six to fall from three-point range so far in the first side. Thomas man smart with the steel and now the fast break. Donic with the ball and he lays in behind you and the Lakers. Tell you what, very few players have the playmaking ability of Luther Donic. This guy is special with his vision and pass right. Thomas against Smart. Sharp with a screen on Smart. Thomas passes to Sharp and then Sharp with the dunk. I tell you what, his vertical is awesome. Off the charts, a short center who still makes his presence felt. Pass to James outside picking up the assist. James continues to impress with his pass and I think that’s his greatest attribute. Outstanding assist there. Thomas put in by Smart outside Williams. He is holding by Los Angeles. Here’s James. He has six. Hayes with the screen for LeBron. Pocket six over Wilson. The rebound by Sharp. Nets trail by three. There’s Williams outside for Thomas. Launches it and it’s LeBron James with the rebound. Thomas gone 104 from the field. James dishes to Smart. And some of what Smart gives this team doesn’t always show up in the stat sheet, but but he makes plays that help you win. for Los Angeles. They’ve gone two for two in the game at the line. Yeah. A year ago though, Kevin, 78% conversion rate from the free throw line. So that’s a nice allaround effort and he knocks down the first one. Vanderbilts check in for the Lakers. Austin Reeves comes in for Luca Donic. And the Nets making a change here as well. Highmith has checked in. And so Smarts both of them. And Thomas will bring it up for Brooklyn. It’s a five-point game. Pass on to Ice Smith. Back to Thomas. Fires from the corner and he gets it to go. Hitting off the back of the rim. Thomas got his second bucket tonight. Los Angeles leading by three. There’s a minute 34 left here in the first quarter. And that was a little bit of a range check for him. You know, guys, I think he’s got confidence to shoot it from anywhere, but he could have gotten a better one than that. Man passes to Sharp. Nice ball movement by Brooklyn to the paint. Man gets the bucket. And those are the kind of nice inside looks they’ve gotten here in the first half. Here’s LeBron. James closes it down. LeBron James power and athleticism on full display with the James. Pass to Thomas. A beautiful reversal. Thomas got his third basket of the night right there. And the combination of his quickness and soft touch around the rim really allows him to pull off shots like that. A lot of players don’t have the reverse in their arsenal. Nice shot by James. LeBron’s got 10 points in the game. A monster down low. LeBron James, the rare package of skill, size, and athletic. Man gets the bucket and they keep hammering away at him inside, forcing the ball into the paint. James looking around. Reeves outside inside LeBron with the basket. The assist by Reeves. And that’s 12 points for LeBron. Yet another stellar night for LeBron offensively so far. In some ways, he’s just unstoppable. Here’s Man and he got that one up in time, but doesn’t go in. And so, lots of scoring in that competitive first quarter. Los Angeles on top, up by three. 2K Sports back in a moment here in Los Angeles. And this has been a fairly close game through the first quarter. And we’ll see what happens here in the second. And taking a look at Los Angeles’s performance here, what have they been doing or not doing? Well, they use the fast break to generate some easy buckets before the defense could get set. And you know, for them guys, it’s all about tempo. Keep the pressure on and do so as much as possible. Frank, what a great time to be a fan of basketball, not just in the NBA, but all over the world. Absolutely, Kevin. The sport just continues to grow and there’s increased value being placed on allaround skill even in youth basketball and I think that bodess well for the future of the game and Brooklyn looking who they’ve got rebound Terrence man Williams is out there with shot and it’s high in the four here connect and so it looks like the Lakers will in possession And the Lakers have possession. Three-point lead. Very dangerous to leave a guy like that open. Lucky right there for the D. Pass to Highmith. Both loose. Smart with the steel. A three drops in the tray. Smart’s got the lead up to six now for the Lakers. And how’s that for a killer crossover? It’s a thing of beauty. And now the latest from our reporter David. Thanks very much. Austin Reeves went undrafted, but his success comes as no surprise to him. He says, “I’ve always felt like I belonged.” Goes back to childhood. His mom once asked him, “Is this confidence or cockiness?” He told her, “You’re basically kind of the same thing.” Kevin, back to you. That’s something else. Undoing. Hey, David, thank you. And with the offense getting right to the rim, at least they saved the layup. Old school D right there. just telling them no easy layups. It’s as simple as that and that’s what you expect from them. And what do you guys think so far about the offensive approach for the Lakers? They’re controlling the pace of