T.J. Watt UPDATE after scary situation, Dugger, Washington return, DL injuries | Steelers Rewind

What’s going on everybody? Welcome back to Steelers Rewind here on penlive.com. Nick Farbell here with you all. The Steelers practicing here from Thursday. They had yesterday off, but turns out something extremely eventful happened yesterday. TJ Watt hospitalized um with a lung issue during treatment on Wednesday. Mike Tomlin did not have literally much detail outside of that fact um that TJ Watt is in the hospital. He said he talked to him today. He’s in good spirits. Alex Highmith said the same thing. TJ B is in conspiracy. He’s undergoing testing today. There will be more of an update on TJ tomorrow. We will see what those tests reveal and really the details behind it. That’s all we know right now. Lung issue in the hospital on Wednesday. It came up in discomfort and it happened at some point during treatment. We’re not sure of any of the other specifics there, but he is truly up in the air for Monday against the Dolphins. Um injury-wise outside of that, some good news for the Steelers. Um Darnell Washington was out here. here. So, is Malle Harrison, two of the guys that were in concussion protocol from the Ravens game were out here today. Um, Darnell in particular, a really big one. They need him, especially against the two high shells the Dolphins use. They need to really run the ball in this game. If you’re going to beat the Dolphins defense, running the ball is a big part of it and that is going to be a big part of it. So, Darnell being available potentially really big. No Andress Pete, which means Dylan Cook, you are in line to potentially start on Monday. It’s not completely out of the woods yet. uh that orers Pete is going to be out but not practicing on Thursday. Not a good sign for Pete and is signaling towards Cook potentially being the starting left tackle on Monday night against the Dolphins. Um no James Pierre today. He has a calf issue. We will see what happens there. No Keanu Benton, no Derek Harmon. Um both those guys were expected to be limited early in the week. So not a surprise necessarily that they weren’t on here. Let’s see if they’re out here tomorrow. Um, Benton was at least out there watching. I didn’t even see Harmon out there, but Harmon did say this morning he talked uh to the media and said he was optimistic about playing. DK Medv with that stomach issue that landed him in the hospital uh on Sunday night into Monday. He’s okay. He was out here practice. He said, “I’m good.” A few times today when talking to the media. And last but not least, Kyle Duggar also out here today with the hand issue. He had that hand injury um that he suffered a week ago. did not play against the Ravens. It seems like he is on track to return. Just a long list of injuries for the Pittsburgh Steelers this week and we will see where things go. TJ Watt adding on to that already. All right, folks.
