The amount of hate AJ Brown is getting from this sub is insane. He posted “cryptic” tweets and people acting like he was straight up demanding more targets in an offense that was good. He said all that when they were the 24th offense in the league. They had 1 starter leave from the SuperBowl team. The team that put 90 points in NFCCG and Superbowl. He had every right to express his frustration about an offense that stinks and not getting the ball. This offense under Patullo stinks. It stinks. AJ expressed that months ago before it was fully apparent because people were blinded by their record, which many games were won on the back of defense/special teams. What he was saying has merit, the scheme has him (and everyone else) running routes that negates YAC opportunities. Him Smitty, and Goedert are phenomenal after the catch, and yet, every 4th route their running has them stoping their momentum and turning towards the QB (hitch routes just under 25%). No motions, no play action, just the same old shit over and over again for months. He now had a game with a couple of drops, and this sub wants a top receiver gone. Do you see Dallas fans ripping CeeDee whose had a TON of drops this year and they’re .500? Of course not, but since AJ showed his frustration (just like everyone in this sub has) about the offensive scheme, he gets all the hate in the world. He was complaining about not getting opportunities to help a bottom offense in the league and people act like they were a top 5 unit and he was just complaining to complain. I swear this town would have chased Brady and Belichick out in the 10 year gap between their 3 super bowls wins.

  1. Hate is too strong. Most of us shared his frustrations and were just mildly annoyed that he whines in public, which tends to create needless drama without doing anything to fix the problem.

  2. Not hating on him, but everyone that’s been apart of a team knows that you don’t air out your dirty laundry outside of the group or in this case the locker room. All he did with his media stint this year is create animosity within the team which was further exacerbated by Patullo’s playcalling.

  3. watch some film, you can’t tell me the man is playing with 100% effort. it’s most evident on run blocking reps.

  4. If you’re good enough to make your ego a main character in the locker room and a focal point of the gameplan, you need to be good enough to make plays on the field, and he was horrible against LA. It’s ok to hold him to a high standard; he even said himself that he should have made those plays. 6 catches on 13 targets with three game breaking drops just isn’t good enough, it’s no more complicated than that.

  5. I get it. This city and fan base are highly emotional, especially when the media blows up things. Also the TO situation did not help. However; i do think there’s a right and wrong way to go about expressing your frustration and I think most people are upset about how AJ went about it.

I also believe that the real eagles fans love AJ and don’t want him gone. They know how important the core group of AJ, smitty, Barkley, hurts and possibly goedert are to the success of the eagles.

In the end, wins will fix everything so trying to find out how we can get back to winning is very important….otherwise we’ll be back to “trade AJ, fire Sirianni, bench hurts” crowd talk in this sub for the long offseason.

  6. I don’t blame him honestly. The offense as a whole sucks ass. People wanna bitch and moan about him expressing his frustration and say trade him, easily forget that we were running guys like Jalen Reagor, Shelton Gibson and Josh Huff onto the field not that long ago.

  7. AJ made the mistake of doing two things that can’t be done together. You can’t beg for the ball then fuck up when you get opportunities.

If he never begged for the ball, nobody would trash him for his drops.

If he wasn’t dropping the ball, nobody would trash him for begging for the ball.

You can’t complain then not show up

  8. It’s fine to criticize your players. I want AJ Brown to cook, but right now he’s dropping too much stuff. You can’t complain and give signs you’re upset with your team for not getting enough targets if you’re dropping so many.

  9. I think hate towards any one person is unreal. Except Kevin lol but even that has become a Nick problem for me, and any more of this it’s a Howie/Jeffrey problem.

  10. It’s almost like Nick wright (league plant) has been shitting on the eagles and generating anti Eagles media bias since we played the chiefs in 2022

No one likes us, you forgot that we don’t care

  11. Not reading all of that, anything he’s getting is entirely of his own creation. He created a bunch of drama around himself, made a big cryptic fuss on social media, and followed it up with disappointing effort and big drops in big moments.

  12. 2 things can be true:

    1. He obviously should’ve been getting more targets

    2. He’s been here long enough to know how Philly media reacts and he could’ve handled things in house instead of crying on twitter like a 12 year old

  13. That’s great and all but if he could stop giving up on his routes, do a better job of blocking and maybe catch a few balls that hit him in the hands…I might take his criticism of the offense a bit more seriously.

  14. Too bad the hit in the head with the Gatorade jug knocked amnesia into him and he forgot all about Brian Johnson.

  15. Also, lol if you think cowboys fans don’t complain about Lamb – take a stroll through the game threads

  16. I mean he has every right to be upset, the offense isn’t producing and I’m sure he wants to do more to help the offense, but he’s also in a slump

  17. I feel like i see a post like this every single day. It’s either AJ, Hurts, Sirianni, Howie i’m pretty sure i will see one about Patullo after the Eagles beat the Raiders and the Commanders

  18. I don’t hate him. I do hate that he knows how to trigger the media in ways that detract and distract. I’m not a teenage girl, I don’t want cryptic tweets, sideline books, or open ended sarcastic responses. Hurts gets on the podium and says plainly that he fucked up, we fucked up – no other media bs for him all week long. I expect the same from AJ.