this game, pushing the ball up court and getting good looks in early offense. One other factor today, points off turnovers. I mean, let’s see if they can keep up the pressure, capitalize off more force miscues. The Lakers making a switch here. Aim checked in. Martins check in for Brooklyn then misses. So he splits the free throws. Nets trail by four. Outside Williams shoots over Himura. Misses off the right eye. reads the bells to Smart Harden against Hatchim. And that one goes out of bounds. As touched by Sharp and we have to take another glance at that powerful rejection and that is a huge block given how close this game is. A stop like that was right on point. Smart on the wing. Covered by Martin. Five to shoot. Leaves and he gets contact and the whistle on the shot. Two shots coming up. Los Angeles shooting their seventh and eighth attempts at the foul line tonight. Take a break. Take a break. shot on the first one. And team wide, they’ve been terrific from the line here. Just one of those nights when the confidence has spread from one player to the next. That one is no good. Nets trail by five. Williams for three. And again, Brooklyn with the triple. Defensively, there was a lack of aggressiveness and it really made it easy for him to knock that shot down. Reeves outside. Vanderbilt setting the pit for Reeves. Then they lose in no time getting those three points back. Breeze has got six points. How about doing from long range just going at each other. Looks to me like there could be something personal taking place here. Now here is Martin scoreless thus far down low. Steve shot with the jump. And he can time his passes so perfectly. Wow. What an assist. Lakers leading by three. Outside Smart out to the wing Chimera against Williams outside for Smart. Pocket four. And here’s Reeves outside. Brooklyn with the rebound. Sharp’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. Inside stolen by Reeves. Pass from Vanderbilt. Now here is Huie. Reeves outside from three-point range. Nets trail by three to the paint. Here’s Weman. No good. Man, I can’t believe he blew that gimme, guys. Well, I know he’s frustrated about that. Pass to Reeves. There it is. His third best. He’s taken seven shots to get those three. I mean, he makes plays like that in his sleep. The game is just far too easy. And we got a timeout here called by Jordi Fernandez. He’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with his guys. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. and Los Angeles with some changes. The locos check in and James in for Vanderbilt and the Nets also making a change. Wilson’s checked in. Next trail by five. Pass to Sharp Man with it. He takes the fantastic lead pass up strong for the slam and one step ahead of the defense with that solid screen and then Greg the monster dunk to finish it off. Boy, picture perfect teamwork there. Oh, James flushes in the alleyoop. Superb timing by LeBron on that alleyoop. Brooklyn’s gone two or three when they’ve stepped beyond the arc in the second quarter. Now, here’s Shark. Puts it up from seven. Williams for three. He is rebounded by Polo. Lakers lead by five. Smart passes to James. Wise passing here by Los Angeles. Nice shot by Sn got six points in the quarter. That is not enough coverage. Got to do better than that defensively. Basically no coverage. I mean defense did not look very good there. Back to Wilson outside Williams. Sharp with his screen on Himura. Williams for three. Buries it from three-point range. Williams has got six. The real come at us and we’re coming right back at you. A little back and forth from long range. I love it. That’s a terrific answer there. And he sinks that one hitting the back of the rim on the way in. And the Lakers lead by seven. Brooklyn’s gotten a lot of looks outside tonight. Five of 12. Now here’s Shook. Tight defense on him outside. Wilson takes to man. Lets it go from deep. The rebound by the Lakers. Smart kicks to Hatchima. Reeves left side. Can’t connect from 13 ft up. Nets trail by seven. Pass to Sharp. Now here’s Williams. Shoots over Himura. Williams shots off and it’s smart with the ball for the Lakers to the middle. He finishes another LeBron James. The Lakers have gone six of eight from the free throw line tonight. Donic has checked in for the Lakers. One shot. Free throw drops for James. That’s trail by 10. Claxton. Here’s Thomas. Shoots the three. Good on the triple. Thomas got 10 points in the game. Yeah, clearly a defensive blast there. He is automatic from deep if you’re going to leave him that wide open. Big time mistake. Cam Thomas was the 27th pick in the 2021 NBA draft. G, I think a lot of teams, I’m pretty sure you agree, are regretting passing on. Yeah, it’s pretty hard to believe that he fell all the way to the end of the first round. Lots of teams would love to have a score like him on their roster. And out of bounds as the Lakers gain possession. Vincent’s checked in for Marcus Smart. And a switch here for Brooklyn. Icemith has checked in. Los Angeles leading by seven. Pass to