Ketel Marte trade isn’t happening, I don’t think. That would require us to gut our already shaky pitching rotation.
I believe Brandon Lowe will be traded for pitching & Shane Baz traded for a prospect or two to a team that needs pitching depth.
Rays DFA’d a ton of players with high strikeout rates & seemed to refocus on the pitching first strategy this year.
Trade B Lowe. Sign Bichette. Easy peasy.
Rays can get a huge haul from the Mets by trading Yandy. It clears the 1B log jam and can bring in some young pitchers like Jonah Tong and/or Brandon Sprout. Doubt they would give up McLean
Marte is 32. That scares me some.
