Arizona Cardinals at the Houston Texans. Texans red-hot right now. Nobody wants to see them in the playoffs. Favored by nine and a half against the Cardinals. Over under just 42 and a half. Uh, Texans have a golden opportunity these next couple weeks with the Cardinals, the three- win Cardinals, 3-10. Cardinals this week, Raiders next week for the Titans to uh to stay hot. Yeah. Uh I fear for Jacobe Brand to a degree in this game. Uh not a man that generally protects himself all that well going up against this Houston pass rush and defense. Generally that that feels like a rough day at the office. I mean a similar rough day at the office as it was a week ago uh with him against the Rams. Um, I that part I mean I can’t see a huge world where Arizona has a ton of success on offense because nobody does against this Texans defense right now. Uh, the interesting side is going to be I mean the R the Cardinals defense got wrecked last week by the Rams. Um, the Houston offense obviously is nothing like the Rams, but like can they can they bounce back with some kind of respectable showing this week or are they just terrible? Yeah, I mean, just to touch on the offense right now, it’s it’s one of those things that’s like easier said than done, but if there’s a weakness for Houston, uh 33rd team research team, throws under two and a half seconds, 6.7 yards per play, that’s 25th in the NF, uh in the NFL, but it’s also because they cover really well, they rush the pass, like it’s it’s tough to to, you know, make those throws. It’s not as simple as I’ll just get rid of it. like it’s a strategy, but you know, you have Stingley, you have Lacer, you’ve got some active linebackers. Jaylen Petri, it’s tough to, you know, have open receivers all the time in in quick game. I also think if you know to protect yourself against Houston, you’d want to run the ball, slow things down, control the clock a little bit. I don’t think Arizona is really equipped to do that. So if they and Brousett’s averaging like 44 pass attempts per game, it is the worst, you know, game control, game flow to face this Houston defense to just get into this drop back pass game non-stop. And Br could make some big throws. He’s attacked the intermediate level. Michael Wilson’s been outstanding without Marvin Harrison Jr. like his without Marvin Harrison numbers are like fantasy gold and everything. He’s been great. They’re just not I don’t think they’re equipped to no to handle. And I just I mean stylistically as well I don’t think Br is a it’s not a good matchup for him either. I mean he holds on to the ball for quite a while. He does it not in the dynamic you know evasive uh athletic way that some other quarterbacks do as well. He just holds on to the ball for quite a long time back there in the pocket uh as a sort of big relatively immobile statue. And that’s just I mean it’s just teeing off time for the the Texans pass rush. Um, and then you’re right, there will be um the other side of the ball. And you know, I think I think look, Houston’s Houston’s offense, Strad made some huge throws in that game against Kansas City a bunch early and then big lull in the middle and then late uh made some really big throws. He was under a lot of pressure like you know they were they were getting after him. Made some big plays. They’ve had you know Woody Marks and the run game has been say opportunistic. I don’t think any of the seasonl long metrics are going to be kind to the Texans run game, but you know, like a seven yard run here and there, a nine yard run here and there. They’ve had some opportunistic runs kind of like what Joe Mixon brought to the table last year for them. And so you still want to have a little bit more efficiency on that side of the ball. And um but I think Arizona’s defense, you’re right, like they were so bad. They they gave up the Urban last week. Yeah. Against the Rams. They gave up full Urban and then and then Jimmy G took it away. Hey, so that’s going to be like Arizona’s defense should be better, right? With their personnel, the additions that they made this off seasonason, other points in the season, they’ve played a lot better, but there’s also just the mental aspect of like are they are they done and checked out? They looked a little checked out last week. I mean, yeah, you don’t you don’t give up a full Urban without bailing on the game without feeling checked out. Without bailing on the game, and Houston, like is this a let down game for Houston? like an emotional Sunday night win against the, you know, af, you know, three-time AFC champions and everything. So, a lot to look at for this one. I mean, it’s a chance, I think, for the Texans offense to show that they can have that they can put together like a decent game when they’re not dealing with a really good defense. Like, Kansas City’s defense was pretty incredible, but the Texans offense is not generally has been struggling for a lot of this season. Um, I think the offensive line is still a major issue for a lot of against a lot of teams. Arizona’s pass rushed. I mean, they’ve got some players that can rush the passer. Josh Schwe is good. Kus Campbell somehow at his age is still able to rush the passer and be a factor. They’ve got a collection of pretty solid pass rushes, but overall it’s not a devastating pass rush. So, like what is the balance of that land at? All right, man. We’re just going to get to picks in a lot of these games. Nine and a half though for Houston at home over under just 42 and a half. It’s you don’t always see the big line with the low total, right? That’s obviously saying low scoring, but Houston dominating this game. What do you think? Yeah, it’s uh it’s a big line, but I think the Texans defense in particular can still make them cover it. I feel like I bet on Arizona every week and they let me down. Give me Arizona. And by bet, I just mean pick. Give me Arizona. At least keep it within the nine and a half, which they haven’t been doing. Uh Harry’s going to take Houston in this one. Hey guys, real quick. 1. Bad oline for the cardinals and bad matchup overall against the Texans defense means… in typical Texans fashion this will be the defenses worst game of the year and will be extremely close, likely decided by last second FG

  2. This notion that the Texans offense is bad is just not true lol KC a GREAT defense threw everything at CJ and he still delivered with 0 turnovers also had a poor performance from the Oline but still made the important completions to win the game… he doesn’t need to be Mahomes , Allen or Burrow he just needs to keep his mistakes to a minimum and make a couple drives here and there.. just because you don’t see monster air yards stacking up doesn’t mean the Texans offense is bad it just means they are not a big play offense which imo is better because the longer you have the ball in your possession the better , would rather have team that holds others to lower points vs a team with an offense that stacks points but can’t stop the opposing team 🚮