Koko. Hashimura with it. Guarded by Porter. Fade away and he gets the bucket. Five points in the game. And a solid shooter from mid-range with textbook fundamentals. Here’s Claxton Thomas. It’s a wide open look and again Brooklyn with the triple. Here’s Donic. Six points for him. Pass to Vincent. Now James Donic with it. Down to five on the shot clock. Tried to come right back with a three of his own. It’s no good. Nets trail by six. Here’s Claxton. Pass to Porter. Unloads from 13. He nails the jumper. Porter’s got eight points. It all started with the pass. That’s what coaches love to see. Ball movement. Now Vincent they set the picks up a three doesn’t go and he’s 0 for one from the field. You know what though? Sometimes you can be too open. I think it may have surprised him and that’s why he missed. Here’s Bust defended by Vincent. Thomas surveying the deep. It’s over. Shot is good in the Los Angeles leads. Cut down to just two points in the bucket from Thomas with the ball on the string. Just getting anywhere he wants to go. Benson with it. Nothing on the board. James the pass to Donic. Donic converts inside. Brook is a massive guard. He can do damage inside just as easily as outside. Here’s Buffin. Defended by Vincent. Here’s Thomas with the three. Pass to Buffin. Off target with his three. Lakers leading by four. 152 left here in the second. Dishes with it. Here’s Vincent. The shot’s good on the assist by Donic. Donic has got four assists in the game. I like Donic’s willingness to share the ball. He wants to see other guys involved and producing. Here’s Buffin. Defended by Vincent. Offensive rebound and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. Wilkins shooting their fifth and six free throws of the game. and he can’t get the first one. Andre Aiden’s check in for the Lakers. Austin Reeves comes in for Vincent. He hits the second from the line. And so it’s Dunic with it. He brings it up for the Los Angeles Lakers. They’ve led by as much as 10. Shane sets the screen for Dunic with the three. Dunic sticking from way outside and creating a little separation here. Gaining some confidence. Yeah, you get the sense that they’re going to start stretching this lead out a little bit. Mets passing it around. Pass to Thomas. Hits it from three-point range. Thomas got 18 points and an eye for an eye. Both teams working to stretch the floor. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three, you fire three of your own. Boom. at the James. So physically powerful. A tough task to defend LeBron inside. He’s got free throw attempts number four and five here. And his percentage at the line last season right at the 75% mark. And the first one at the line is good. Both free throws good from James. 36 seconds left in the second quarter. Pass to Buffin. screen by Flaxton and a miss there on the triple. Lakers lead by eight. Here’s LeBron. Here’s the shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. An absolute beast inside. Love how Aiden uses his size to draw these fouls. Shoot two. and free throw missing. And you just have to be enticed by the skill set of Aiden, a 7 foot1 behemoth who plays with a lot of physicality and skill on both ends. and the second free throw. Good. 11 seconds left in the first half on the wing quarter and a wide open look for Claxton. And that does it for the first half of play. Lakers lead by nine. 2K Sports back in a moment here in Los Angeles. and we’ve hope you’ve enjoyed the broadcast so far. We’re halfway through the game. What can you say? LeBron James, what an impressive effort today. And how about the amount he’s contributing in the scoring column through two quarters? He has been terrific. And you know what? He’s a threat to throw it down to Claxton against Thomas with the dunk. Oh, that’s a major league throw down. Keeps a tight grip on that rim, too, after the finish. Maybe that’ll help them recapture their edge a little bit, guys. Here’s Aon. Coxton covering, fades and shoots and he buries that one. Dribbling the rim on the way down. Eightton’s got the lead up to 13 now for Los Angeles. Pass to Heisman. And here is Thomas over Re. And again, it’s Brooklyn converting. And he should thank the key for those two points. Nobody paying much attention to him on that throw. Judge passes to LeBron. LeBron throws it down. Taking it to the rack with power. Hammering down the two hand slam. Really powering on the lead with a dump like that. Takes it from 10. No good on the shot. A bit long that time. Lakers leading by 13. Pass to Hexi Mar. It’s hauled in by Michael Porter have gone two of four here to start the second half. To the paint here goes straight to the defender for the dunk. Draws the foul. He’ll go to the line. That one on eight. And you know, we can’t measure Hart. I mean, he’s not as big as the other power forwards, but his jumping ability and mindset is incredible. The Nets have shot 67% from the line tonight. Going for a six. And so it’s the Lakers with it. 13 points was their biggest lead in the game. Kic feeling it out and a wide open look for