NFL Network’s Kurt Warner on Burrow’s Mindset amid Another Bumpy Bengals’ Season | Rich Eisen Show
So, we saw Joe Burrow and his press conference on Wednesday sound quite frankly downright Andrew Lucky, Kurt, you know, where I’d love for you to translate for me since you speak fluent quarterback what what you thought made of Joe Burrow’s comments on Wednesday. Um, yeah, I don’t know. I mean, I I hate to speculate on on what specifically he was talking about. Was he talking about, you know, more of the Andrew Luck thing where it’s been a rough go and it hasn’t been as fun playing the game because of the injuries and and getting banged around and having to play through injuries. It hasn’t been as smooth and easy as I thought it would be. So, that’s taken away the fun. Is it more uh you know a shot at where the organization is and and the limitations that we’ve seen inside the organization whether that be you know the struggles on defense where they can go out and play well and and still not win g play well offensively and still not win games. Is it you know some of the uh the hits that he’s taken over the years uh because the offensive line has never really been solidified. And so those things not winning and not having the the level of success or having personal success but not team success like he wanted is taking away some of the fun uh you know in this. So I don’t know which way to read it. Um but I I I do understand to a degree you know how those things make the game a lot less fun. um when you’re a competitor um and especially when you’re playing well and your team’s not having success and and you’re at this stage in uh in a season after having made some runs in the playoffs. At this stage in the season, you’re like, I got four games left and you know, four weeks left in the season, we got nothing to play for, you know, and and it’s not fun, you know, once you’ve been there. when you’re a young guy and you just love playing and you’re trying to to prove something, that’s one thing. After you’ve gotten to the uh to the Super Bowl and after you’ve played well in the playoffs, to be out of the playoffs early in a season uh is kind of like, man, can we just start the season over and let’s let’s do this again? We don’t really have anything um you know, to play for from that standpoint. So, there’s a lot of different directions I think, you know, his comments um you know, could could lead us to. I’m not sure which one it is, but uh but but I understand it from any of those sides that it’s not fun to play the game and not win and just be getting beat up and to go through injuries and and struggle through that and um you know, maybe to be on a team uh that just doesn’t have the pieces that you know meet your level of play um to allow you to you know to thrive the way you feel you should be based on the way you’re you’re playing. Hey, you made it all the way to the end. Thanks for that. Check us out every single day streaming live on Disney Plus and the ESPN app 12 to 3 Eastern.

its not fun because its rigged and no talk show is talking about it. blah blah just take the money go home
Sean McVay made Baker Mayfield enjoy football again. Rams have two first round picks this year and a QB that might retire.
Joe begged the Bengals to spend their money on skill players….and they did. Now they have no O-line or defense!
Burrow's lobbied management to pump $$$💰 in two receivers who benefit his arm, at the expense of the defense. He needs to tuff it OUT!!!
I wish I could just quit my job because I'm not having fun
Last thing i want to hear is a guy making millions to do a job that he signed up for complaining about having fun.
It’s not fun when you get injured every year. Torn ACL, calf injury, wrist injury, foot injury. Last week the Bengals play the Bills. Burrow plays great for 3 1/2 quarters. Then he throws two terrible picks at the end of the game and the Bengals lose. He’s probably still pissed about that. Also, playing against the Bills he looks over at Superman (aka Josh Allen) who never gets hurt and wonders why the hell can Josh Allen play like that and he never gets hurt.
Les snead and Sean mcvay🤔
A supreme talent who is injury prone…he's been sacked tons but none of injuries are related to getting sacked.
I'm glad I didn't get a #9 jersey. I'm grateful I'm a procrastinator. 🫡
Oh my God. Warner's teeth and makeup. I can't. Nice beard contouring, dude.
Joe Burrow needs to call all the plays on the field during the game because he has a much higher football IQ than Zac Taylor.
Does any NFL team have a flawless offensive line? No!! Burrow holds on to the ball and tries to do too much when there’s nothing there! Just throw the ball away and live to fight another down.
KOC + jettas
The Bengals front office historically has a nasty tendency of breaking the pieces they've been gifted – perhaps they have done it again. And their latest victim is Joe Burrow.
How does he go back to his team after this? To have the leader of your team question if he wants to keep playing has to be a difficult thing to hear. And, what about his offensive line? Will they feel some guilt?
Is Kurt wearing eyeliner?
My Christmas wish for the Bengals…A new owner who cares and a real head coach.
He’s a competitor. He’s tired of losing.
