Carmelo Anthony Makes Feelings Clear on Stephen Curry’s Place in NBA GOAT Conversation Alongside LeBron James

The 5th championship will finally drop LeFraud from the conversation. Regardless, Chef is the greatest basketball player of his generation if he retired today. Only modern players that can rival his greatness are Jordan, Johnson, Duncan and Bryant. The doctor is always right.
I love Steph but to claim he’s better than LeBron is an insane take.
According to LeBron, Steph is the GOAT
Who cares what Melo thinks about anything. He peaked in college.
The fact that there are people still saying that Steph ain’t even top 10 all time is just insane
Curry is amazing and still can’t believe what he’s pulled off in his career coming from Davidson to now
Won 4-0, 4-1, 4-2, lost 3-4 with a 4 point loss in G7.
Sticking to the same team in ups and downs and win the same number of chips as a superteam hopper.
Result is obvious lol.
Carmelo. Shut the fuck up!
Regardless Steph single-handedly changed the game more than any player in history.
I whole-heartedly disagree wirh Melo here and have Steph in my personal top 5 ever – but ppl calling Melo a bum and Bron “Lefraud” are braindead, delusional, and emotional af. Let him have his opinion and grow up.
Yup, and he’s the GOAT offensive player bar none.
Pick your favorite player (Jordan, Magic, Kareem, etc. dont matter) they wont avg 15ppg for their career if they were guarded like Steph.
I think career stats are a stupid point regarding the GOAT debate. I think having tons of stats/per game is also stupid regarding the GOAT debate. Nothing is more important than just being able to beat the teams in front of you. What is important is how much of an influence you are on the team while you’re beating other teams.
Sure, points, assists and rebounds matter, but how much do those specific ones that you get impact winning directly? I’m watching Jokic right now. Man he’s a real stat monster. Same with Luka. They are just mass amounting counting stats like crazy. Inflating their advanced stats too. Jokic in comparison to Stephs prime? Jokic stats says he is far better on paper… But why was Steph winning championships and Jokic only have 1? They are in the same conference, the west has been a gauntlet for decades. Jokic team is not bad, he actually has a co-star that can close games for him and pretty much become an automatic bucket. I mean, Denver has been near the top of those standings for a while so even if you want to argue that his team sucks, they are still winning regular season games like crazy.
Yet, at the end of Jokic’s career and if he’s not won anymore championships, they are going to try and put him over Steph. If Jokic retires today they will try to put him over Steph. Does that not sound ridiculous to anyone paying attention? Counting stats and juiced up advanced stats due to those counting stats are just stupid when deciding the GOAT. You are either winning or you’re not.
Steph’s influence on his teams winning is a large portion. Bill Russell’s influence on his team winning was bigger than the rest of his team but it wasn’t a tremendous difference. Robert Horry literally wasn’t even the biggest factor on his team ever.
Now, back to the main argument, Lebron has a tremendous influence on his team, but this guy is in year 22 and has 4 championships, which is the same as Stephs, in the same era. Steph did it in less time, and has won 2 championships that he’s had less help to do so than all of Lebrons championships. Maybe you can argue 2016 but my god 2022 in comparison to how much help a super-star had to win, it’s pretty obvious that Kyrie was a much better player than anyone on Stephs 2022 roster list. Hell, the shot that Kyrie hit in game 7 alone should have won him FMVP. Ray Allen also saved another one of Lebrons chips. 2 of these chips don’t even happen unless someone other than Lebron hits a single shot to change the outcome of an elimination game. That’s WILD to hear when you consider people are trying to push Lebron is the GOAT debate. Absolutely WILD.
Regardless, it’s hard to think that anyone with a clear consciousness would have Lebron over Steph if Steph wins another. Lets see if Steph gets ring #5, then we’ll see what all the haters have to say.