Himaur. The three-pointer off the mark. That’s trail by 10. Pass to Glaxton. Here’s Buffkin. Right around 3 minutes into the second half near the three-point line. It’s Porter off the mark. He’s shooting it well and scoring points and budgets. Next trail by 13. Last ice to the middle. Here’s Porter and finished off by Porter. Well, when you got Porter’s length, this is what you can do. It makes it easy to get to the rim for the throw down. Right now, let’s hand it over to the sidelines and get a report from David Aldridge. Kevin, if you want to win, of course, playing both ends of the floor is essential. Former defensive player of the year, Draymond Green, says, “We’ve seen teams for years make the mistake of thinking they can put a great offense out there and win. You run up against a team that’s just competent offensively, but if they play defense, they’re going to lose. Got it. Got the one-two punch as Draymond talks about. Man, that is certainly tough to get by the eighth bench. And the confidence Ashimura has in himself. Knows he can score from this area when given the chance outside Porter. Pass to Claxton. Back to Porter. Porter double team. Claxton with it. Shot clock at six. Now here’s Thomas and the free ball is good. Thomas got seven points here in this quarter and this is the game plan for him. He understands he’s going to get hit, but he’s seeking out that contact and playing right through it. All right. Well, look at how the hustle game has been going for the Lakers. They’ve been running away from the defense all game. I mean, loads of points here off the fast break and the opposition just hasn’t been able to adjust to that aggressive play style. And I’ve also noticed how opportunistic they’ve been off turnovers. Doing a really good job taking advantage of the opponent’s mistakes. And here is Thomas. 25 points in the game. Mr. Williams inside and stolen by James. Here’s Aton and Aton throws it down. Attacking in transition. The most consistent way to generate easy looks. Yep. Exactly. If there’s any opportunity for early offense, you got to push it and push it every time. There’s no problem knocking that one down. Smiths got six in the corner. Gets the shot he wants. The defense wasn’t quite connected enough. They lost contact to the middle. Here’s Hatton. Rebounding. Brooklyn. Clapton’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. Nets trail by 14. Man passes to Thomas over Donic. Thomas gets the bucket. Thomas got nine points here in the second half. I love the spirit he’s shown tonight, particularly on the offensive end. Well, I tell you what, the hole would be a lot deeper if he wasn’t being as efficient as he’s been so far. Put a little extra on that. He does. He doesn’t usually finish soft either. Obviously, he can when necessary, but not that time. Not when he can throw it down like that. Boom. Screen on Dunic. Thomas is off. You know, defensively, you just can’t afford to give him that much room. They’re fortunate that he missed that one. Re clocks in. These are his third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. Yeah, he wasn’t someone you wanted to foul if you were defending him last season. 85% is what he made from the line. Yeah, that’s a great asset to have, guys. Uh, for any team coming down the stretch in close games, you got a guy who’s confident and very good at the line. When he steps up there, you feel good about the first one. And he makes the first but misses the second. Nets trail by 15. Thomas. 27 points for him. Wilson kicks to Williams. Outside Thomas rebounded by the Lakers. Here’s LeBlan. And he makes the bucket. Gets the whistle. And now a three-point play chance here for him. And with the lead. I like the strategy here. Continue to get the ball to guys who can do something with it. If it’s working, keep working it. That’s what I say. Keep the pressure on. And this is his fourth trip to the free throw line tonight. Free throw drops for James. It’s the Nets now. They trail by 18. Now here’s Thomas outside Wilson. Back to Thomas. Shoots over Donic. Thomas no good. Lakers lead by 18. James in the post and finished off by LeBron. Wellrounded effort and they show no signs of laying almost no holes in their performance tonight. They’ve been tremendous. Pass to Thomas. Williams looking over the floor. Solid play on the low block. And that one’s good. Williams has got eight points. Los Angeles has gone one or two from beyond the arc since coming out of the break. And Aon throws it down. And that’s a double double for him now. 11 points and 10 rebounds. That’s LeBron. one of the best front court playmakers. That is something you just can’t teach. Wilson the pass to Thomas. It’s over Donic. Thomas no good. Here are the Lakers with the ball. They’re on a 17-7 run. James gets to Aiden. Donic outside. Pass to James from the arc. Rebound by Williams. close to making the defense pay for the lack coverage that time. Here’s Thomas. Here we go. In the rejection by Eaton up topic. He’s guarded by Williams. Here’s Eaton. That’s not going to drop for him. Five of nine with that miss. Nets trail by 20. Outside Thomas and he drops in the layup off the glass. Thomas got 11 points in the quarter. Going all he can so far but they still find themselves trouble. Reeves left side. Thomas against another field goal in his total. make it seven for 14, shooting 50%. I mean, he’s just been brilliant today, guys. And it was the same exact story last time out. I wasn’t quite sure if he’d be able to maintain that same level of play. I had my doubts coming into this game, but consider my doubts disappear. And it’s going to be out of bounds. The Nets will retain possession. And the Lakers making a change here. Hayes has checked in. And the Nets also making a change. Martins check in for Cameron Thomas. 