Knicks Trade IMMINENT – Report Reveals MASSIVE Update…
A New York Knicks trade is imminent as multiple reports have given a massive update regarding the Knicks and a trade that they want to make as all signs point to this with the Knicks moving on from some of their players in order to land an NBA veteran who they are a big fan of. While this also has an impact on Landry Shamid’s future with the Knicks as well regarding his injury, not about him getting traded. he would not be dealt in any deal, but he does. His future with the Knicks directly gets impacted by this as well. Guys, we’re going to go over everything surrounding this move and we are going to jump into things. But real quick, if you are part of that percentage that’s not subscribed to Nick’s digest, that 56%, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a single Knicks update. We got videos coming out every single day regarding the Knicks, breaking down everything on this team all the time. But guys, let’s jump into the video. There is a lot to go over as a Knicks trade is imminent as multiple sources have revealed cuz look the Knicks they have someone who they have liked. Now I’ve talked about this guy before and saying that the Knicks have been linked to him but the Knicks absolutely love Jos Alvarado and now a trade for him is quite imminent as we’ve seen from Ian Begley. The Knicks will be among teams that would be interested in José Alvarado if the Pelicans make him available via trade. And they are interested, as we’re about to show you. Look, in 22 minutes per game, Alvarado puts up nine points per game, three rebounds, and three assists. He’s shooting 38% from three this season and 45% from the field. He’s an excellent just floor general, can handle the ball, gets steals, and really could become the Knicks version of TJ McConnell that the Indiana Pacers had. And that is one of the big reasons why the Knicks are super super interested in him. Now, Big Nick Energy, who does have sources, I know some people don’t like them. I mean, I I’ll be honest, I’m blocked from that Twitter account for stupid reasons, but look, they did mention that their sources indicate that a potential trade for Joseé Alvarado is highly likely with an agreement coming in the next week. and they said that they’re told it is a 75 to 85% chance that the Knicks deal for Alvarado. Now, this is obviously surprising news considering everything with the Knicks right now because trade season is open in 3 days. It’s currently Friday, December 12th. And with that in mind, December 15th is that big day. Once December 15th comes around, trades can be made. We know Leon Rose is pretty adept to making trades earlier than the trade deadline. He doesn’t wait for the deadline. We saw that with Cam Reddish. We saw that with OG on Anobi. It’s not his first time not making a trade on the deadline and going a bit early for the guy who they want. The Knicks, they have been worried about their guard depth. And Ian Begley did say that. He did say if there’s anything that the Knicks would trade for, his guess and his money would be on that being a backup point guard. The Knicks are still weary about not having a backup point guard is they don’t really consider Deuce McBride or Jordan Clarkson a back a backup floor general. and they really do want to get one of those really badly and Alvarado fits that bill. He gives them Alvarado would give them a whole lot of good whether it’s defensively as he gets a lot of steals is a very strong defender even though he’s undersized and on top of that get has really had solid offensive production this year as well. Nine points on 38% from three. That is something that you could work with really really really easily. Now, it does impact everyone else in the Knicks as well, sort of figuring out what happens because it does change the roles of Duce McBride a little bit, makes him a true shooting guard and puts Jordan Clarkson in more of a wing position. But Clarkson has been inconsistent this year, which is one of the reasons why the Knicks are likely interested in Alvarado. And also, again, the Knicks want someone to be a good a really good ball handler when Jaylen Brunson’s off the floor. Right now, the guy who that’s mainly been is Tyler Kolick. Kolick is in his second year with the Knicks and he’s had his ups and downs. Look, his on the court, off the court splits have not been good. The Knicks, their advanced metrics say that they’re better when Kolix’s off the floor. And with that in mind, there has been a lot of discussion of this being the likely trade. The Knicks acquire Jose Alvarado from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Piccom Dier and Tyler Kolick. Now, some Knicks fans aren’t going to like this deal considering that Dier and Kolick are two of their young guys. But with this in mind, Kolick is someone who truly just he looks decent for sure and he looks like he could really get better. However, the Knicks, they don’t want to wait for Tyler Kick to get better. They want to be good right now. Meanwhile, Pomeier has had a shaky start. He’s not gotten a ton of minutes. The Knicks don’t seem too confident in him at the moment. The New Orleans Pelicans got two young guys while getting off that José Alvarado contract, which isn’t bad, but he does have a player option for $4.5 million next year. And if he opts out of it, the Pelicans, I mean, they have a guy who they could trade and get something for. They’d lose him for nothing or be paying a guy who just doesn’t really make sense for their team considering the Pelicans are hot garbage. With that in mind, everything does point to this trade