I live quite close to philly and in my driving life have maybe listened to 94.1 a dozen times cause of how absolutely dogshit of a group of people they are in terms of eagles opinions. I have never heard people shit on a team and player so much. And then to have the audacity to watch hurts play and have a rough game, which he has an incredibly few of and say let’s put in the guy who had a good game against the giants in 2024 in a meaningless week 18 game and showed signs he could possibly start in the nfl in the preseason. I just don’t know how dense and small minded you have to be to watch the team play and go yea hurts is the reason this sucks let’s put in a guy with basically zero nfl experience as opposed to the guy that’s 1-1 in super bowls. Hurts has been awful for the last month, with the Chargers game being the tip top of shit mountain. OL injuries aren’t helping, the offensive scheme isn’t helping, but I still believe a lot of the responsibility sits with Hurts.
Having said that, if anyone is actually suggesting that we move on from him right now (which is wha starting McKee would be) they’re just not a serious person.
I think a lot of fans just get really heated in the moment. The live thread of the last game was just a sea of “BENCH HURTS?! WHERE IS TANNER?” Those very same people 24 hours later would likely be singing a different tune. They just get so wrapped up in the moment, so emotionally invested, that they don’t think rationally.
The number of people who have posted these rants exceeds the number of people who have called for benching Hurts. Ignore the vocal minority and clickbait media.