20 seconds left to play here in the third. Man with it. Nine points in the game so far. Four on the clock. Fires for three. Buries the long range jumper. Pays got 12 points in the game. Here’s James. And that one released in time, but no good. And so it’s the Los Angeles Lakers feeling good about their 17-point lead heading into the break. They’ve had such great ball shot selection, and it’s led to a terrific field goal percentage. And don’t go away, we’ll be right back. And with the fourth quarter upon us, time is running out for this game to become competitive. And James will bring it up for the Lakers. They led the game at 1.520. On the court for the Nets getting the fourth quarter going, he got Wilson. Terrence man is out there with Martin. Then it’s Sharp and it’s Williams at the three. Williams passes to man. Back to Williams with a nice touch off the glass. That’s 10 points for Williams. And we always talk about making your teammate better. That assist was right on target. Outside smart. Pass to Hatchim over Williams. Hatchiman. No good. Nets trail by 17. Williams with the guy. Now guarded by Smart. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. That one on Smart. The first free throw is good. He doesn’t get the second. Los Angeles leading by 16. from outside off the mark. I’m shocked that didn’t turn into three points. I mean, he makes you pay on those nearly every time. To the inside. Wilson banked in off the glass. Wilson’s got his first basket of the night. Good solid execution inside. That’s exactly the look you want. Smart passes to Vincent. Pass to Himi Murray. He’s looking for Hayes and finds him. Six to shoot. Back to Himi Murray. Lets it go with the three. Vincent’s shot is good. And the Lakers lead by 17. And right there you see the decision making ability of Hatimora. Sets his man up perfectly. Smart against Martin outside. Williams. Sharp sets the pick to Williams. Trying to answer back, but that is off the mark. Los Angeles has gone margin from three-point range here in the fourth to the paint. Outside Chris, no good on the triple. Nets trail by 17 outside. Williams fires from deep. That’s in for his fifth field goal of the game. Makes him 5 for 12 so far. Boy, he could have taken himself, but he went from good better to best and getting the shot for his teammate outside. Smart and they double up James. Smart kicks to eight. He cleans that one off the back and down it falls. And so it’s Brooklyn with it. It’s a 16-point game. Martin against Smart. Williams. A screen on Smart. Martin the pass to Williams and the Nets. Another three. It’s been this way since halftime. Tremendous production from beyond the arc. Boy, it’s been a three-point barrage. They came out gun cunning but have not stopped. Oh, LeBron’s just too strong inside. And obviously his momentum from the last game has carried over here tonight. And you know that’s how it goes with him. I mean his hot streaks guys don’t last minutes, they last days. Thanks to Maine over can’t hit. The shot’s there for him and he’s got to take it. I don’t care if he doesn’t convert. That’s a shot he has to continue to take to the left wing. Green by James. Here’s Vincent and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. and he makes the first check in for Jackson Hayes. Michael Porter. He’s checked in for the Nets. And so Vincent nails both of them. Next trail by 17. Pass to Sharp. Now man defended by Vincent. Man gets the bucket. You make your teammates better by giving them good passes. That one was perfect. Vincent the pass is smart. shoots a fader and he tries off the glass, but it’s no good. The Nets have gone five of seven from the field since the beginning of the fourth. Strong work at that end of the floor. Porter kicks to Martin. Six on the shot clock. Sharp sets the pick for Martin. Good from outside. And so it’s Hatchima who brings up the ball for the Lakers. Outside Smart LeBron passes to Aiden. The Lakers moving the ball around. Williams inside by LeBron. Shot off. Lakers lead by 15. pass to eight and Porter with the steel. Martin against Smart Martin the pass to Williams. Here’s man and the Nets miss again. Look at him and he’s a little hit and miss from there even without a defender in his face. No guarantee. Nice shot by LeBron. And that’s just cold bloodooded