I love seeing stuff like this, they hate the way we play, and Tulsky living rent free in people’s heads is great.

  1. “Yeah we lost but you’re boring” is the quite possibly the saddest cope a losing team can ever cope, and there’s a lot of sad copes from losing teams out there.

    You know what’s boring? Losing.

  2. This is starting early this year. Typically, we can at least get into January before we start getting called boring.

  3. I don’t blame Caps fans for hating us in the same reason I don’t blame Devils fans for hating us.

When you own someone this thoroughly, their overwhelming hate of everything you do is a mark of pride

  4. Tulsky is a boring GM who doesn’t court chaos and make fun trades? That’s hilarious given that all last season he was being called crazy after he traded Necas during a career year for Rantanen without a guarantee that Rantanen would sign, then flipped him for a pint-sized rookie and an over-the-hill former MVP plus picks.

  5. Goes from saying personality disorders don’t make for entertaining hockey to wanting a manic GM…. 😂 Hmm???? Do you want personality disorders in hockey GMs or not my dude?

  6. Our hockey is only villainous when it’s your team against us, general consensus from impartial 3rd parties is we’re fun and chaotic.

I mean if you wanna talk boring hockey, the Caps who we “made boring” have had “pass it to Ovechkin while he’s standing behind the faceoff dot” as their primary gameplan for the past 20 years. To the point it has been nicknamed Ovechkin’s Office.

  7. Boring trades like bringing in a superstar and then trading him away six weeks later. Is that not manic enough for you? Is that not chaos enough for you?

  8. He’s right. Their GM should trade a starting center, defenseman, a top prospect, and maybe picks for Quinn Hughes all for him to leave for NJ in the summer and them have nothing to show for it. Ovi retires. You have to rebuild. Now that’s chaos.

  9. I honestly thought the article was very tongue in cheek until that very last sentence. Then im like, “you ok, RMNB?”

  10. I can only assume this article is a (very unfunny) joke? Making fun of players names? Referring to the home team as “teh ceps”? Saying things like “if not for goaltending….”

If anything is toxic, it’s not Canes hockey, it’s writing like this…

  11. Ok maybe I’m slow but I feel like I missed something here. What exactly about the way we play is considered “boring”?

  12. I want to know how you become a person who publishes your writing for other people to consume in at least a semi-professional capacity without knowing that it’s “_should have_ been a Cap,” not “should of.” Gah!!!

  13. Did bro sleep through last season? Tulsky is more manic than 95% of GMs in the NHL

  14. lol they had their title as beaten by th e boring beasts of the east
Ah yes a team that’s actually made the second round more consistently than you have is boring. Also had outshot you but chose to give you the EXPERIENCE ™ of getting a lead only for us to win in a shootout.

  15. “Boring hockey” has made us the winningest team in the last decade, and each year inching closer to the cup so quite frankly, I’m cool with it.

  16. … I don’t think I approve of Dr. Tulsky being lumped in with “stats bloggers.”