going down. I I’ll be honest, I like the trade. I the Knicks, they’re they’re trying to win now. And right now, Dier hasn’t shown that he’s an NBA player, and Tyler Kolic hasn’t shown that he’s an NBA player as good as Jos Alvarado. And yeah, maybe in a couple years the trade looks bad, but if the Knicks succeed and win an NBA title, it’d be easier to do that with Jose Alvarado this year than with Pakome Doier and Tyler Colick this year. And then if one of Doier or Kick pans out, maybe the trade doesn’t look as good. But if the Knicks ultimately do come out and win, then things do feel a little bit better. Now on top of that, we do see that Dier has mainly been a he’s been a G-League player this year. I mean, 18 points per game, putting up four and a half rebounds and two assists. The numbers are not bad, but the shooting percentages are 38% from the field, 33% from three. Just not what you want to see out of PCOM dier thus far where the shooting in inefficiency has it’s just been rough. It’s been hard to watch and it’s been hard for the Knicks because they don’t know what to do with him now, especially with Muhammad Aar who already looks better. Now, Shams did also mention a while back about Landry Sham being injured and being re-evaluated in four weeks of the right shoulder sprain. Now, Shamut has been one of the league’s top shooters, shooting 42.4% from three and had emerged as a starter before sustaining the shoulder injury. Now, the reason this matters is because now, all these days later, these two weeks later, we still need to see what’s going to happen with Shamid because the Knicks, they’re now down a player in this situation and they’re going to need to add someone else to the roster if Shamid’s not healthy. I mean, they could add a two-way guy. They could sign one of them and it wouldn’t really impact the money. So, one of Toana, Kevin McCuller Jr. or Trey Gemson will get signed in this situation. I would not be shocked if it’s Kevin McCuller, but also very likely might just be a WMA because the man’s talented enough. But we’ll obviously see how that plan goes. But it comes down to a lot. I mean, the Knicks like Shaman, if Sham’s going to be able to come back, then they’re going to be fine with keeping him. But there’s a world where Shamid’s not able to come back or he dislocated his shoulder and needs surgery. And if he does, then the Knicks are going to wave Landry Shamid because his contract just is not guaranteed at this time. So Shamut’s contract gets guaranteed by January 1st. So until then, the Knicks can wave his contract and it does not affect their financial situation. I love Landry Shamat. I don’t want to see him get waved. But if he’s not going to be able to come back this season because he’s severely injured, the Knicks are just 100% going to wave him. They’re not going to hold on to him because they’re going to want to use that roster spot on an actual player. Who that whoever that is is a mystery. I mean, maybe they look they’ll look in free agency. They’ll probably see what’s up with Malik Beasley. They’ll probably check in with Alec Burks. I wouldn’t be shocked if they see if the Pacers are going to hold on to Garrison Matthews for the season. If they do, I wouldn’t be shocked if the Knicks talk to Matt Ryan again. There will be some different guys who the Knicks look at in this situation. But they’re going to have to do someone because it’s just slow. It’s slowly and slowly becoming a bigger situation, especially if they give up two guys. I mean, look, when we look at Shamut, the man has had an excellent season, putting up nine points, two rebounds, one assist, shooting 42% from three, and 48% of the corner three. Landry Sham’s been absolutely phenomenal for the Knicks. And I hope he comes back because that’s the best possible option. Meanwhile, Tyler Kolick is the main piece of the trade that gets moved away. Kick in 10 minutes for game is putting up 3.6 points and two assists while shooting 45% from the field and 30% from three. His shot is starting to get better and better, which is really good to see. But at the same time, I’d be willing to move him before José Alvarado. How do you feel about this trade? Would you be willing to do it? Let me know in the comments down below. Yes yes yes… I know we need wings and a BIG also but we definitely need a decent back up PG. It’s not so much that he’s the best PG but what he is is something we need on this squad desperately: and he’s a DAWG! Somebody who embodies the NY state of mind and what else would you expect born and raised Brooklyn Kid. ! Make the call ☎️ bring our dude home!
It’s not only about winning now. Yes we are in position to win now but the Team is assembled to challenge a championship for years to come. Build for sustainability 3–5 yrs plan.
Bro is not that good or worth it
Kolek could have been much farther along in his development if not for Thibs. Keep the kid here!
Bro said I’ll be honest I’m blocked 😂
Trading assets for a backup point guard who will only play a few minutes behind Jalen Brunson is stupid. The knicks are thinner at center and power forward. Moreover, Tyler Kolek deserve a chance to show what he can do if given enough playtime.
I don't understand how is this is a even a story the pelicans haven't said anything about trading this man
How many guards do we need ?!?
Go after Herb Jones
Add herb Jones to this deal I'm all in
Alvarado is a native NYer. We love our own.
When healthy he can help us against most teams. The issues are he is injury prone and his size on defense. Also giving up Kolek and Dadiet who we might need for a bigger trade could be a disaster.