right there. He’s taking no pressure. Guys, when you’re this hot, it’s elementary. Let it fire. Keep staying at it. Martin wide open. He fires. Drills it from outside. Defensively, there was a lack of aggressiveness and it really made it easy for him to knock that shot down. LeBron passes to Aiden. And here’s Smart inside. Here’s Vincent. Good. And Schwarz gets the assist. Schwarz’s got four assist now. You have to love the unselfishness on display there. Excellent pass. Martin finds Porter. The rebound by James. James has got six rebounds now in the game. And it’s good on the way. Ryan’s got 40 points. When you allow good scorers to get uncontested shots at the rim, no wonder you’re losing. You know, he should be getting extra attention from the defense. Not less. Here’s Porter hits the target from 18 ft. And the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. Well, I’m going to credit the screen. I mean, that’s a good strong pick. He lays it and JJ Reick is called timeout. And that timeout by coach was carefully measured. Wanting to make sure that everybody is on the same page here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And now, let’s present our New Balance player of the game, LeBron James. And guys, he’s been about as close to perfection as you can be. The intensity he’s played with has been amazing. Just no let up. And as fired up as he’s been, he’s never let his emotions get out of control. The better he played, the more these fans got revved up. And that continued to play out over the course of his amazing performance. Breeze finds Hutchie Murray against James and James push it down hard. Tell you what, just add that into the highlight reel. James is truly one of the greatest slam dunkers of all time. Next trail by 18 pass to Porter. Here’s High and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Heat. Heat. And the first one he’s perfect from the line this time. Los Angeles leading by 16 to eight. Here’s LeBron. The three ball. A shot. No good. Yeah, they had some boxed coverage that turned into no coverage. Thomas passes to Porter. He’s looking for Claxton and finds him over Reeves. A shot’s good from Claxton. Now Reeds Eightton a screen on Tucks. Here’s Reeds. Manage to Aton. Good defense by Claxton. Nets trail by 14. Here’s Buffin. Here’s Heisman. Good. And a nice assist from Porter. High Smith’s got five points now this quarter. So many of the plays they’re running designed to create opportunities from deep. Well, you know, that’s exactly the key here in the fourth. Work to find space behind the arc and then bury some threes. And he knocks down the first one. And so he’s able to get one of two. Nets trail by 12. Here’s Porter. And the rejection by James. What timing by James on the denial. His hand is right there at the exact moment it needs to be. Leaves the pass to James. Great focus from LeBron. Gets it and still gets it to go. Special. Just aren’t any guys right here who can accelerate to the rim and finish in style. Pass to Thomas over Ree. Good on that shot. With that, the Los Angeles lead is cut down now to just 12 points with the basket from Thomas. Los Angeles has gotten just one of four three-pointers to go down for them here in the fourth. James misses and he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can’t count on him to continue missing. Pass to Porter. Here’s Buffkin. Covered by LeBron. Screened by Clarkston. Shot clock at foul. Swang and he draws the foul. A chance for another point at the free throw line. He is on Luca Donic. That pass into the paint. That is a work of art there. Dead on target. And there’s a minute 45 left to play in the final quarter. Lakers leading by nine. outside. Pass to LeBron to the middle. Porter with the steel. Thomas with the ball. Back to Porter. Now here’s Thomas. He’s covered by Him. And he gets it back. And the basket by Thomas. Thomas got four points now in the quarter. You’ve got to be aware of him at all times. He’s a pully on the backboard. passes to Reeds. James in the post is there. No one near Reeves as he wants it. Good as it goes to James. And now as the clock ticks down, this is going to end up as a solid victory here for Los Angeles. In the end, they had a better shooting percentage and that’s what made the difference. Sometimes, you know, things go your way. wasn’t catching up against all their overall shot selection was the one player that really stands out of course in this one. It was a dazzling game for LeBron. He was extremely efficient offensively. Got good looks and really knocked down big shots all game long. 7second difference shot and game clockage finds out to Reeves. Nice passing there by Los Angeles. A three production number three for the Lakers. Savvy play call that time by L creating some room for himself out there. Got some space just what he needed. So, it’s Los Angeles win this one easy. Some good competition, but the hometown advantage and their ability to stay focused, I think, make a difference. Yeah. And the first step to becoming a good team is your ability to win at
